@@soyaliovee yeah, I did. I blocked him as soon as he ended our 169 day snap streak lmao. But at school though, the guy keeps staring at me with that smug face that i want to punch. It's like he didnt want to ghost me and wishes he could talk to me again, like that will ever happen. I liked the same girl for YEARS but finally realized she wasn't somebody I wanted to have that kind of relationship with. I've had a few other minor crushes before and since, but recently I haven't had a single girl that I've tried to pursue, if that makes since. It's a really weird feeling that I thought would feel so great and free, but I couldn't have been more wrong. It's complicated, and hard to explain, it's just a lot of confused feelings going from trying to get the same girl's attention for almost 9 years to, well, not. I'm hoping it will pass over soon and I've been trying to wait patiently for someone I do want to have a relationship with.

I've had a similar situation. No idea if this is the ideal solution, but I had to confess about my feelings for her (there was literally no other option, the effects of crushing on her started to mess with my everyday life). Confessing did help get over it, but consider carefully if you decide to try it

The thing about this video is that a lot of these feelings are related to infatuation and as soon as that wears off it’s one of if not the most common reason for break ups, if infatuation is the only reason the both of you got into this romantic relationship it probably won’t last. For love you need common goals, common interests and chemistry together to make it work, you also need integrity, honesty, kindness, compassion, patience and whole bunch of effort with the willingness to be responsible. Infatuation can help push a relationship to start but if there’s no ground you can’t build a relationship on it, if you ever got a crush and gotten over them, then realised they really wouldn’t have worked, that is pretty much infatuation. It doesn’t last forever.
But hey! this is coming from a young guy that has never been in a romantic relationship before, I am not a professional relationship therapist but I would look into the whole “love” at first sight thing, because I wouldn’t want the mutually shared destruction of two people that thought they were in love, when in reality they only thought it was love because they didn’t have information of psychology and the behaviour of people just because the entire world is in love with the idea of love that isn’t love, just the feelings of getting a new toy then getting sick of it and throwing it away because infatuation can do that. Also if someone does realise that a breakup would be best please don’t hate them for not understanding and explain in great detail why, don’t leave them in the dark because confrontation is needed because both people deserve to be happy in life and I would hate people to hate other people because of an illogical reason or misunderstanding.

DUDE THIS. One point I'd like to agree and disagree on is that infatuation doesn't last forever. Yes I agree I don't believe it lasts forever, but I also believe it can last a long time and isn't always easy to get over. I've had a crush on someone since high school, I confessed to them back in HS and nothing ever happened coz they were already in a relationship, the two just didn't want to go public just yet. Years later they were still on my mind. Despite believing that the relationship probably wouldn't have worked out anyway and being happy for them in the relationships they went through during those years. At some point I reached out to them again unaware they were currently single, they seemed to be flirting with me and so I took the chance and we went on a date. While we both seemed to enjoy the date, we didn't click very well it seemed. It's been months and I still haven't really gotten over them. That's a total of 6-7 years I've been infatuated with this person. I'm not saying I won't eventually possibly get over them (hopefully sooner than later) but I'm saying I think that's part of why some people have a hard time starting up relationships that aren't only based on infatuation. The feeling can be so strong that you don't fully consider that despite your mind being filled with them and your heart longing for them, your wants and needs or interests may not align. I recognized it earlier on that it probably wouldn't work and thought that for years and still gave it a chance. And I've now got my evidence that a relationship wouldn't/didn't work. Yet I still have these feelings. I think that's part of why I watched this video, to see if it would help me see if maybe I just love the idea of that person to help me better move on. Sorry I typed a lot also I did very much contemplate and then decide to write dude at the beginning of this just to match the other responses 😆

