He always shares his love not only for movies but for los angeles' movie history.
Is well know that in the movie The Godfather, the character Moe Greene is based on Bugsy Siegel, but what many people don’t know is that the name MOE GREENE is a combination of the names MOE Sedway and Gus GREENbaum who took over The Flamingo after Siegel’s assassination.

Welcome back Michael and Jessica! As soon as I saw the new notification clicked right away. Missed me some grimmlife! Awesome and informative show as always. Much love from Wisconsin!
Almost two weeks with anticipation of the next posting, and it was well worth the wait. Great work, as usual!
I love your history videos the way you tell them is awesome. It reminds me of a teacher I had back in history class. The way you tell the stories
Loved this one !! I've always been a big fan of the Gangsters and outlaws . Like them or hate them , they were colorful characters . That's why their stories endure .
If you ever start offering Grimm tours in L.A., let us know. I will absolutely buy tickets. Thanks for the great content.
Maybe one day. And if we do…you better be there.
@@grimmlifecollective I promise to be there. It'll be a hoot. 👍🏽
i would return to l.a. just for a tour 😬
You guys are awesome 👍thx
I agree, your true history and true crime content is absolutely fascinating. Keep it up Grimmlife!
Your video was amazing and you helped show how much all the history is so interwined and things that you think aren’t connected are by some small thing
Exactly. Thank you for watching
Being born and raised here in Southern Calif. I love learning all the history that is here. Thank you so much. I enjoy the videos and I find myself sometimes retracing your steps and go see the places for myself.
Wow! What amazing history. From Bugsy's death to Howard's crash! What an awesome channel 😃👍Thanks for sharing ❤️
Bugsy was a visionary without him vegas would never have happened a lot of mobsters were very intelligent
Thanks again Grimmlife for yet another awesome historic video. I've always been fascinated with these historical stories of the 40's. Looking forward to your Howard Hughs video. 👋👍
Personally love it when your videos take an unexpected turn through history, they are often so much more than you expect.
Thank you for watching. Glad you enjoyed the journey as well.
Like it when you do filming locations. Please do more.
This is awesome! The mob had fingers in everything.
So is the coffin inside there or is it just the ashes . 🤔🇬🇧
Always enjoy the visits to Hollywood Forever, Interesting story on the neighborhood. So much there!
Good video Michael. I've said it before but I love your calm demeanour in your video's. It relaxes me :)
Grimm ASMR
You remind me of Vaughan in Crash when he's explaining the famous car crash he's about the recreate. Good stuff, thank you.@@grimmlifecollective
His voice is sooo calming. I listen to the videos while I’m at work (sneak a peek every chance I get) and watch them when I get home lol
I have always been fascinated by the old time mobsters , great video and info
Actress Rosemary DeCamp lived in one of the damaged houses during Howard Hughes' plane crash on July 7, 1946. She and her husband, a Municipal Court Judge, were at home but not injured when a wing of the plane and part of the roof from another house struck their bedroom. Warren Beatty claimed that his cell phone either cut out or went staticky whenever he drove past Siegel's death house, during the making of "Bugsy." In the documentary, "Dark Star," Shirley Ballard claims that a couple of days after Siegel's murder, Frank Sinatra took her to the house and opened a bottle of champagne in the living room, with blood on the sofa and the shattered front window. They drank a glass of champagne and sat on the death sofa. There are many stories about that location that have been told and retold over the decades.
Incredible thanks for sharing.
Great info, well written too.
Frank did that? How gruesome.😱
As an aside, there was a time when "Old Blue Eyes" had an ongoing vicious quarrel with columnist Dorothy Kilgallen. He'd been warned not to get into a feud with someone who bought their ink by the barrel. But ... Frank's temper was well known.
Anyway I've a recording live from a Las Vegas show with Frank, Dino and Sammy Davis Jr.
Just before the show got going and during the introductions Frank says to the large audience, "Hey listen everybody. If you should run into Dorothy Kilgallen, be sure you're in a Buick." 😯
If he drank champagne in the very bloody room of Benjamin Siegel's assassination, did Frsnk dance the Tarantella when he heard of Kilgallen's death under mysterious circumstances?🤔
Well Frank's association with various mobsters is well known and documented. The same ones suspected of JFK's assassination and Dorothy Kilgallen interviewed Jack Ruby in the Dallas jail house and she said she knew and had proof of the JFK assassin.
When she was found dead, the mysterious binder she claimed had her proof was missing. 🤔
Amazing just amazing Ty Mike & Jessica appreciate your efforts and quality content. We sure enjoyed this Bugsy Siegel tribute, what a story his life was! Luv&Peace Cheers to continued success friends Sean & Family 💛✌🏼👍🏼⚘
So sorry I’m late to this one besties, at my work currently I am not allowed to have my phone so missed the notification!! I hate missing your video premieres so im watching now! I’m sure it’s going to be amazing as per usual! Miss you guys!!! 🦇💚❤️🔥👻🎃❤️🥰
Great video Michael and yes you speak very calm when yiu tell these atiries about everyone you talk about and show theur graves and locations of movies or Shows. Happy Halloween 🎃👻
micheal and jessica a really cool vlog this one much respect to u both and grimms forever and of course happy hallowen to u both 👻👻👻👻👻
I've been to Hollywood Forever but have yet to visit Bugsy's grave. I can say that I've visited vicariously through Grimm Life.
