If you add oils to your deadbaits the Pike will smell it a mile off and come & get it ! It worked for me in Loch Lomond ....soak your deadbaits overnight in different oils ...I know it's messy but it works ! Using just one treble will induce more takes and obviously is easier to unhook your Esox Lucius !
I have been looking at the fox predator warrior deadbait rods and was wondering if they would work fine as carp rods? They are mostly equal in length and test curve so what are the big differences between a carp rod and deadbait rod?
I have some fox warrior carp rods and use them for dead bait fishing for pike also. As long as you go for a test curve no less than 2 1/2 lb you’ll be fine
The Balsa Sticks are odd. Bought them last week, tried to pop up a roach and it sank like the titanic. Got the large ones too. I can't seem to get them to pop up. I was only using smelt and roach too.
Can you use these rods for carp fishing as well? I do think so, nothing much difference between a 12 ft 3 lb carp rod or a 12ft 3lb deadbait rod right?
I'm going to use this setup but i got alarms with wheels. How will i make it so the alarms go off when the pike runs out with the braid when i will be having slack line pouring out when my bail arm is open?
You fish with with a drop off as in the video tighten up the line then open the bail arm keeping the line tight then clip on the drop off tighten up so the clip is tight to the spool on the reel and then turn your front alarm on job done
Bringing all that weed in reminds me of one of my biggest hauls carp fishing at Clapham common. I had hooked something after a run, a huge dead weight to drag in and I cant understand how it didn't bust my rod let alone my line, it turned out to be a sheepskin coat ffs.
i got myself the 50lb braid and 40lb wire, it snaps at the braid, resulting in loosing the whole setup. doesn't even hold to straighten out a single hook that gets stuck in a fallen tree.
@@FoxRageTV I'm using the palomar knot with the braid. i also use shock beads covering the knot in order for protecting the knot. i always wet the knot prior to pulling in order to skip friction. i believe i've lost like 5-6 whole rigs with ledger stems and weight during this spring. Always breaks at the braid.
no chance they have taken all pike out of ched res there would only be 2 ways of doing this and they are draining all the water out which they arnt going to do and netting the whole reservoir which they just wouldn’t be able to do because of the amount of weed in there. just full of jacks from what ive heard anyway
Does this guy even feel these pikes or enjoy it?? i use 22gr -28gr rods an 3000 series reel with 0,30 nylon and its enough for every pike if you give it some time, he is dragging it like a tugboat...
Constructive Cuntery it’s the powerful gear you need especially on weedy and shaggy venues you need the backbone and obviously when using heavy braid and big leads you need that gear to cast out and then there’s the distance side of it you can’t cast a 3-6oz bait and a 3-4oz lead on soft gear
I used 2 3/4lb rods before great fun and more then enough for pike but I upgraded to 3 1/4lb now for getting more casting distance as I fish venues that I need to cast out really far to reach deeper water
Why waste tastey lamprey and bluey when you could just eat it yourself? In mother russia we catch pike with bread on surface, much cheaper and tastey for pike too
Great video, very informative, but please Fox, ditch the cheesy music, it's sooo annoying and adds nothing to the content in my humble opinion. ATB MMMD
@@Mr-Extraterrestrial wow are you serious? If i return big pike my father will beat me with handle from broom stick and tell me that im not really his son
@@@muybueno6576 1 the owners of the water own the fish in it in England, you are not allowed to kill and take fish unless the rules say you can as far as I know. 2 UK anglers respect the fish and the waters they catch them in so they are there for future generations to catch. 3, keep killing and eating fish and you won't catch any in years to come-this has happened in my area of France. 4 another reason we don't eat pike etc is because they taste like crap and we don't have to eat them
Excellent video.. In a world full of carp videos it's nice to get something different.
Ye fuck carp fishing it’s boring
Great tips 👌🏼 there's something prehistoric about pike such a beautiful species.

Yea you certainly would be able.
Good stuff👍
super informative cheers bud......
Top video man
Nice film...greeting from Croatia !! ;)
Top tips👍
Have you tried circle hooks instead of trebles?
theres a double hook thats good for pike apparently
@Firsthgyhgyhuy Lastujhujhuj all i have saw in this comment section is you complaining honestly just fuck off
good watch
Any substitutes for bite alarms and floats?
Lovely video 👍

Which rods and reels are that???
This is stalker pod or eos pod ?
I'm amazed at how you coped, in my way I wouldn't even set up as to me you can't fish weed never have never will as its impossible xx

I fished there today for three hours all I got was a fat branch
The thumbnail made me think you were fishing off the roof of a house
Hello does Braid wear grooves in your rod rings
No, nowadays the rings are coated and braid doesn’t even mark them. 👍🏼👍🏼
Hallo Ben, congtats for this video, i have a question, at min 35 wath is the name of chum you are using with some piece of mackarel ? thanks
Great Video
Where are you fishing
Great video for This season! 🎣
Is this bewl water ?
wat size of hook are this? and wat size of hook cover??
Great tips.although the sound off that reel..
Sounds terrible”😂👌
"made simple" -literally has an entire cart of gear 😂 Nah but great video
Where do u get the rigging wire for th3 poly balls
i got myself the 50lb braid and 40lb wire, it snaps at the braid, resulting in loosing the whole setup. doesn't even hold to straighten out a single hook that gets stuck in a fallen tree.
What knot are you using for this?

@@andreastrulsson8862 shit braid, 59lb Diawa braid always bends hooks out even with 25lb trace
Want to start pike fishing this winter what do I need ? Lure type tho
you need a good stwong bwaid
Look at savage gear rattle trout. It's my best
Spot the bait boat
didn't explain the mono up to the trace?
No fight in cheddar pike, a five pound river pike fights better than a twenty in that place
Cheddar Res?
Nope, BW took all the pike out of Cheddar and put then in Chew.
That is what I thought too, Cheddar Reservoir. Walked all around it last April.
100% cheddar res

Nice
Still waiting for fox to send my predator Elite back cheers
Mate you know who you are
Its mad these days everyone out on ultra light gear catching these fighting for 30 hour before adding it 😅
Sorry meant Craig
That real really needs greasing mate
maybe its one of those weights!!
Ben pls send me a reel mine has died recently.
did you eat it sir
Does this guy even feel these pikes or enjoy it?? i use 22gr -28gr rods an 3000 series reel with 0,30 nylon and its enough for every pike if you give it some time, he is dragging it like a tugboat...
Made easy -,-
micro pike otherwise know as a jack pike :)
Must be 150 yards with them reel turns never showed you him cast !
He used a bait boat which you can see in the background all the time... You will lose your bait if you attempt to throw that far.
Thats really heavy gear why use that and not lighter gear? Like 2 3/4lb? Is there a reason or is it just prefferance?
Constructive Cuntery it’s the powerful gear you need especially on weedy and shaggy venues you need the backbone and obviously when using heavy braid and big leads you need that gear to cast out and then there’s the distance side of it you can’t cast a 3-6oz bait and a 3-4oz lead on soft gear

Ha ha fair enough. Tight Lines and thanks for making some great fishing gear.@@FoxRageTV

muybueno cause its respect for Mother Nature
