    Your comments on this rig were really good. It's funny how the most expensive rig can be outclassed by cheaper and more modest rigs.

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  Год назад +1

      What especially bothers me is the audacity of a company to even sell a seat like this for a price like that... but well...that's business i guess 🙄

      @@SimulatedDrivingResource either sim racing software, cockpits or wheelbases there are lots of overpriced products made to profit off the hype.
      I do like the Playseat trophy and I enjoyed your review of it. The pros and cons were clear and I knew what I was getting into when I got it, but I also got it on a sale for 500 instead of 600.
      I tried to make the math, I would need at least 400+ for an aluminium profile, 150 or 200 for a proper bucket seat, also some casters or metal support adapters to put the rig into the aluminium frame. and it would be big and heavy.
      I live in a small crowded place so having a smaller lighter but sturdy cockpit that includes a chair was a very good option for me.
      I still think that at 500 it's not cheap by any means considering we get a "actifit" seat but TBH having a bucket seat would be too much for me atm.
      I saw also the Oplite and it looked really good and I kinda wanted it but the metalplace that holds the base into the arms didn't seem to have such a strong connection as this one.

      The playseat Trophy is a very good choice. It is apart from the Challenge the best product bang/buck that they have to offer. 500€ for it is a much more 'reasonable' price. They seem to be more affordable now and it will go up a bit in the "best seat" video that is upcoming. Your math is spot on for the alu rig. For around 600 you have a decent barebone rig (with seat)... i think given your available space for sim-driving, you made a very good choice!

      @@SimulatedDrivingResource Well, not really... But from what I hear from several friends, they actually have very sturdy rigs for quite a decent price. I say 'quite', but that was actually the brand I was gonna go with, when I started my sim racing journey. Now I'm in an alu-extrusion rig

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  5 месяцев назад

      If it costs 100$ is unclear but what is clear to me is that they are misleading the customers with this rig. Its common I guess for companies to do this but the audacity to ask that sum for this hardware with these specs is mind-blowing. I am glad you reconsidered on the purchase.

    Hey man! Ive been watching many video’s of you and i like your honesty! I now own the playseat F1 and played only real F1 games up until a few months ago. I started GT7 and ACC and liking the feel of gt3 cars etc. I have an issue with the F1 seat however, it gives me a lot of backpain. Even after almost 2 years… and the 3 paddle formation doesnt feel right on this seat. Do you think its a good option to sell this one for around €700+ and buy the Playseat Trophy for €500. And use the €200 for a nice round fanatec steering wheel? I already have fanatec pedals and loadcell. It might be a downgrade in case of the seat itself but maybe its an upgrade for my needs? Idk. Can u let me know what you think of my position for seats rn. Thanks!

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource

      Take whatever money you can get from it and buy whatever tubular frame (if that carries your preference) you want from the countdown video (ruclips.net/video/gR4WOG4WUmU/видео.html) and live a long, happy and backpain-free life. You will certainly not have the feeling you downgraded your chair friend

      @@SimulatedDrivingResource thanks for the quick reply! I saw your ranking vids and they gave me a good perspective. But i was afraid that switching from a F1 to a Trophy was a “downgrade” but if the trophy is a lot more confortable and more compatible with different accessories such as a shifter etc then its all in all a upgrade in my books!

    • @SimulatedDrivingResource
      @SimulatedDrivingResource  Год назад

      @@leavii5449 the difference with the Trophy is that you can adapt the cloth of the back, meaning you can make it firmer or that it hangs a bit more. Its just much more configurable. Backpains also dont necessarily come from a bad position of the back, it can also be caused by the position of your feet on the pedals.

    F1 drivers don't choose to drive in that position and I'm sure if they were given an option with their driving position they would take it. Sim racers choose to be in that position and pay a hefty price for the privilege, as shown here. It think this rig is so much rubbish compared to just about anything on the market and most definitely when compared to rigs in the same price range. Good honest review!

    Oh come on... no one except the people with too much money to burn will buy this. Not even that stable, livery stickers, pole in the middle... If you want to get the solution from Playseat and only Playseat, just pay more and get the Formula Evolution or the Formula Pro or whatever it's called. The frame looks WAY sturdier and it looks more 'flex-free'. The F-GT and even the F-GT Elite which is about the same price will totally trash this rig in terms of value, stability and adjustability. If you buy this rig it's solely for the style. If not even the F-GT is better for a small fraction of the price.