It always happens like that. Hollywood is filled with history and you ALWAYS forget something. He’s there waiting for you though.
Intense. I used to work on Bedford Drive a couple of blocks from where Johnny Stompanato was killed by Lana Turner's daughter. The "Naked City" has got nothing on LA. I wonder if Hollywood Forever has any effect on Paramount Studios... considering the proximity.
I love hidden history like this myself! Nothing too special about the haunted triangle but a few car crashes of famous people
That telephone line up was spot on. Awesome stuff.
The godfather of Vegas Bugsy Siegel
Wow that's amazing of all the times I've driven through Beverly hills never realize these homes are still up. Where bugsy was shot that's amazing. one of the reasons I love watching your channel even though I lived in California most my life you show me things that I didn't even know still existed
Thanks Michael. I forgot most of what happened to Siegal.
Thank you for sharing. It's always fascinating learning about the mafia. Those fellows had their own code and way of living. Dark but still a part of our history. Love Boardwalk Empire and have been binge watching Peaky Blinders. Much appreciation for your channel and videos. Stay safe and spooky. Halloween's just around the corner.🖤
Great Video Guys ! Just Fantastic . Love You guys. Have Fun in UK !!!
Howard Hughes also connected with Las Vegas. I saw the movie about Bugsy Siegel and I think it was Warren Beatty who played Bugsy.
Outstanding work on lining up that alley shot, Michael! Another captivating and very informative video! Well done as usual!
Michael you got the magic. You transform a simple visit to a boring mausoleum into something very interesting and grandiose ! 👍
Of course, it helps that I watched the Bugsy movie but I'm not really a big fan. But we must recognize the fact that he is actually Las Vegas' daddy.
Howard Hughes should’ve been called Bugsy, he kept his piss in Mason jars. He went years eating just campbells soup and black walnut ice cream for dessert. His list goes on and on . He was insane for quite sometime
Hello grimmers. Considering bugsy Siegel there is a at Southern California connection, that being a residence that him and his people occupied up in the lake Arrowhead California. Just off of the riddle of the world highway there are a set of bungalow apartments that one can now rent an occupy or leaves at the time these were owned by bugsy Siegel and his people the bungalows some being attached and some being unattached the ones that were attached have secret passages still in the walls that you can open to go from one bungalow to another in case someone had to escape quickly. The friend of mine lived in the bungalows for a while and showed me the escape route is all very interesting and stuff is still there.
Anyone who's played the game Fallout New Vegas will appreciate this video. Bugsy Siegel & Howard Hughes are both notorious and important characters in early Hollywood and Las Vegas history. Wonderful video
Ring A Ding Ding Baby
Loved this video on bugsy. Such history about him. Love mob history. And old Vegas history as well. It was so good to finally get to watch a video. It's been a minute and y'all very busy too. Keep them coming 🎃🖤
Such a cool video. The old gangster history is always so interesting.
Awesome how you matched up that alley way with the crash photo. Love how you guys cover so much of the history around that area, it truly is fascinating.
Welcome to Britain 🇬🇧
I love your channel. I have been watching for years. I have a brain injury and your channel helps me hold my attention span so thank you. ❤️❤️❤️
Awesome video from love the show grimm my favorite one is still the buddy holly crash site keep it up
Yes! If visiting murder houses becomes a thing I'm all for it!! ✌️🖤💀
Awesome video thanks for sharing👍
Fun fact: Bugsy best friend was Meyer Lansky
I really enjoy your videos and the manner in how you present them and explain them, I always look forward your channel.
I actually googled the crime scene..yikes..but my guess would be that he was murdered because he murdered. Someone simply stopped him.
Awesome work Michael. Top class ❤️✌️🏴
wake up babe, new grimmlifecollective video just dropped !
Happy Halloween!!
🖤
Isn't Hollywood Forever Cemetery also the filming location for 1982's "One Dark Night"?
Great video and story dude! Just one thing....1947...not too likely they were watching a television.
Beautiful blog! You are going to love the UK plenty of spooky places Blessings and happy Halloween!!!🎃🦇🎃🇬🇧👻🎉🎊🍵
Michael and Jessica, love you guys! While on the subject of Bugsy Siegel, is there any possibility of a day trip to Castillo del Lago? This huge mansion in the Hollywood Hills, back in it's day belonged to both Bugsy Siegel and later to Madonna. I'm sure it's now been much renovated, but it was so AWESOME in the 1963 B&W movie House of the Damned! Just thought I'd ask. Stay cool as you are.
Bravo dude! 👏🏻
I enjoyed that very much . Love your Enthusiasm 4 history / historic Places. Thx
I literally just watched the movie "Bugsy" for the first time ever last week, starring Warren Beatty.
