This video on Dose of Fantasy, will be telling you about how every Targaryen King died!.
The only thing bothering me about the dance of dragons is, that it’s mainly a tool for GRRM to get rid of all the overpowed nukes flying around so GoT can happen in the first place. Some of the dragon deaths are incredible writing but others like vermax and the dragon seed deaths are just a contrived way to get rid of these overpowered beings so Robert’s rebellion stands a chance to begin with.
Balerion reminds me of Thoron.
I hate the fact that most of if them died ,by poisoning or illness instead of battlefield
Cannibal?
Balerion- 0:46 Meraxes- 0:58 Vahgar- 1:20 Quicksilver- 1:34 Vermithor- 1:48 Silverwing- survived and escaped Syrax- 2:23 Caraxes- 2:37 Meleys- 2:50 Sunfyre-3:03 Seasmoke- 3:17 Dreamfyre- 3:26 Vermax- 3:55 Arrax- 4:07 tyraxes- 4:20 Tesserion- 4:33 Shrykos- 4:50 Morgul- 5:03 Morning-survived Moondancer- 5:28 Rhaegal- 5:40 Viserion- 5:45
Didn't 3 dragons survive the doom
I think the targaryens brought 5 dragons from Valyria but balerion was the only Valyrian born dragon still alive during aegons conquest
So sad other targaryen kings were killed by their illness
Clearly a faceless man killed maegor the cruel
House of the Dragon* not Dragon(s)..... singular not plural
Jon was a Targaryen ..please the last targaryen
3:19 *Summerhall
Was that confirmed to be Dreamfyre that scared a young Aemond sneaking into the dragon pit in the show?
Yes. And Dreamfyre was a queen's dragon before. After the queen death, Helaena (Almond's sister) claimed Dreamfyre. But she never been to battle, because she was a woman, so Dreamfyre never fought. She was be incredible being such a big dragon
Rhaenyra was not technically queen as the war with Aegon was still ongoing and there cant be 2 kings at the same time. Either 2 claimants and no king or 1 king and claimants (Rhaenyra, Blackfyres etc).
You forgot Rhaenyra…
She lost the war of TDOD, so her reign became illegitimate.
Ice and fire wiki has Rhaenyra as Queen, so that should settle it
No Rhaenyra? Fraud list.
She was never Queen/King but the same goes for Dany and Viserys
3:29 It’s Vhagar not Vega and Balerion not Valerion
1:26 Third largest of all the dragons to exist in Westeros was Vhagar. The order was Balerion, Meraxes, Vhagar, before « Vermithor ». And the name is Vermithor not Vermita. Great work though 👍
Viserys "III" and Daenerys on the list??? There were only 17 Targaryen monarch approved by GRRM.
This list is crap 😂😂 only 17 Targaryen Kings like you said
isn't Jon agon the 6th targaryen
12th
If Viserys III & Daenerys is on this list it’s only fair that Rhaenyra is too since she actually sat on the iron throne for half a year & neither of them ever did
Well explained but you skip the Storm Cloud dragon of Aegon III
Meleys is STRONGEST Targaryen dragon. She could kill Vhagar if there wasn't Sunfyre. Vhagar had to crush on Meleys in order to defeat her.
Lmao stronger than balerion? Also it was only said she would have stood a chance against vhagar not that she definitely would have won.
😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
Targaryens are nothing without their dragons. And yet, so heartbreaking they died.
I wouldn’t say they’re nothing. They still ruled for centuries after the Dance. They just weren’t the almighty powers they were.
Good video can’t understand you some parts
They should made the show on the doom then Aegons conquest
Great video.. easy sub
aegon II die in his litter (after presumedly being poisoned, yes) and aegon v died at summerhall
Why is Rhaenyra not here.... She was literally the ruling Queen for 6 months and outright won the Dance of the Dragons before being tricked by Aegon II....
She wasn't tricked she just had a lot of bad luck, first with the greens removing the treasury from kings landing, and then aegon ii taking dragonstone without her learning about it.
You're not a real monarch until your rival is dead
@@equusquaggaquagga536tell that to Joffrey Baratheon/Lannister/Snow/Rivers/Sand/Waters 😂😂
Technically Jon is the king.
Sunfyre is overrated af, meleys wouldve ripped it, if vhagar didn't come to rescue
And Vhagar would've never beat Meleys if Sunfyre not there. IT'S CALL TEAMWORK !!!
