I literally spit out my coffee with laughter when you said that about being so hungry you might “eat the neighbors kids or gnaw your arm off”. Great video!

Down to 164 lbs from 207 lbs (43 lbs total) with help from your videos. A real life saver for me was that vid where you looked at how much weight you can actually gain from overeating occasionally...it really put things in perspective for me as a chronic perfectionist. Thanks a lot :)

Very well made video i really needed to hear this … no one ever addressed this issue … thanks Eric as always you are practical and fantastic ! We have a lot of reserves so no one will starve in a simple calorie deficit if they are overweight !

    Question about hunger levels:
When you reach your weight loss/fat loss goal, do you then automatically experience fewer hunger signals because your body is now needing fewer calories to maintain homeostasis?
Thank-you for driving home the point that it's no reason to panic if you experience hunger while in the calorie deficit! Wondering how that adaptation process works in the long run.

Eric, I am in a calorie deficit, and I make sure to count the calories right and use a scale but I am not hungry, I eat high protein meals, and I am seeing everywhere that it's normal to be hungry in a calorie deficit but I am not. I feel like I am doing something wrong

I guess since I have a culinary background and since mid June on Father's Day started to meal prep it's easy for me to weigh out ingredients. Example, we served a chicken Alfredo and had to portion out like 4oz of chicken 8oz or something similar of pasta and bag em for consistency because we ran a cafe on campus for students etc and in a restaurant environment that's key...
My wife is also joining me on this journey so I meal prep 2 different meals and average about 2-3 dinners per meal .
I don't break down macros (yet) but I do weigh the total food ie ground beef, or 2 chicken thighs etc and the veggies and starch as a whole and then divide each one by the number of meals IE total weight of potatoes, chicken thighs etc and get the bulk weight cooked in grams and divided by the number of containers etc..
My biggest go to that I've always done when cooking breakfast for a crowd is always an egg bake, large frittata or whatever you wana call it. I use almost a whole jug of egg beaters at 25cals per serving vs 78 in a large egg . Use a whole package of Jimmy Dean turkey sausage, (i dont count veg like bell pepper, onion or tomatoes and then a portion of cheese ie o buy a bag of shredded sharp reduced fat cheddar at 90 cals per serving when 1 serving is like 1/4 cup, and i may use up to a cup and when dividing everything bu 8 slices in my 9x13 they equal out to about 275 cals per slice.
I like to add potatoes which may add 50cals etc but still round up to 300 cals per slice and 150-200 for 1/2 cup of oatmeal and im still sitting below 600 cals for breakfast.
Take those 600 at a higher estimate and most my meal prep dishes max out at 800 cals and I definitely have a good 400-500 cals to even hit my "extreme" 2lbd a week on calorie calculator website and im using the no exercise results. I often likely ealk at least a mile at work and off days I jog a mile but I am rounding up on caloric intake and likely minimizing my choices under the activity level.
Since mid June to right noe early Oct BOTH my wife and I are down about 25-30lbs and we aren't struggling or eating air for meals.. quite the opposite and I feel sometimes like ee could be going even more strict.
As far as sweets I'll eat a Snickers ice cream bar for dessert or a cookie etc at 170cals per snickers bar but im still at a deficit and it helps get that fulfillment effect.
Anyways sorry for the novel but I agree with the assessment on the video

Yo I feel you. While the scale says im down 30lbs the instantly noticeable change is my clothes. Shits fitting looser, i usually get a 3x in shirts but this website that sells band shirts maxxes at 2xl and i was like fuck it and the 2XL are fitting lile my 3xl and my 3xl are starting to fit a little too sloppy.

Fewer calories, not less calories. Fewer is for plurals. Less is only for when it's a whole. E.g. I have less energy than yesterday, not I have fewer energy than yesterday.

I try to drink a few cups of water before I eat to help me feel more full. So far at 2000 cals for supposed 2lbs a week I feel like it's easy to eat that goal throughout the day without feeling too hungry.. sometimes mid way through an evening work shift i get a bit hungry but yah.
Personally i like to weigh myself once at the end of the month sometimes twice a month. Seems like the lobger you wait the better your average is obviously

    I lost 18 kgs / 39 lbs doing OMAD.
Fat at 60% was the key for me.
23 hours of no kcal intake - you get use to it.
Just embrace the hunger - it comes and goes.
If you get too low on kcal intake - you'll wreck your metabolism.
    Better to increase your NEAT.
