Red or White Rose? What do you think?

It is traditional to give Red Roses on Valentines day.
In Greek Mythology the rose is associated with Aphrodite, the goddess of love, beauty, and fertility. Legend has it that the rose was created from her tears and the blood of her lover Adonis. In Roman mythology, the rose is linked to Venus.
The red colour signifies deep emotions, particularly romantic love, making it a popular choice for expressing affection. A Single Red Rose can express love at first sight or to convey a singular, powerful emotion. A bouquet of twelve red roses is a classic and popular choice. It symbolizes complete love and is often seen as a gesture of deep commitment and appreciation.
According to legend, while in prison awaiting execution, St. Valentine healed the blind daughter of his jailer. He is often portrayed as a compassionate and charitable figure who cared for the well-being of others.
With this in mind I felt it could be a time for us all to share a little compassion and kindness. So i printed a White Rose which are frequently used as symbols of tranquillity and peace. Their pure and serene appearance makes them a natural choice for expressing a desire for harmony and calmness.

Both are beautiful, but the white one just has a bit more wow factor.

I like the white better - what I really like is the nature of the prints, the one way some areas are stronger than others.
