Thanks for the insights from this wonderful image Joel. It is fun to see your passion for the arts.
Thank you for sharing this! I admire your work/art and your teaching very much.
Wieder mal ein sehr cooler Einblick in deine Arbeit!
This picture is amazing. I have a question. On the 24-70 which focal length did you end up using? Were you completely wide at 24mm?
Nice video, can't wait to try this.
That's a killer image and story behind it. Just a great shot that feels western in every way.
Your academy is well worth every penny.....
Danke für das Making Off vom Cowboy Foto :-). Ich liebe das Bild.
Hey Joel, Love your work and tutorials!! When you compose your shots how do you reconcile aspect ratio and print size? Do you leave extra space on the sides to account for the possibility of cropping due the paper size and aspect ratio not being 1 to 1? Between Creative Live and your website, I have purchased quite a few of your tutorials and can honestly say it has helped me to significantly up my photography game. :-)
@@joelgrimes Thx Joel!!
I must say, that’s a wonderful image.
Thank you!
One of my favorite images, by anyone, ever.
Joel, you say that a good rule is to use the box in the same direction the natural light goes otherwise it will look weird, yet you do the opposite at 0:20 on this:

What is your comment on this?
Joel Grimes ah ok :) I thought you meant the rule as a general one whenever you have a obvious direction of the natural light.
Thanks for the answer! 👍
