The tragedy where King Aegon V died was at Summerhall not Harrenhall. It was a luxury palace the Targaryens built in the stormlands and was often the home of second sons. Many of the Targaryen extended family were gathered there to witness the supposed return of the dragons and thus the tragedy severely weakened the family as few survived.
If Viserys III & Daenerys is on this list it’s only fair that Rhaenyra is too since she actually sat on the iron throne for half a year & neither of them ever did
Thanks for the comment! You're right Rhaenyra did sit the throne for a short span and should have been listed too, but I opted not to in worry of any spoiler.
@@doseoffantasy to be fair Im pretty sure Joffrey spoiled her death in Game of Thrones Season 3 when showing his betrothed (idk how to spell her name and can't be bothered to look it up) the dragon skulls. So her death is the one everyone already knows, even without having read Fire and Blood. However it was still the smart decision to leave her out of the video because it's a guarantee that at least a few people would have come for you about spoilers if you had mentioned her. Lol
No, Rhaenyra was the first woman to claim the iron throne but never really got to rule the seven kingdoms so she is not considered the first queen, and neither one of her sons ever legitimazed her claim and reign so sadly she doesn't count as a ruler
Rhaenyra should of been mentioned, also if you were going to mention Prince Viserys, then it would of been just to mention Prince Rhaegar too, as he was first heir and Prince of Dragonstone!
Fire & Blood is Just an Archmaester 'rewriting hearsay' House of the Dragon TV show is showing us what 'actually happened in Westerosi History' So I have a feeling there's more to Rhaenyra's Death since there's been 'more to' everything
Rhaenyra was not technically queen as the war with Aegon was still ongoing and there cant be 2 kings at the same time. Either 2 claimants and no king or 1 king and claimants (Rhaenyra, Blackfyres etc).
In the books she isn't impervious except during the witch burning, because of magic. But to answer your question shortly yes. Her great grandfather and one of his sons even burned alive in the fire of summerhall. So did laena velaryon whom was half targaryen and full valyrian.
Why is Rhaenyra not here.... She was literally the ruling Queen for 6 months and outright won the Dance of the Dragons before being tricked by Aegon II....
She wasn't tricked she just had a lot of bad luck, first with the greens removing the treasury from kings landing, and then aegon ii taking dragonstone without her learning about it.

Hals, not halls. Single L if You please :)))
I feel like if Viserys III made this list then Rhaenyra definitely qualifies.
Yeah and dany whom ruled kings landing for less than a day yet she's a queen and rhae isn't?
Rhaenyra was never a queen tho
@@mandisi She sat the iron throne and ruled for months. Also, she was an actual named heir where as Viserys probably wasn't.

Aegon the Younger really had a tragic life.
Short and sweet. I don’t know if you did this for the sake of spoilers but you seem to have left out Rhaenyra Targaryen.
yeah Rhaenyra is the only Queen, besides Cersei, to sit on the Iron Throne

Why is Rhaenyra never mentioned in these lists? She did sit the throne for like half a year and was crowned rightful queen.
Because shes not a king shes a queen duhh 😐
@@ainisairanen2169 Daenerys is on the list.
She’s not listed as a ruler in Westeros and was made illegitimate
@@pshaaaax805 Viserys named her his heir making her the legitimate claimant during the dance of dragons
@@Rhaenyssupporter Yh “claimant” doesn’t mean she was a legitimate ruler there were many claimants such as the blackfyres
The first queen was actually Rhanyra, for 6 months.
Daenerys, as much as I love her, was never properly crowned not sat in the iron throne.
Wait until you read the GRRM version of events.
Thanks for the great summary! I believe you left out Rhaenyra though ^.^
Nice video!
Great video.. easy sub
2nd Queen Renerya ruled for half a year before Aegon II killed her
Best out there!!
Thank you my bro!
What if maegor just slipped and killed his elf on the throne 😹😹
it was the faceless men who killed him

Rhaegar died before his father Aerys II, so he could not count as a king

Should have*, dude.
But John Snow is also Targaryen, his father is Rhaegar Targeryen, is it told somewhere how he died?
yeah pretty in debt in the books

Isn't Jon Snow a Targaryen too? I seem to remember Bran saying he was the true king
He isn’t a Targaryen in the book Canon.

Aegon and viserys was aegons grandchildren if i remember correctly
Aegon the uncrowded and his brother viserys were aegon's grandchildren through his son Aenys.

aegon II die in his litter (after presumedly being poisoned, yes) and aegon v died at summerhall

rhaenyra????? PUT HER
Viserys "III" and Daenerys on the list??? There were only 17 Targaryen monarch approved by GRRM.
This list is crap 😂😂 only 17 Targaryen Kings like you said

She lost the war of TDOD, so her reign became illegitimate.