Fair enough, like most things in life, it depends from person to person with how intense you feel and how long the feeling last, no reason to deny that, I just wanted people to understand to rationalise what they’re feeling internally and introspect about them with as many perspectives in mind as possible, but that’s just worked for me, and I also wanted people to make sure to moderate their feelings in a healthy way with my perspective on the matter. Like most things in life, it’s a spectrum and everyone falls onto different positions into those spectrums based on the randomness of life, so the only person that could really figure them out is themselves.
I usually don’t like to keep my crushes for an extended periods of time because of the pressure that they might feel from being idolised which the feeling of crushing on someone tends to do, which was a problem for me because as a person that’s in my own head most of the time as well as feeling things intensely but silently, but my feelings only tend to only come about if truly genuine and well thought about enough so I would make sure to keep infatuation in check to make sure I don’t waste energy because I would go all in on a relationship, so it can only be with a person I would really think would work with me and I would work with them, otherwise I would be spent. Of course there’s more but I don’t think a comment reply section is enough for that. That’s why I told people to look into that themselves and maybe also take a look at themselves because stopping and slowing down to see things is helpful.

I say this a lot, but haven't had a serious crush in a long time. I think it has a lot to do with me giving up on finding a partner. I am tired of getting repeatedly let down, outright neglected, and ghosted. My last crush openly gave me her number, said we could hang out together, but then publicly ghosted me. She ignored me but would happily approach and talk to the taller guys who played high school sports. I know EVERYONE in my class noticed this, but none told me "you'll find someone else." That girl painted me out as some beta simp. Out of all of the many rejections, that one hurt me the most. I haven't seen myself as attractive, since... and at first I thought I was really attractive.
I try to focus on building up my other good qualities. I know I'll never be handsome (I'll get even uglier as I age), so I'll be good in other areas. It obviously won't help me find a partner, but it'll make me feel better.

I remember there was this person I thought I had strong feelings for, because I always wanted to talk to them, see them whenever I can, try to be extra-kind to get their attention.
Overall, I realized it is pure vanity. We had nothing in common, we didn't know what to say to each other that wasn't flirty. He wasn't a bad person -just that we were only attracted to each other just on appearances.

The feeling of forcing yourself to stop emotional, romantic, or just any feelings for anybody because the few previous times you did, you just got abandoned and embarrassed. My last crush led me on and started acting inappropriately to me even when they had no absolute feelings for me, lied to me that they liked me back, shared my texts to them to other people, and in the end, liked my bestfriend. Honestly just developed a really bad look on love after my previous crush manipulated me into giving me hope that we would be together but she just used me to keep her relationship together and afterwards she dumped me. Never lower your standards for anyone! It's a slippery slope and you'll find yourself lowering and lowering until you hit rock bottom. Besides, narcissists prey on people with low self-esteem and use them because they are willing to lower their standards.
As much as it bothers you now, when you find the right person, they’ll do everything more genuine and better than the last person, it’ll be extremely satisfying. I have had bad (and a manipulative) crush and nothing more than seeing another guy be genuine and kind with me to regain faith in people. Never lower your standards, just patiently wait.
Hey man, you're not alone. This is almost exactly what happened to me. My last crush lead me on. She said we could hang out together (just the two of us), she gave me her number, then started openly ignoring and neglecting me. My classmates even noticed that drastic change, and someone called her out for it but she NEVER apologized. I felt so bad. I could've been talking to some other girls had it not been for that. After I got a job, I've had another girl give me her number then ghost me... I finally said I had enough, and stopped looking for love. I still feel bad about it all, because even the women who asked me out ended up leaving me because I was literally nothing compared to every other guy around me. I remember one girl was flirting with me until another guy came along and she INSTANTLY changed targets. I was just... done. I still am.

Theres this girl in my class that im pretty sure she likes me ( once in pe class i was sitting in the corner as i was having an asthma attack and wanted to cool down, i cought her staring at me. she didnt notice, so i looked away and shortly after i looked back at her and she imideatly looked away as she realised i saw her looking at me). This video was nice but also reminded me about a boy who my friends used to ship me with. I didn't like them at the time and I still don't, just saw them as a friend. But there was a time where I started getting a bit confused about my feelings for him and whether or not I liked him. I knew the answer but I still doubted myself. This video was really helpful in solidifying my feelings for him.
Also if anyone is curious as to why I started getting confused it was because of all the shipping and teasing my friends did. It was also because of some of the conversation I had with my family members when we were talking about crushes and stuff.

