Since you went through all of the effort to do these tests, it would have been good to see more than just one shot after the sand/mud/etc. There isn't much that can get inside of a gun with a round in the chamber to stop the first shot going off - its after the action opens up and sand/debris can fall into all of the moving components that you start having issues.
ruclips.net/video/IDgvliTAaaY/видео.html there you go my son!!!!!
@@zillsburyy1 There is no tests in sand and dirt.
After the mud test their was a hard cut and after the sand test they didn't even attempt a second shot. assuming these scenes were filmed in the same sequence they are shown (which is very logical for a video done in this style) i think i will infer that the pistol failed after the first shot of the mud test, they then decided not to even attempt a second shot for the sand test because they already knew it wouldn't work, then when they throw the pistol to be run over by the truck the guy then picks up a clean gun not covered in sand or mud.
I think i will infer that this gun failed to pass these tests and that the people making the video wanted to make a video like the CZ Bren 2 video, but did not even confirm before hand if the gun could actually pass.
video's like this are why i'm a Cynical bastard, and don't trust anything that comes out of a marketing department.
It is also cool to see a rare(ish) MD-500 NTOR in the wild, however dropping a modern handgun on to soft grass is not a relevant test and they didn't even get a shot of it on the way down. (this is why CZ used a tower in their video, it allows you to position a camera on top of the tower pointing down to get a cool falling away shot. also its much cheaper) now dropping a handgun onto cement from 1000' with a gopro attached, that would have been a much cooler shot, but presume they thought the gun would not survive a test of that magnitude.
@@purplepenguin43 1:12 Pause at 1:12 right before the throw; slide is out of battery and won't fire a second round (hopefully it won't fire out of battery...)
Steyr, you put out your own marketing video showing a torture test and your new MF pistol failing said test?
Ok. Big brain.
When will there be an optics ready version?
Excited for the Steyr M9A2 in January 2020.
I find it good that a company actually does this test. Although not completely shown here, but it demonstrates that Steyr looks at how their product quality holds up.

That's true. But honestly most pistols would have issues. Those tests were performed hundreds of times with almost all brands and most of the duty pistols perform very similar. At the end, it's all about personal preference. Anyways, nicely spotted 👌🏻
I want to see mac run this through his guantlet test! In this video they throw the gun in sand and muddy water with a round in the chamber and only fire one shot, weak. Mac does it better. Doesn't inspire much confidence just having some dudes all tactically dressed running around for show. However I would love to own one of these guns
Id love to see MAC drop it out of a heli, put it in dry ice, sand, run it over with a truck etc.
Would agree would love to see mac do the torture test
Have one of these in the U.K. and they’re awesome pistols so far
I'll be testing it out myself in about 6 days!! I can hardly wait, feels like December 19th. :)
Now that a year has passed, what were the results of your "testing"?
After 3 Years... Whats up?
Nice. but you don't need all the CSI music.. I will check it out...
I had a feeling it would do good!
I like this Steyr ...
Cool but how does it do on AC225? It would be nice to show more than one or five rounds being fired after each exposure.
When you produce the L series in 10mm, you WILL have my money

I came to the same conclusion, and I really wanted to see this thing work. Guess I've been watching too many MAC torture test videos.
Y’all are fun at parties I bet. The gun is pretty decent. Go try it out and enjoy life a bit more.
Are y’all bringing this back?
Impressive
How do you get one of these? I don't see them anywhere for sale.
Why they called it torture? One shot is not the test.
People waiting for 10 mm version. Yo
But can you replace the soft sod with concrete instead?
Please tell about steyr m9 a1 2nd gen? And upload video please
GLOCK CAN GO TO HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No, show us evidence
Would love to see a threaded barrel version and 30-ish round mags. Maybe a 10mm model. That would sell like crazy.
I doubt it would
Steyr has some really shady people running the company.
After market support is steyr big issue.
I don't agree. I had an issue with mine and contacted Steyr instead of the local agent. But Steyr contacted the agent for me and sorted me out within a few days. And I am situated in Africa!
