    After all the years float fishing there's still something mesmerising when the float starts to Bob and drift away.

    Danny - great video as always and full of information. Float fishing for Pike is, in my opinion, far more sensitive than a straight ledger. Caught my first pike of the season yesterday (3 - nothing big, to just over 9lb) on a twitched Sprat - but used an inline small Zeppler float for indication. Couple of the takes were when the sprat was moved and would be difficult to pick up - but the float showed the take by laying flat (when the Sprat sank, it semi cocked the float) before moving off.
    Seen a few comments below where people are looking to try for Pike - I know you've done it before, but maybe within your rig / trace making video, you can include or point people in the direction of unhooking them. Seen far too many people 'jump' the moment a pike moves!
    I did ask in your last video re deadbaits and using them frozen from the start - I prefer them fully defrosted - what's your take on this?

    • @DannysAnglingBlog
      @DannysAnglingBlog  Год назад

      Sorry matey missed commebt, I use frozen mate every time, easier cast as baitndpenst split and never had issue. I die last year do the unhooking bit your right I've forgot this year will pack go.pro

    Hi Danny, love the videos mate. Just started getting into pike fishing but not had a good start. Yesterday i was getting bites all day but nothing was fully taking it. Can you do a video on how to tie these rigs together?

    • @DannysAnglingBlog
      @DannysAnglingBlog  Год назад

      Hi tom the rig comes together as this
      float stop on line
      thread on 2 beads
      thread on float
      thread on weight
      tie on quick change swivel using palomar knot
      clip on trace
      away you go matey.
      you need to use as light a weight as get away with mate pike feels weight or change in weight will drop it

    Another top blog as usual Danny. Can I ask your honest opinion about the korum opportunity x and xtnd range ? I’m looking to buy a 10 or 12 ft xtnd rod and maybe the 8ft opportunity xQuiver rod but I’m torn between that and the all rounder 10 ft 1.1lb quiver maybe you honest opinion could help make my mind up👍

    • @DannysAnglingBlog
      @DannysAnglingBlog  Год назад +1

      Hi paul, i can only give opinion on ones i have used of course, i have used the XTND 10ft rods and all i can say is along with the Foldall i have never looked back for my carping i think last time u ised my 13ft rods was france. Had carp over 20 on them and if look back over channel you can see them in action on most carp vlogs. The quiver i used recently for bream having nets over 70lb on them. Again these vids show it in action matey,

    • @paulisherwood8465
      @paulisherwood8465 Год назад

      They do look appealing I thing I’ll be getting the 10 ft 2.25 lb they will be ideal for both the river and my local syndicate water too still undecided on the quiver rod though I think opportunist x 8ft is aimed more for carp but the 10 ft all rounder quiver will cover more species on on the syndicate and the rivers