Well, there was a guy who recently confessed to me that he has feelings for me and asked me out on a date, but we didn't really know each other, and I didn't really have feelings for him, but I still decided to give him a chance and get to know him. We did go on a date yesterday, and I have to say that we have common characteristics and we can agree on many things ,but I don't think that I have like romantic feelings for him. Nevertheless, I will give him a few chances and sometimes time can make lots of changes, and who knows? I may start to have feelings for him, too

This explains why I feel like my heart has sunken into my stomach when around my best friend. Whenever I'm with him I start to get sweaty and my face starts to feel all red and blushy and then my hearts feels like it's sunken in my stomach. Plus whenever I'm at a big event or just a small gathering with family I always think of him being there with me. Then everytime he texts back, even just a simple "good night" texts makes me feel excited and I wanna tell him everything. When he speaks to me I get butterflies in my stomach and I don't even know why but i just do. It's a great feeling, but also confusing.

There was this girl I really liked. She confessed to me first and we then started dating. Our relationship got kinda toxic and made it difficult for both of us so we broke it off but still talk to each other... to be honest I watched this video to see if I still had feelings for her and I and actually happy that I didn’t. There's a woman I work with who I'm at least 95% sure likes me (and has for some time now). It's the subtle things stretched out over the course of a year or two. Her switching to a working spot with a better and more constant line of site, I've caught her friends looking over and laughing at me a few times especially after asking them about her odd behavior towards me, she's often moving through my area or otherwise in close proximity, I've caught her sneaking peaks a few times, and copying some of the things I do, specifically mouth positions when I'm bored or stressed and stuff like that, recently she has been asking me for help with things more frequently, on a few rare occasions she has come up to me asking silly questions about things or asking questions to learn more about me, she has offered me food twice while on break, and when I went to take the food on one occasion she was all over my hand with both of hers for an unnecessarily long amount of time (it was difficult not to smile), she will also avert her gaze as much as possible, I mean to the point where it's noticeable (and I used to think she was doing this because she was afraid of me or something), she often seems uncomfortable when I'm around unless I start talking to her then she will let the biggest smile slip for a minute before reining things in, she often dresses up in nice clothing, and recently she has been standing closer to me when I'm around, in one case I could have sworn I was feeling her body heat she was so close, I work in a warehouse with short sleeves on year round, and it's often cool or cold in there, though maybe that was my mind playing tricks on me. There's other stuff too, but this is pretty long already.
I do find her strangely attractive, and I've gotten a sense of excitement when she's around before, so I'm pretty sure I like her back. I'm not sure if I should continue to drag things out though, or if I should just tell her that I know how she feels. She seems pretty shy, but then I am as well.

For me, I don’t find them especially physically attractive. Don’t get me wrong they look nice, but I think everyone looks nice. I am attracted to her brain, we have such nice conversations. I feel about her differently than I have ever felt about anyone else, and it makes me nervous. There's something called emotional attachment which gets you confused. You may show these signs but deep inside you might know it's just all a void or you're lonely, happens especially to young teenagers, they might even feel like it's fun to have a crush. You might not even have feelings of romance deep inside your heart. Therefore you might not actually like them and it's just an attachment. You should ask yourself would it be a lie if someone asks 'do you like them in a romantic way' and you say 'yes I do.'
Then you also have something called an obsession or infatuation.

One day i was waiting for my friend to get their food and another friend came up to me and we started talking for a bit. After they left, my other friend came back with their food and asked me if I like that person. Of course i said no and theta they are my friend, but after that i have been feeling something different when i see them and always ask myself if I like them. I also started seeing them in my dreams but even there I'm questioning mine and their feelings. I'm afraid that if i tell them that i like them and they say that they like me back, i might lose these feelings and i will get stuck in a relationship that's one sided and I'm afraid I will hurt their feelings.
