Hi, thank you so much for this video! I wanna ask you something. so this summer I'm planning a solo trip to Osaka, but I also want to visit some other places like Kyoto, Teshima, and Tottori. I'd like some tips and advice on traveling there, as well as an effective route to reach all these destinations. i will be traveling to Kyoto from Osaka by train, and for Teshima, I'm planning to take the train to Himeji first, then a boat to Teshima Island. As for Tottori, I plan to depart from Himeji by train as well. Can you reccommend which pass should i get? Thank you!!!
Thank you, glad the video is helpful. In terms of your trip to Osaka, Kyoto, Himeji, Teshima Island and Tottori. Getting the Kansai WIDE Area Pass will be the good choice as it covered all the mentioned areas. Maybe except the ferry from Uno station to Teshima island. Here's the timetable for the ferry (Shodoshima Teshima Ferry Inc.) - teshima-navi.jp/en/access/ For your trip from Himeji to Teshima Island, you can take the train with the pass from Himeji to Uno Station in Okayama. Same apply when traveling back to Himeji. As for Teshima and Tottori, sorry, i couldn't provide any further advices as i have not been able to explore the areas yet. But Tottori Sand Dunes (Tottori Sakyu) is an unexpected attraction in Japan. You can access use this - japantravel.navitime.com/en/ to plan your trip according to your date and preferred time, with your preferred pass indicated.
It will be safe to collect at Kansai. For Tokyo region, this is the location that JR West listed. faq-support.westjr.co.jp/hc/en-us/articles/8881089391119-Is-it-possible-to-collect-tickets-reserved-through-JR-WEST-ONLINE-TRAIN-RESERVATION-at-stations-other-than-those-operated-by-JR-West-such-as-Tokyo-Station
Hi, if you have this pass and like to board the green car seat, you need to make a seat reservation from either the ticket machine or from the ticket counter and pay the additional fare for the green car seat. (First Class)
Can I reserve the Hello Kitty Shinkansen before arriving to Japan to secure a ticket? Or do I have to be in Japan to activate it and than reserve it? I’m afraid the Hello Kitty train will be all sold out by then.
You can go to their official website and purchase the ticket. Select the Hello Kitty Train under the "specify train" section. www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/route_search/

Hi, you just need to show your pass to the bus driver, you don't need to scan the pass. Remember, you can only take the JR bus, and not the local city bus with this pass. If you enter the bus from the center door, just show it to the driver when you exit from the front.
Thanks for the very informative video. Can you also make a video about the JR WEST KANSAI AREA PASS? I know it only covers routes until Himeji but what are the other differencea between the 2? Thanks
Thanks for the suggestion, will try to work on it but will take some time. But here's a quick information; 1. No Bullet Train "SHINKANSEN", no Hello Kitty Shinkansen. 2. Reserved Seat up to 2 times only, not unlimited. 3. West JR Bus in Kyoto City Only 4. It don’t cover the Kishi area where the Cat station is. 5. It don’t cover the themed train along the Kyoto Tango Railway and other local rail lines cover by the Kansai Wide Area Pass. 6. It's more cater to visitors visiting Osaka and Kyoto cities and major attractions route, like Kobe, Himeji and Nara. 7. It comes with Kyoto City Subway, Keihan Railway, or Hankyu Railway 1-Day Pass. In the meantime, hope it helps.
@@simplifytravel This JR WEST KANSAI AREA PASS sounds like what I would need for my trip. Can you clarify where I can get this pass? Is there a website or can I just order on something like Klook? Thanks.
Yes, you can get them from either from their official website - www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/pass/kansai/ (Remember to double check when checkout as the differences between the 2, the JR West Kansai Area Pass and the JR West Kansai WIDE Area Pass, is just the "WIDE" word. Or from Klook - bit.ly/3uyOnbi Or JRpass - click.jrpass.com/SH8U Hope it help.

The info seems good but the ai voice makes me distrust the video. I associate it with clickbait.