I really enjoyed it
I have also really, really enjoyed this video....a great way to end my day after work
Happy Halloween♠♥♦♣🎲🎰🎰⚰⚰
I grew up with the myth of Howard Hughes, which a future investigative posting, from you, would be very welcomed. I only knew of the extreme sensationalized stories, of Mr. Hughes, who indeed had his many flaws. However, not sure you can limit one posting, to this very influential, very damaged icon?
Happy Halloween 👻! Love history too! Can't wait to see the stuff from Europe! Pretty sure there are more bizarre stuff that happened around the area. Great video, as always! Stay Spooky 🎃
That was a good one...I enjoyed it as well.
Thanks for another great video. I always learn something from your efforts. Happy Halloween! 👻
Awesome video from my favorite spooky couple Happy Halloween 🎃👻 🧟😈
Love it just watch the movie yesterday and was all into looking up stuff about Bugsy and Virginia hill and his real wife. All of that I just went through all that yesterday night or actually day before yesterday and yesterday morning trip. I’m a Vegas boy, so I love Bugsy.
Love this history video 👍🏿 happy Halloween 🎃👋🏿
Thanks, again for another fine episode, GriMMs!.... Loved the part of walking around the Bugsy neighborhood, with all the line-up the shot moments, and mobster hits from the days of old.... SO FiNE... Be safe, and I'm sorry, that I'm late to the punch on this episode.... :^)""""""""""""""
Oh yes and have a wonderful time on your vacation and find all kinds of spooky crazy fun things for us to see can't wait to see what you can dig up in Europe. Happy Halloween!
I really loved the video nobody ever talks about his murder or how he died but I’m happy that u visit his house and shown where he once lived and where he got well yeah my grandpa yeast to work for him strangely enough keep up the cool videos just saw the Halloween horror nights one and I got scared and grossed out all at the same time😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
In the movie bugsy, unknown shooter did 10 or 15 shots bugsy got alot and back to the head through his right eye from the back window. In reality the shooter fire 9 shots. Bugsy siegel hit in both eyes, neck, nose.
Another EXCELLENT video! 🖤💜🧡
How do I go from “gettin jiggy wit it” on your theme tune and then get kicked in the gut over the opening song. Slainte
My fiancé and I love stories of the Mob so mysterious. Thank you Michael and Jessica another adventure with you and sharing it with us we love you guys!! 🎃 Happy Halloween 🖤💚👻🎃
As a "fan" of La Cosa Nostra, and well the intriguing story of such stuff. Where I live is a few miles from Al Capone's "hideout". Happy Halloween y'all 😎
I loved visited his resting place in Hollywood forever. Great video.
Would love to hang out and explore these homes
Great work, as always. Your enthusiasm is genuine and infectious which makes your videos so damn good. 😍
Missed seeing you guys 👍👍
The home destroyed by the plane was someone that was connected to the neuremburg trial?!?! Wow!!
Another one knocked out of the park, we're gonna have to call you the home run king!! Was alittle worried with the silence of the grimm life but given the busy schedule, it's given. Don't go changing and can't wait for the HHN video. Happy Halloween.
Thank you and we will always be here. This past 2 weeks were virtually impossible to get out into the world with a camera.
@grimmlifecollective I kinda figured and I know the future is going to be more hectic but will be fun. Glad to see Michael and baby ghoul are making the trip of a lifetime happen. Happy Halloween 🎃 to you both.
Good too see u back cheers from 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Your videos are always so interesting. I would love to see one about Howard Hughes.
Omg, Michael & Jessica, I'm so glad that you did this video on Bugsy Siegel has always been very interesting to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your video was amazing
Wonderful informative video my friend! My husband and I love watching you and your beautiful wife visit these great historical places and detailing their history. Keep up the stellar work and God bless :)
Very well done. Thank you for sharing 👏 👍
Great video Michael Happy Halloween 👻
Wow, what a great video. The bit about Howard Hughes and the famous plane crash was certainly a bonus. I knew the alleyway looked familiar, and then you proceeded to say it was where his plane crashed, and my mouth dropped open. Keep up to the good work, Michael. Happy Halloween 🎃💀👻
Also, I love horror movies, so that's how I'll be spending Halloween, hehe.
Love these types of Hollywood History videos. As a child I was completely fascinated with underworld crime and wild west legends. In 5th grade ('67- '68) we had to complete a report on "An American I admire". I did mine on Billy the Kid and ended up having to see the school psychologist!!! I got an A but was still a suspect character after that. Luckily the next year I was in Middle School with all different teachers and a new school so my suspect personality was forgotten. Thank you for your videos! We are hunkering down because a hurricane is coming.
You guys should do John Gotti then and now places!!
Love this video. Can you and Jessica make a video of John Dillinger's grave?
❤Michael. Wonderful video! Beautiful music and great footage. Peaceful mausoleum. Very Interesting About Howard Hughes. I Remember The Crash In The Movie , THE AVIATOR. Great shot Line Ups. L❤Ve You ❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤
