- We test out the Double Mega Ball rounds in this video. Imagine the recoil of 2.25oz. of lead! Will the balls behave like a Newton's cradle where one ball travels faster than the other? Will the spread be too wide and miss everything? What would the velocity be? Let's find out.

The one thing l have come to realise over the years of watching you test shotgun rounds is that I don't really need different guns, pistol or rifle, when a shotgun can be so versatile in the rounds that can be fired.

Well obviously, this is a ww2 vintage. Of course y'all weren't using them 39 years ago, as this was most likely a bring back from a veteran. The Germans disposed of most of them after the war, so this was quite an expensive and rare target.

Not sure if i'll get an answer given this is a 6 month old video, (back watching, my inner engineer is loving seeing the kind of stuff people come up with to put through shotguns), but as someone from the UK who is never likely to go near a shotgun i'm curious how the recoil compare to big rifles, is this just opuchie by shotgun standards or is it even giving 50 BMG or other ultra high power rifle rounds a run for its money?

I've fired a few of these and found that 1 ball follows the other for quite a ways. Would have been great to see what they would have done at a greater distance. Thanks for the great videos guys!😊

@Danny Walker I'd only recommend using bird shot against home invaders if the home invaders were birds.
@Danny Walker Unless you are within a few feet bird shot may not be effective enough, #4 buck is much more effective and still has relatively poor wall penetration, it will also group tighter which is not only more effective but has less chance of stray pellets that miss your intended target.

The War Wolf two-ball round would be ideal for hog hunting at closer ranges. I've seen some sort of two-ball shotgun round at Academy a couple years ago that was supposed to be a hog hunting round, and I can see now why it would work pretty well.

I hand loaded some double .69 lead balls using similar wads with 23 grains of Longshot. I was somewhat hesitant to shoot them due to having no load data to go by. Do you know the powder type and weight that were used in the Warwolf shells? The results I had appeared to be similar to the results you guys had. They were accurate and produced a lot of recoil. I hope you guys are able to continue producing videos buy support on Patreon. I will be adding my support on Patreon today. I love what you guys do, Taofledrmaus has the best channel by far for testing shotgun rounds!

For fun, I used to load black powder 45-70 with two .457 pure lead round ball.
I've forgotten the exact amount of powder but it was enough that when I was loading, I would use a card over powder then a lubed felt wad, lead ball, then another felt wad and ball.
There was enough of the last ball to put a good tapered crimp on it.
I was using a pedersoli Sharp's carbine, and at 65 yards, they were grouping into 4".
Then I realized that they would cycle through my Marlin 1895 LTD V, and the grouping was about the same.
Talk about fire power. Wow
7+1 two .457 round balls each.
I didn't own a chronograph at the time, but it did hit close to the point of aim with authority.

Officer Greg, I like your humor. It's not very long, but it sure is short. I have an idea for you guys to try. When out duck hunting, and the birds are sitting way out on a lake out of range, I'd take a bird shot shell, and cut it right where the wad is in the shell, leave 2 small pieces of plastic on each side, and fire it at the ducks. The whole casing flies down range with all the pellets still inside the plastic casing. I would imagine it creates a lot of pressure, but it sure does go a long ways. Try this on some ballistic gel.

We've seen him shoot in multiple videos now.
He’s a control freak and wants his videos to be as good as possible for us. I’m sure he’d love to shoot more but training someone to film him is time consuming and can result in a lot of lost footage. Also, people shooting get to shoot free for them ammo and be the star of the video, (something many people would do for free) but many of us would want compensation for filming and not shooting.
It's a lot easier to find people who can shoot guns than shoot with several cameras at once. I tried having people film me shoot before and it was a mess.
