      900 to 1200 psi is the detailing standard. this can be achieved with 3.0 or 3.5 tips. using these on any budget washer should get you the best output regardless of which unit you use. I use either one they are great. I do however also use a gas washer sometimes and I use a 6.0 tip to drop the pressure from over 2300psi down to 1500 and increase flow to 2.8 gpm. it's night and day going from a electric washer to a gas one. cleaning and rinsing in 2 3 minutes. only way in going v back to electric is when I use my Northstar electric 20 amp unit that is servicable and gets 2.4 gpm at 1300 psi but at 1300$ I only use that one in a while. it's easy better than a Kranzle as you can adjust pressure to 2600 psi at 1.3 gpm

      Exactly that. The motor/pump is rated for 100 hours of use. After that, they can die. Some people, that will get you a year, (typical for pro detailers) some people a multiple years (DIY detailer or yard maintenance). Depends how much you use it. Be sure you store it properly when it is not in use and you can get the most longevity out of it such as draining your hose completely after it is turned off and (especially if you live up north) putting a little "pressure washer saver" through it to winterize it during the winter storage months. Hope that helps!

      I was also in the market for a pressure washer for my garage upgrade as well. I saw OG's review on it and it almost changed my mind but I still went with the giraffe plus model. The guy uses two Kranzle units in line - I won't be taking advice about budget unit from him. Nothing else on the market offers the same value at that price point not even the active. I'm satisfied with mine so far. It is not a power horse but it is ok for the use around the house. I do have a gas powered one I picked up from market place for about 50 bucks that I can bring out if I need more heavy duty.

You'd be better off buying a Active 2.0 with accessories (hose reel, uberflex, wand) for longevity and performance. Unless you want something that is more "aesthetically pleasing" I don't really see the value in this thing.

      If you don't care about warranty or are outside of it, it opens up easy. It's just a plastic housing around the outside of a normal pressure washer, nothing proprietary so you can just order what you need and then seal it back up.

      @@SomeoneStoleMyHandlehow would you determine the correct motor to replace it with?

    • @SomeoneStoleMyHandle
      @SomeoneStoleMyHandle Год назад +1

      @@mickeymallette2663 If you would just like to replace what's already there, just look at the case of the motor and search for the part number that's printed on there. If that motor is unavailable or you otherwise want to go with a different motor you will need to measure for output shaft length and diameter; length, width, and height clearance for the motor case; be in the ballpark of the original RPM with the new motor and ideally match the OEM mounting solution, but that isn't all that important if you are capable of fabricating an adapter.

      @@SomeoneStoleMyHandlethat got real, real quick, lmao, I think I'll go for kranzel for repairability since they're made for it, lol, other than that, I plan on going ryobi for a season, active 2.0 for a season, then kranzel indefinitely with the Active as a backup

      One thing to note is this is in reality a good bit cheaper than the Active 2.0. Active 2.0 is certainly a better PW but the Active you are pretty much paying MSRP and that's that. This Grandfalls unit seems to go on sale and/or be available well under MSRP, so in reality you're paying over $100 less and don't have to buy a hose reel, etc.
      I think if you're using it professionally/commercially then absolutely the Active is a much better buy and the extra money is peanuts in that case--will be made back very quickly. But, for the average homeowner/DIYer use, the Grandfalls offers a lot of value and convenience with the wall-mountability.

    The low key shilling is becoming amusing at this point. It's been fun watching your channel grow and I'll keep watching most of the videos, but some of them are turning into 10 minute ads for the latest and greatest "budget" detailing options....

      I don’t mean for it to come off like an ad. It’s just a review showing the usable performance of these types of machines so people know what to expect. Especially since the ratings are always way off from what the actually produce. I have always focused on budget options for people and how they can get the most performance on a budget. I never take money from brands to promote their products in the pressure washing/detailing space. Just trying to share items I find that people may enjoy!

    This guy needs to learn to respect high pressure. A pin hole from that gauge would be no fun. A high pressure pump is no toy that you play around with. I have seen some nasty stuff, be careful.

      It literally just hangs on like a picture frame to the bracket and it isn't heavy. If you need to move it around, I don't see why you can't. You can even get additional brackets to but in your favourite spots.
