    Well done Lucy! I would like to add that the best time to look for a rental is definitely from April to August. Because lots of the Europeans (which had a 6 months lease) are leaving for the European summer therefore the prices are better and there are more options.
    What we found very bizarre is that if you contact an agent they consider you as their client and you should not contact another agent....😉 otherwise you get in trouble🙈 very wired rule here in Mauritius 🇲🇺

    Those website you gave are better put together than some of the website here in the USA. Really like how detail it is, as you can search in detail what you want. Saw a 400 US dollar penthouse in Blue Bay that my jaw drop of the price of it. What a bargain.

    Note that utility rates, more especially electricity, differ allot between free standing houses in "local" areas vs staying in RES areas more aimed at expats.
    These days the whole stretch from Cap Malheureux until Troux Aux Biches expats stay in. Pereybere is loosing traction for long term expats who rather prefer a bit less density.
    Although more expensive, all the Mont Choisy developments is going to be a hub in the next 5 - 10 years.

      Thanks for the info. There is a ton of development going on all over the island…smart cities popping up everywhere.

      @@LucyLeheilleix Very true, I just hope they look at increasing road infrastructure as well. These single main roads are becoming a pain in most main areas.

    • @LucyLeheilleix
      @LucyLeheilleix  2 года назад

      Absolutely. For now, there doesn’t seem to be much change in infrastructure such as improving roads….just building complex’s, villas and apartments and smart cities….

    Thank you for this insightful video! I'm working with a well known agency in Mauritius to secure an apartment and noticed that the contract shows the lessors name, account number, and bank name with instructions to forward payments there. Is this common in Mauritius? I was expected a secure online payment portal.

    • @LucyLeheilleix
