Heard this for the first time in a texas roadhouse restaurant while having dinner yesterday and i cant get it out of my head

When I thought that country music was for yahoos, hillbillys, and ridge-runners (circa 1977), I was driving to work early one morning on a winding, mountain road when this song came on my AM car (1965 Chevy Belaire) radio. I nearly met my maker trying to dial it in as it faded and returned, due to the mountainous terrain. I have been, forever since, a devoted fan of Willie's. I'm glad this is here!
Every track on the Stardust album is first rate. A classic for the classics.
For his age Willie Nelson sang so beautifully. I like his personality.

I first heard this song in 1979. was in the car with Mother on one of her continuing education trips to SVCC. Now that I have lost mother (passed on Memorial day) it just seems to mean so much more. was a little time between just the two of us.

I saw Willie LIVE at Indian Ranch in Webster , Mass. , several years ago , what a performer . Even got him to sign a ball cap , one of my personal treasures !!! I was amazed , he's so short !!! But , again , what a voice --- he's a National Icon !!!!

Fell in love with this song on board the Skibladner lake cruise in 2001. It was a bit cold in the lakes and everyone on board the upper deck had to dance to the jazz band just to stay warm. This song started all the dancing midway through the cruise right up to the end of the journey. Awesome!

It's weird saying it but as you get older and you have different experiences, opinions, and changes, Willie Nelson seems to have a song for it, his music really is like a soundtrack to our lives. You won't understand or agree with or love all of his songs today but eventually there will be that year or month or hour in the day where you're just like "man this is it, I'm right where Willie was, I'm in 1977 living it!"
If you're still around 10 years after this post, you are absolutely correct. I don't make music like they use to. Sad. After 2000s, seems like most.music went to shit.

For a man who is one of America's greatest songwriters, it is sort of sad that his best song is an old jazz tune he didn't write. Nevertheless, this is absolutely amazing

Since the day I bought the cassette tape I have loved this song. It makes me happy, I sing it in the shower, when I'm cleaning and riding in my car.

I first had this album on vinyl. It was a more raw version where you could hear a kind of squeak on the guitar strings at times. It is faintly audible on this version. They took out the squeak as much as possible on the CDs. I liked that vinyl version better. Love ya', Willie!!!.

I was working at the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville 1978-79 at the time of this albums release. I think I drove my co-workers crazy , playing it non-stop , but its not just a great country album, its a great album period. I think Rolling Stone later ranked it as one od the top 500 albums of all time. Every song is a classic, but this was always my favorite.

I went to all of his New Year's Eve concerts in the Summit in Houston. I've been to two Fourth of July concerts. One in Houston at S.Main Drive in and another in Gonzales. All hell of a show. I was there when we Boo'd Lary Gatlin off the stage and another one where No Show George Jones didn't show up.
