Good day to you too! Sadly Kansai Hiroshima pass cannot go to Hakata station in Fukuoka. But there are other pass that can reach Hakata station, for example, Sanyo-San'in Area pass at 23,000 yen (7days), or JR-WEST All Area Pass at 26,000 yen (7days) or Sanyo-San’in Northern Kyushu Pass 26,000 yen (7days). Depending on your itinerary, these passes reach Hakata station with Sanyo Shinkansen. Sanyo-San'in Area pass cover more areas and almost the same with Hiroshima pass except it don't cover beyond Wakayama station. (www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/pass/sanyo_sanin/) JR-WEST All Area Pass cover the widest areas of all kansai pass (eastern Kansai), including areas covered by Hiroshima pass. (www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/pass/all/) Sanyo-San’in Northern Kyushu Pass also cover the widest on the most western side, more on the Fukuoka side. (www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/pass/ssnk/) Let's say if getting the Kansai Hiroshima pass is at. 17,000 yen (5 days), from Hiroshima station to Hakata Shinkansen train is additional 8,570 yen, total will be 25,570 yen. So getting either the Sanyo-San'in Area pass or the JR-WEST All Area Pass or the Sanyo-San’in Northern Kyushu Pass might be worth it. Hope it help.
Thanks for the detailed information, i do have query. Can i travel under JR PASS from Kansai airport to Hiroshima station? Or do i need to buy extra ticket?
For the Kansai Hiroshima Pass, you can take from Kansai Airport to Shin-Osaka station. Then from Shin-Osaka station to Hiroshima station, because the Shinkansen train only run along or start from Shin-Osaka station. There's no direct train from Kansai Airport to Hiroshima. You don't need to buy extra ticket, but remember to reserve your seat before your ride. (Although there are some non-reserved seat available) Even for the Nationwide JR PASS, you still need to stop at Shin-Osaka station, no extra ticket needed.
Yes, it include the normal JR Line trains, Special Rapid Services, Rapid Services, and Local trains on JR-WEST Conventional lines, within the pass usage area.
No, the pass don't cover the public bus from the airport. You need to pay for the bus from the airport to one of the JR station, example, Shiraichi station. From Shiraichi station to Hiroshima station, the pass cover the JR San'yo Main Line(Okayama-Shimonoseki). @@simplifytravel thanks for the response. One more query. Which pass covers kyoto nara Tokyo … i can cover Hiroshima n osaka in 5 days with kansai Hiroshima pass , but not sure which pass is suitable for Kyoto Tokyo n around areas, any suggestions please? Also the official site to get these passes?
Hi, there's no single pass that cover the kansai area and the Tokyo area. The Kansai Hiroshima pass does cover Osaka, Kyoto and Nara area, but not Tokyo. Getting a separate single trip ticket from Shin-osaka to Tokyo is much cheaper than getting a "Hokuriku Arch Pass". Of course the above is based on your return trip back home is departing from Narita Airport, so you won't have to travel back to Osaka. Traveling from osaka to tokyo and back to osaka, might be expensive. If you can, arrive on either airport then depart from another airport, it save you on the train trip expenses. In terms on where you can buy the passes, the official site is JR website. Kansai Pass - www.westjr.co.jp/global/en/ticket/pass/kansai_hiroshima/
