    Hi graham just watched all the clips on fairing removal not had mine all off yet but today fitted a r&g rad cover so had the front piece above the exhaust removed the 4 allen screw bolts then the 2 bottom pin rivets out you leave the section in then slide the rad cover back in re build back up took me about 20 mins to do . Like you say fairing held on with clips they seam quite well made the other week had the right hand panal off below the seat thats the same 2. Rad cover is well made it was a xmas gift from my daughter worth getting one will get some crash bungs at a later date there some you can get with out drilling the fairing good vid clip graham on how to remove fairing thanks Andy.

      Thanks for the rad cover info. Yea I probably would look for crash bungs that didn't need the fairing drilling if I was fitting them, although as I've said, I like the look of them.

    Graham, I just received a recall notice on my 2010 VFR that there is a problem with the fuel pump and they will replace it free. With my bike now 15 years old I am really afraid to take it to the dealer and let some young mechanic that has never removed the fairings, break the plastic retainers on my bike. The fairings have never been off. I am thinking I will see if I can pull the tank myself and hand it to them to replace the fuel pump. The likelyhood of the pump being a bad one is good as it was the 325th one produced and the bike has just 9,600 miles on it (I have 4 Hondas to ride and this is my biggest one) I have a factory manual, but seeing you pull the fairings is better! Thanks Al in the USA 77 years old

      @@allanweseman5433 Hi Al, yes I've just done a video on recall, see link if you missed it. I have the same concern about letting someone else remove my fairing panels, so I would probably take them off myself and ride it down naked, although my dealer is only 5 mile away. Dosnt Look like any UK bikes are affected though 🤔. I see your concern being an early one, albeit low miles . Good luck.ruclips.net/video/tnlKtNV2W8A/видео.htmlsi=Wq4pXF80ybYXSWvj

      @@Grahamvfr Thank you Graham for your quick reply. It was an exceptionally mean, cold winter day here in west-central Florida USA, so I drove my car to my Honda dealer 39 miles away in Homosassa Florida to ask if I could bring just the gas tank in. No, they have to have the whole bike and it is not a done deal that every bike would get a new fuel pump; they have to look at the numbers on the pump, so I will have to trailer in in, drop it off and leave it. I may just remove the fairings as you suggested. Thanks again

    Hi Graham, I got a loose part on mine, and I am missing the clip. In 6:34 you unclip the tank cover lower part, what kind of clip does it have there? is it a 90666SDAA01?? Thanks in advance

    • @Grahamvfr
      @Grahamvfr  2 года назад

      I'm sorry I don't know that number... Mines loose on rh side as the boss (probably wrong word) won't quite reach the fixed housing.
      I'll come back to you with a better explanation.

    • @Grahamvfr
      @Grahamvfr  2 года назад

      Yea I typed that into Google it looks the same, and fits into a letterbox type housing. For some reason on my rh side it just won't quite reach to get enough purchase, perhaps mines rounded off.

    I have an issue with my inner cowling, so I watched your video. When you take out the plastic stopper at the top of the inner fairing it should be SCREW, SPECIAL, 5X11 (90114MGE000) attached on the inside by NUT, CLIP, 5MM(90312MT3000). It appear that it is common to use the quick method of the plastic clips CLIP, PANEL FIXING *NH1*(91549MW0790ZA). Thanks to your video I can see how easy and careful I have to be so I will be ordering the Special Screws and 5mm Nut clips to properly secure my fairing.
