in my opinion, that is the perfect amount of power to have some fun pulls on the street :)
People must not know what a 600whp car feels like...just from looking at the speedometer...that was definitely in the ballpark of 600whp for a 350z
Slim my 350 is supposed to have around 360 and it’s damn near the same no turbo
Danny Mapes what do you mean it’s suppose to have 360hp? What’s done to it? The HR Z’s come stock with a little over 300hp and the De is 280

We all have our own numbers on what a nice setup is, I think 600WHP is perfect for this car with its weight ratio. Definitely not stock and still staying away from the 1000HP club.

Those words “not breaking the wallet” are the most important thing to keep in mind when trying to build a fun car. I totally agree with you, 600hp is plenty of fun along with reliability. Doubling the hp of a stock car should without a doubt always keep a smile on your face. Any more power and you’re just being risky with the motor and just a speed demon without any remorse for the balance of the car.
holy shit i just noticed thats a really high final drive. im using stock diff and 4th gear goes to 120@7100 rpm
Mine stops at 110mph in 4th at 6600 as does his. You must have a hr that has a higher redline, its the same gearing.

Can you tell us how much did you pay for the build?I am looking for a car that I can buy for cheap and spend no more than 15k-20k to build
the turbo kit costs around $5000-10000, the Tuner software was 700 bucks. the fuel pump was at least 150 bucks, the injectors were probably $600, the pistons/crank/rods was probably around $3000. the A/F gauge probably around 150 bucks, etc. plus whatever you have to fix. By the end you would buy a cheap Z for $6000-8000 (clean and in healthy condition) and spend anywhere in between 8000-20000 dollars to make 600whp.
It would be better buying a vette for 12000 and adding a big cam and a tune.
@JayDee We were talking about building the car and not buying a build car. The ls swap cost more than 10k to do, so I would be cautious when buying a ls swapped Z for cheap. The CD adapter plate alone is over a grand...
If you buy the TN it would still cost anywhere from 5k-18k and the 5k range is guaranteed to blow the motor on the 5k miles mark ( at least thats what the forums report)

idk if its cuz of the gearing but when im goin 80 in 7th gear it feels like i dont have much further to go ill be at like 4500rpms..but its a 370 so probly different gearing
