Thank You Joel. I am a old dog 50's in Norfolk, VA that need to reinvent himself in the covid-19 era. Learning how to make money with photography. I bought your Still Life Masterclass and going to Joel Grimes Photography Masterclass online Monday, 27 September 2021, 10:00 AM. I am looking to do Product & Pack shot, Still Life, and Stock Photography to start. Head Shots later with lots of practice. I have a small area I am setting up now 6ft x 12ft, I know it's small but I need to make it work. I have a Nikon D750, Nikon 50mm 1.8, Tamron Sp 90mm 2.8 macro, Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G, tripod and with strobe and speedlights. Not much money, but I have the will to practice and learn. You asked lol
Good stuff! Great to hear from you. Keep shooting!
Thank you for sharing this! Love it!
Joel your upbeat way of teaching has truly inspired me. I find your willingness to break a rule or two has freed me and allowed me to become a much better artist.
That's great to hear Mark!!!
Thank you Joel,
Although I'm not a professional photographer, I've leaned a lot from you
Thx for offering perspectives. I now have more freedom. The rule of 3rds just isn’t the only technique that can make or break a photo.
TEACH AND PREACH, JOEL! Loving your down to earth composition tips! :)
I have admired your work for sometime, this is my first time viewing one of your tutorials. I'm self educated when I started over 40 years ago I centered most of my subjects however, after learning the Rule of Thirds I began to put it into practice. I will certainly put into practice what I've learned this morning, it seems very sound. I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and talent on these tutorials, thank you for the ebook and have a good day.

Stellar video. Subscribed. Love your work. Reminds me of an old app called Contrast Master or something. You’re the Leroy Neiman now.
Thanks, Joel. Very helpful and encouraging. Cheers!
Great work. It is so true. Be open for criticism but stay with what you really love. If everybody would make the same picture, how boring would this be?
Couldn't agree more!
Gracias Joel!
Me ha gustado mucho tu video.
He aprendido varias formas de composición que no sabía.
Saludos desde Argentina.

I bought your class and enjoy it very much. I've seen the cowboy and horse some times. I love it - and I wonder why you placed them to the left in the frame - looking left? Intuitively I'd leave more negative space in front of the subject (i.e. to the left in the frame)?
Bjørn, great question. I think it's definitely a matter or preference and where your vision/story takes your composition.
Thank you, how do you get from "taking an image' to 'being taken by the image'? Composition. What is the BEST place to begin . . . . PRIME lens (and move) or ZOOM (and try to wrap your head around changing perspectives).
Fantastic! Love your work. Pictures are amazing. Do you have a course that teaches how to take and edit pics to look like yours? Complete settings ..luts..anything to make photos look like yours?
Thanks, Joe!! I'm running a pretty epic deal here: www.joelgrimes.com/portrait-photography-mega-bundle-deal 😍
