My grandfather met Anthony Perkins while he was on the road with his band mates. He told me about it the next day while driving me to school. I was so jealous but happy for him. I wish I could do stuff like this. I appreciate that you and Jessica do amazing work. Keep doing what you are doing.
What an interesting story about Tony Perkins, he was the perfect person to be Norman Bates. I didn't know he marched with Martin Luther Kind, Jr. Selman march, he was a good man. RIP Anthony Perkins.
The original "Psycho" is still my favorite horror movie today & it's all because of Anthony Perkin's portrayal of Normal Bates. He was perfect for the role & I loved watching him scare many generations. lol Thank you for focusing on a wonderful entertainer that died far too young.
I can't put my finger on it but there is something about going on these adventures with you guys that makes me feel like I'm right there with you. Other channels just don't do that for me. Anyway great job as always...Happy Halloween...🤓
My friend won tickets to see a sneak peak of Psycho III back in the 1980's. We went together. They had a raffle before the movie and I won a Psycho III shower radio. I spilled my popcorn getting up to claim my prize, much to the laughter of the entire theater. Still, it was a great memory, and I really enjoyed the film.
Just try to watch this and not learn something you didn't know already. The Grimm life Collective dose the deepest digging to maybe not find a body but a photo that will blow minds and inspire hope. Anthony Perkins just stabled his way into my heart wish love and compassion.
Love your videos! FYI. I'm a mortician. Those are caskets. No one uses the archaic term coffin anymore. We also store our casket's vertically. It saves space. Also, those flies are called crypt flies. When a body is entombed it is usually placed in a gasket sealed casket. Then it's placed onto a plastic tray inside the crypt. Usually, but, not always the crypts have ventilator fans. As the body decomposes it produces methane gases called mercaptans or thiols. The fans are supposed to cause a negative draft so visitors won't notice the smell of decomposition. Sometimes, even though the decedent has been placed in a hermetically sealed casket, bodily fluids will leak from the casket and that's why the plastic trays are there. Back to those those cute, little crypt flies. They love to feed on decomposed remains. They will lay their eggs on the body and within about a month they will hatch and you'll see them flying around the mausoleum. Ain't nature wonderful?

We did stop at a party going on where Errol Flinn's house use to be. The cops chased us out of there and told us how to get out of the hills. Another great video you made me remember something I kind of forgot.
Did you know that the widow of Anthony Perkins (Berry Berenson) was on one of the planes in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 (American Airlines Flight 11)? This was the first plane to fly into the World Trade Center. Absolutely tragic story. And many thanks for your really great videos. Greetings from the Black Forest in Germany.
Awesome video. If anyone hasn’t seen the Psycho sequels, I highly recommend them. Especially Psycho 2, which was directed by Richard Franklin, who studied under Hitchcock himself. One of my favorite sequels ever.
The mausoleum of the Hollywood Forever Cemetery gives me a similar vibe as a deserted shopping mall ..something that was once glamorous, but is now abandoned and forgotten...Another great video, guys. Thank you for taking me places I could never go.
I recall one of Hitchcock's interviews where he was asked about his penchant for long takes of close ups of Anthony Perkins while filming 'Psycho', particularly his angular jaw and its movements. Hitch said it was to further show the audience how bird-like 'Norman' was, but that his camera was just in love with Hopkins's expressions and ease with which he switched from mild-mannered to Mama. Fun fact: Tony Perkins's son Oz played one of Elle Woods's new friends at Harvard law school in 'Legally Blonde'. PS: When you two head to Europe, please consider going to Monaco for a little (Princess/Queen) Grace Kelly documentation! She fits right in with your Hitchcock group vlogs! Those big boxes standing in the Hollywood Cemetery is really something special, kinda creepy 👀 This place is so quiet too, I’d love to visit it someday!
Another fascinating video. I once had the pleasure of meeting Anthony in the mid 80s when he was here in England playing an English spy in a limited series called The Glory Boys. We chatted for awhile, and he told me he was having problems mastering an English accent. ( In the finished series, it was very good by the way!) He signed an autograph and wished me well. A terrific actor and a very nice man. We lost him far too soon.

Check out 'On the Beach' starring Perkins and several more big Hollywood hitters.
