    excellent video! One question, if I want to go to Nagano then would the TWP cover me until Sakudaira? and then what should I do? Should I get off the train and buy another ticket to Nagano? Or can I continue the journey and when I get off they charge me the remaining amount?

    • @simplifytravel
      @simplifytravel  3 месяца назад +1

      Yes, the TWP cover you until Sakudaira.
      If you are taking any train with reserved seat, then you will need to get off the train and buy another ticket to Nagano because another passenger might have reserved the same seat for the remaining trip.
      You can remain in the journey if it is a non-reserved seat and pay the remaining amount at the destination station.
      I believe you will be taking the Shinkansen, so when you reserved your seat using the TWP until Sakudaira, you can also purchase the ticket in advance from Sakudaira to Nagano. If lucky enough, you can either reserved the same train and seat or different seat in the train. If you find it difficult to purchase the ticket from the ticket machine, you can ask the JR ticket office for help.
      If you don't mind to pay a bit more, since you are going to Nagano, you can purchase the JR East Pass, Nagano, Niigata area. Consider you need to purchase a return ticket, it can be worth a consideration.

    Hi! I'm traveling to Tokyo on the 1st week of December. Should I buy the Tokyo wide pass now or do I wait a month before my travel before I buy?

    • @simplifytravel

      For Tokyo Wide Pass (Regional Pass), the earliest date you can purchase, is only 1 month in advance from the usage day. (Please refer to this links - Usable periods / times) - www.eki-net.com/top/tr/guide/reserve/timein.html

      Yes, it cover agatsuma line from Shibukawa station to Ōmae station. (Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi and Haneo station.

      @@simplifytravel so the cheapest way to go to kusatsu onsen is by riding Agatsuma Line to Haneo station (covered by Tokyo Wide Pass), then taking bus from haneo station/Okuwamichi to Kusatsu Onsen (680yen)?

    • @simplifytravel
      @simplifytravel  5 месяцев назад

      Why don't you try traveling from Ueno station to Kusatsu Onsen (if that's your destination), there is a direct train that start from 10am. (Kusatsu‧Shima train)
      The Tokyo wide pass cover the train ride.
      But when you get to the Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi station, the JR bus ride from the station to Kusatsu onsen is not cover. But the fare can be pay by Japan IC card. (around 710 yen)

      @@simplifytravel I watched that video too.. I'm planning to go to Kusatsu Onsen right from Narita Airport. My first plan is to take Narita Express to Tokyo Station (covered by Tokyo Wide Pass, then take Hokuriku Shinkansen to Karuizawa Station. But the bus fare from Karuizawa Station to Kusatsu Onsen is 2240yen, so I'm thinking about going to Haneo station first (since it's still covered by Tokyo Wide Pass). The bus fare from Haneo Station (Okuwamichi) to Kusatsu Onsen is 680yen (checked from google map), hopefully it's correct.. Any advice?

    • @simplifytravel
      @simplifytravel  5 месяцев назад

      From google, it does have the bus stop, but i can't advice on that since not been there before.
      But if i would, i still prefer the Ueno route, reasons :
      1. After from flight, must be tired, i would prefer less train or bus transfer. Direct route is more preferred.
      2. Don't have to worry if there will be bus at Haneo station, since it is in rural area and might be delay or cancel due to weather situation.
      3. You can take the train from Toyko to Ueno instead of Karuizawa station.
      4. I don't think Hokuriku Shinkansen travel to Haneo station directly, you need to transfer too. - www.jreast.co.jp/multi/en/routemaps/hokurikushinkansen.html
      5. Easier and popular route to take.
      Above is just my thoughts.

    Hiii,
    I bought mine in Jr east website and I booked the fuji excursion train from shinjuku to Kawaguchiko station. I selected "Car #1" during my reservation and it says i won't have to pay any additional cost. However, based on your video, if i reserved in car #1, I will need to pay for additional cost. I am quite confused. Because the total during my reservation says "OJPY". Can you clarify this?

    • @simplifytravel
      @simplifytravel  11 месяцев назад

      The Fuji Excursion train that you has booked is operated by JR East, that run from shinjuku to kawaguchiko station. It is included in the JR Tokyo wide pass. Fuji Excursion Train -www.jreast.co.jp/hachioji/fuji_excursion/en/
      The Car #1 that was mentioned in the video is the Fujisan View Express, that required additional cost. This unique train only run from Otsuki station to Kawaguchiko station. It is operated by private railway operator Fuji Kyuko.
      Here's the links for your reference - www.fujikyu-railway.jp/fujisan-view-express/en/about/
      Hope it helps to clarify better.

    Hi all destinations need to reserve seat before boarding the train? I plan to go Mount Fuji , but the seat is not available, can I take the train without seat?

    • @simplifytravel
      @simplifytravel  Год назад

      For train that have non-reserved seat, you don't need to reserve. Just have to buy the ticket for your destination and sit in the non-reserved cars.
      Depending on the type of trains you are taking, the JR trains in the Fujikyu lines have both reserved seat and non-reserved seat. If the reserved seat is full, you can take the non-reserved seat. But do note that, if the non-reserved seats are full too, you might need to stand throughout the ride.
