Painting Tutorial, a lovely little Willow Warbler in watercolour, gaining a little confidence.
This was the second warbler I painted for the September Newsletter, after such a long break from painting I was still feeling very rusty, but my confidence had already started to pick up from the last painting. I am less apprehensive and more decisive. I love the composition of this one and thoroughly enjoyed the painting from start to finish... I hope you enjoy it and may try painting it yourself.

Hayle Estuary Wander at the End of August
Просмотров 2721 день назад
Time to catch up on the happenings at the Estuary, I recorded this right at the end of August. There is not a huge about to see at this time of year, except of course our amazing resident gulls, Canada Geese and a few other species. You can see from my previous videos in the same place we get a lot of visiting migrating birds in the winter months so it will soon be time to spot a few. I shared ...

Very sweet little bird. Nice job.

I just found you via Instagram. As I watch this you’re talking about what you use and I’m thinking perhaps you could post links in the description to the supplies you use? Also, in your warbler tutorial video you posted a link to the photograph but that didn’t work. When I tried the link it said “forbidden”. Just thought it would be good for you to know. I’m looking forward to watching other videos you’ve posted, hoping to learn something new 😊
thank you so much for your feedback I really appreciate it, I have now changed the link and it should work, hopefully, Thats a really good idea for the materials too... I am fairly new to doing this sort of video so your help is much appreciated thank you 🙂
nice result👍

@@impressionsofnature 様 I agree. It's a shame that there are no walking videos, but the text can be found on Google, which is convenient! i am japanese あなたの作品がとても好きです。感動しました。私も自然や植物が大好きです、昨日は日本はお月見でした。月を見ながらお団子などを食べます
@@Tuo17m amazing really isn’t it! Lovely to virtually meet you Welcome! 😊
I enjoyed the so much - thank you for taking the time to film and post it. I find your approach very interesting, the combination of drawing and adding colour is so effective and I learned a lot about layering colour and letting the paint do it's thing.
that is really lovely to hear I am so glad you found it useful, I am going to post another one tomorrow so hopefully you will enjoy that too🙂
Stunning!❤

No, it’s not too vibrant. It’s great. I’ve been experimenting with botanicals and the gelliplate, but since I discovered your channel I started using your method too.

@@maryclemons1048 thank you I am so glad you are enjoying them 😊
Found this via your website, which I found via stumbling across some of your fb short videos. (Have since subscribed to your newsletter!) These are such interesting collections of artwork, and seems such an amazing way of exploring your interests. I found it amazing how you manage to have created them in a way that seems more than 2D, feeling-wise. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you for this entire series, your presentation style is authentic and relaxing, have enjoyed them all. Could you possibly tell me who made the music for this clip? It's very lovely!
@@teacakelake5098 thank you I am so glad you enjoyed it. The music is a royalty free clip from adobe so I’m afraid I don’t know sorry
It was so lovely to see all the wildflowers left to feed the insects birds.
Yes I agree, I really appreciate it such a simple things and so beneficial 😊
Delightful! It was a lovely walk around and the wind wasn't bothersome at all, in fact it helped create the feeling of being there. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you, I am so glad you enjoyed it :) it does create the atmosphere and as its the highest point it is usually windy...
lovely little walk👍
😍
Beautiful…reminds me vert much of out woods my husband and l walk through her in Ontario Canada ❤️😃
Oh wow that is very interesting I imagined them to seem very English 🤣 thank you
The second I saw that leaf it ignited my trauma. I think that is what is called PTSD. Any gardeners that can relate???
Ha ha yes 🤣
Now where's the doc leaf
Oh yes I need to do that next 😊
Wow... m sure this is not easy as it looks in the video.. Which ink do you use? And how do you remove that stains from your hands 😅
It does take a bit of practice but its fairly straightforward 🙂 all the materials I use are listed here www.impressionsofnature.co.uk/materials they are water washable so it does come off...
Which ink do you use ?
That pause, looking up through the canopy was beautiful - thank you for that. It was almost hypnotic... The bluebell woods were also wonderful - I can't get over how it went on and on and that last camera pan emphasised the breadth of their spread - pretty glorious to be there in person I would think!
Thank you, I am so glad you liked it! It was pretty remarkable, I was down there again today but now the bluebells have gone over and it is different again... the green of the fresh leaves was so vivid without the balance of the blue...
@@impressionsofnature Interesting isn't it, how colours affect each other and also what we notice.
@@jillayne2263 very much so just thinking about it again today
Love seeing your bird drawings, they're always a delight.
thank you, that is lovely to hear
these are lovely! how do your lines appear so clean and clear? is it the type of leaves/flowers or how hard you push the roller on them?
thank you, I think because I am always so focused on the detail, I concentrate on getting that balance of ink and pressure just right and its why I print with my hands mostly so that I can be particularly sensitive... I hope that makes sense.
nice😄
So pretty!
It was just gorgeous 😊
