That next to last Tuba player from Miami is a whole show by himself!!!! That kat got some MEAN footwork with a Tuba!!!! I can only imagine that same footwork as a Drum Major!!!

freakin inSANE. I still do not know quite what I watched, from the 6 (6!!!) dms to the splitting Tubas -- but, sure did watch that. Sure did laugh, sure was amazed. I just kept thinkin, would I pay 4000 dollars for an instrument and then try to jump and do a split with it? not so sure. Quite a show! Thanks for posting!
If you have never seen an HBCU band they do alot while having great musicianship. This is their traditional field exit. Been doing in for years and years.

Bama State used to run onto and off of the field like that back in the day. Everyone was in sync with the beat. Feet, arms and instruments were all moving the same way. I must say though that FAMU’s Sousaphones are BEAST.

I honestly don’t care for their style, and that’s being honest. I’ve seen FAM a lot of times, and played against them......being a former member who’s marched in the Meac and the SWAC....I’ve seen it all. So this just comes from preference than anything else. I am glad though that they recovered as an organization, and their numbers are growing again. And ballad wise I will also admit that they are (or can be) the best out there. Outside of that, they’re just generally corny to me. Chuckling shrugs