You say he’s overrated just because he’s a team green dragon bitch don’t be mad just because he fought and killed multiple dragons and still manage to be alive
wermithor
But John Snow is also Targaryen, his father is Rhaegar Targeryen, is it told somewhere how he died?
yeah pretty in debt in the books
Aegon and viserys was aegons grandchildren if i remember correctly
Aegon the uncrowded and his brother viserys were aegon's grandchildren through his son Aenys.
its not physically possible for morning to have died of old age, morning was born in 130 AC during the dance. Dragons can live 200 years before dying of old age meaning morning would have been 170 years old during the events of game of thrones.
This bothers me about all the dragons who survived the dance. Where did they go? Noone noticed a dragon anywhere? Is 300 years not the norm because they all seem to have died very young. Feels like a plot device that just get drop after their use was done. Vague for mystery sake.
I'm pretty sure dragons can live forever as long as they have space to fly and live. Balerion only became lethargic and slow after his trip to valyria with aerea Targaryen. It was noted that he had huge gashes along his body. It's possible balerion was also incredibly sick, because aerea was basically a host for weird wyrm creatures. Dragons have magical constitutions but that doesn't mean they're immune to disease and sickness. Balerion cooped up in the dragon pit because he was sick from his trip to valyria, which is probably why he died. His body was just too stressed and he died.
@@brodyestes2376 I can't believe you are suggesting that dragons are immortal, most beings eventually die. Look at how old, slow and saggy vhagar got in her old age without sickness. It's pretty obvious the lifespan is around 200, some might die sooner or later just like humans......Balerion might have lived to the upper limit......whereas most dragons die at around 150.
Nice one, appreciate your effort. And had some scene in sketch where in upcoming seasons.
Balerion is not the *only* dragon to survive the Doom of Valyria, i believe it’s stated that the Targs came over with 5, but they had all passed away or gone missing by Aegon I’s reign. There was also another random dragonlord who took an army of 30k and flew back into Valyria after the doom to try and reclaim it.
And didn't he die because of some disese, after Arya took him on the mistery ride?
@@lagadema16 Well it’s a bit strange. Aerea Targaryen did fly him (more accurate to say HE flew HER) presumably to old Valyria. He was heavily wounded (massive gash on his side if I remember right), and she died of fire parasites. But Balerion died 40 years after that happened. He was said to be lethargic in his final years, but we have no idea if that is because he got evil Valyria worms or diseases inside him, or an animal that’s possibly well over 200 years old and of an impossible size succumbing to nature.
And you can say too that the people in lys have dragon blood in them bc after the doom of Valyria some dargonlords went to lys and the people of lys accepted them but killed their dragons.
Could it be possible that the dragon at 5:14 is still alive?
Fire & Blood is Just an Archmaester 'rewriting hearsay' House of the Dragon TV show is showing us what 'actually happened in Westerosi History' So I have a feeling there's more to Rhaenyra's Death since there's been 'more to' everything
Wormax???????
Was Daenerys the only Targaryn that was impervious to fire ?
In the books she isn't impervious except during the witch burning, because of magic. But to answer your question shortly yes. Her great grandfather and one of his sons even burned alive in the fire of summerhall. So did laena velaryon whom was half targaryen and full valyrian.
Isn't Jon Snow a Targaryen too? I seem to remember Bran saying he was the true king
He isn’t a Targaryen in the book Canon.
I feel like if Viserys III made this list then Rhaenyra definitely qualifies.
Yeah and dany whom ruled kings landing for less than a day yet she's a queen and rhae isn't?
Rhaenyra was never a queen tho
@@mandisi She sat the iron throne and ruled for months. Also, she was an actual named heir where as Viserys probably wasn't.
Sunfyre despite his injuries still managed to kill 3 dragons being such a young dragon is a lot to say
Yeah super impressive dragon to take down grey ghost and moondancer
Sunfyre is a strongest dragon in all, imagine he is as big like balerion
@@MW_Gaming0852 Sun-sized Fyre
The reality is he would have died vs melys in a 1v1 and only survived because of vhagar and aemond.
Cat dragons, small and unexperienced.
Wouldn’t viserion technically have been killed by Arya since she killed the night king?
No 😂😂😂😂
Lol 😂
Dang wasn’t the first queen rhaenyra was
No . Cersei is the only Queen in the ASOIAF universe
rhaenyra????? PUT HER
How did aegon the conqueror die telling his grandsons aegon and viserys stories if they weren’t born till years later ?
Those are aegon and viserys jahaerys older brothers
Aegon the uncrowned and his younger brother viserys, the elder brothers of jahaerys whom were both killed by maegor the cruel.
Glad that aegon I and balerion both died of natural causes
You Forgot Rhaenyra but we all know how she died.
