Such a great video. The way you explain the concepts is so easily understood and easy to follow. I love your caring nature. Relatively a new subscriber ❤
Great video! Everything was explained in great detail! I love this channel and your instagram page! Thank you for this knowledge and I will be checking those workouts out👊🏼
I love your videos and I love your approach. A lot of BS gets tossed around the internet these days with advice on how to eat and lose weight. Your approach is simple, straightforward, and I'm sure backed by plenty of experience with what works and what doesn't. And to anyone else reading this, THIS IS THE GUY TO LISTEN TO ^^^
This blows my mind. I’ve been trying to outdo myself. I gained 40 lbs after pregnancy and a Nicu child. The whole hospital situation left me burned out and so sore or my nearly busted uterus. I went from being very fit, runner etc to being depressed and sore from being a Nicu mom. Finally after coming back home from the hospital I thought I would give myself time to start over. That time turned into 6 years of life being life and throwing crap at me. Finally I just got sick of not starting, that first month in my opinion is the hardest and I knew it which is probably why I constantly avoided that first month. Anyway, mid may I got myself a Peloton bike. I realized that even though prior to my child being born I would run an average of 4 miles daily and strength trained 5 days out of 10 I just was not a runner. I hate running actually. I can’t bare myself to do it again. I love lifting but I thought that because of the extra 40 lbs I needed to go beast mode on cardio. I started lifting again in June. But I was doing HIIT sessions on the bike EVERYDAY. 6 miles of death, plus the lifting. The first month went by and that was it… right? I was back on the train right? Except I was feeling awful, like exhausted like never before. I’ve never felt that exhaustion. I started a high protein diet in a calorie deficit, but kept the hiit bike sessions daily. I started realizing maybe I was overdoing myself and probably stressing my body and mind. This video was such a great aha moment for me. I just need to focus on nutrition, lifting and living my bike for maybe some days that I feel spicy. I also need to add walking. I can tell my body is recomping but I have not measured myself which I need to do. Most importantly just worry about my nutrition and not think I can live my guts on the bike everyday to accelerate the process. This is a step by step process and I needed to remember that ❤
Awesome video, such great information. Question, I love fruit is it ok to eat more than 2 Serv if I have a lot of weight to lose. Btw you look awesome!
Thanks so much! All of your content is so helpful. Don’t know if this is a dumb question but how do you know how much calories you’re burning to then even know how many calories to take in? I have an Apple Watch which shows what I burn daily. How accurate is that? And thanks again Eric! 😊
I started weights workouts and 3-4 x per week 45min intense 5k walk with 30- 40 min recovery before a weights workout. I have lost 2 kg. Is the walking helping or hindering.?
I do like 10000-17500 steps a day. I do 80 gm protein and my calories are like 1000 I have Being in 150 weight for 8 months I would like the scale to move 😅 I do exercises and very very active
Have you actually measured the calories by the GRAM. Weigh everything that goes in your mouth. Everything. You are not in a calorie deficit. And if you are eating 1000 calories that means you have to slowly increase your calories to your maintenance calories. You cannot be in a calorie deficit forever. Your metabolism will adjust too how much food and energy you use.
I've been on a caloric deficit diet about a year now. I over did it the first 6 months losing 50lbs so I eased up on my fasting. Easier to fast so I'm not counting calories when I have none going in 🙄
Question, so if I eat 600 calories less from my tdee but I walk 11000 steps in an hour and a half as well, so from the walk say I burn 300 calories and I do strength training in the same day full body workout for an hour and say I burn a 100 calories from that, all together 1000 calories burned is that bad because that is a big deficit? Or am I on the right track
It’s OK but you would be then under nourishing your body and you’ll constantly be hungry. If you have a BIG deficit for the day, then you can either eat SOME of them back, to say 600 calories. Or you can “bank” them for the weekend. But from experience, if I eat below my calorie deficit and do quite a bit of cardio, I just end up very hungry.
I’m struggling with just RESETTING my calories. I have done bad after being stuck on 1600-1700 calories for almost 2 years. Then went into all these different calculators and average for me is to eat 2100-2300 at my current weight, age and activity. I have binged with the mind breaking of how to increase slowly and I just want to know is it okay to just START at those calories after eating off line for a few weeks?? 🫣
