Summarized my top 5 tips in the description box 💗 just wanted to say thank you again!! The struggle has been real. Time went faster than I expected!! Your support means the world to me! Onto YEAR #2 🥳 tag me in some of your hair journey/natural hair pics on insta!! 💗
I did a 2nd big chop 2 weeks before you and majority of my hair is also 7 inches, 6 inches in the back after trimming it. If my hair continues growing at this rate, my hair at 2 years post my 2nd big chop will be longer than at 5 years post my 1st big chop. Amazing what happens when you take care of your hair lol. Congrats girlie!!
The struggle has been real! I’ve been natural for 6 years and there has been so much trial and error. It’s only in the past 6 months that I’ve started retaining real length 🙄
Can you make a video of how you take care of your hair throughout the week (in between your weekly deep conditions) - e.g. your protective styles and moisturising routine
I'm also a year natural, mine grew a little more than 8 inches. I did not use any booster of any sort because I wanted to see the natural rate at which my hair grows.
That's pretty great. I dont know your lenth goal but if you continues that rate every years in 3/4 years you will have a long hair and if you do videos here, we will talk to you about genetics 😂😂
Yeah I noticed that too. For me hear it seems like keeping it free doesn't retain it. I wish you could just grow just like straight out. But it doesn't seem like that. It always seems like I have to tie it up have to braid it up or do something to it. It can't just be out and go to sleep. I cannot just go to sleep with it just plain out that's why I always try and keep it bind up.
Happy big chop anniversary! ❤....your hair journey has inspired me in so many ways and has taught me to only do the necessary things. I don't have to do everything that every body says to grow out a healthy hair, i only have to do what is relevant and truly helpful. You opened my eyes to that!😊, and I'm thankful. Much love from Nigeria queeny💕💕💕
Girl I love having short hair. Every 2years I just cut it all off. Down side is I love my big curly hair too 😭 I’m thinking of cutting my hair short again
It took me two years to get to that. I feel like while I transitioned my relaxed hair fell out cause it was a little longer that where your hair was in July 2018. Is it because I don't touch my hair with deep conditioning and stuff?
The back of my hair is the longest 5" the front is like 2-3" I struggle with front tbh but since I cover my hair when I go to bed it grows pretty well.
Yes thinking about cutting my hair was so devastating not thought off I would go crazy if somebody cut my hair up until almost a year ago(my year mark is April 15) that was my first time even thinking about doing something so bazaar everybody was so shocked at me cause they know how I was about my damage hair I was shocked like you but happy at the same time it was the best decision I made and its growing back so fast and healthy y’all it don’t make no sense it makes me pass out EVERYTIME and my hair grows half an inch every week NO LIE!
Today is my 1 year anniversary as well and I have grown the same amount of inches! Thanks for all the tips Lil Sis! You are inspiring so many big choppers into the next phase of their hair growth!
I’m about to hit the 1 year in April and my hair at 11 1/2inches I cut it down to 2 inches & it grew in these braids I can’t wait to see how long it’s gonna be when I take these braids down my hair already looks atleast a month old it’s only 1 week & 4 days old
Your hair is beautiful! CONGRATULATIONS!!! ...I still don't know for sure if I'd do the big chop but I'm considering it...It forces you to study your OWN hair and learn what she likes and dislikes.!Forgive me..Not trying to be nosy Sis but you posted his pic, is that Country Wayne the comedian? He is hilarious I love his vids! Peace and happiness Sis! You two look great together! ❤
Am 11 months natural, w would have been a year but I permed for a month ( do regular trims though) before starting my journey. All I know is my front hair reaches my nose. Am hoping i can grow more.. When I have the money to. Right now I don't use any natural hair leave in mpo. Anyway your hair is beautiful Queeny💟💝👍
Me too but i had a lot of breakage and at one point felt my hair was damaged (it wasn't) and cut off atleast 2 inches at the bank which i regret like no man's business. Braids really helped as since I stopped getting them a year ago, it really hasn't grown but i hate braids so much arghh
You are beautiful & so is your hair! Thank you for the tips! This is my 4th time transitioning but I can’t stay away from the straighteners. My head is too big to rock a fro lol. But I’ll try to do better 😁
When washing your hair prior to deep conditioning every week, how do you avoid drying your hair out? I have low porosity 4C hair, so I use a clarifying shampoo. But when I use it on a weekly basis and then deep conditioner my hair with a thermal cap, it ends up being really dry that week. As a result, I just wash and deep condition every two weeks, but I think my hair could benefit from weekly deep conditioning. What would you recommend?
I feel like I'm going the healthy hair journey with you since I started transitioning last February. I'm at a state where I can put my hair into a bun (no extensions ) for the first time. I'm so happy for you❤️
Have you tried uncle funkys daughter gel? It so hydrating and I don’t know about the price in Canada but in the uk it’s cheaper than kinky curly. Similar ingredients too
7” makes sense since you didn’t shave it all off, you weren’t bald you had a low cut at about one inch so you grew 6”. Your hair grew the average amount. That’s amazing ✨💕
My hair will get to collar bone length from twa in a year every time with minimal effort, even if I relax or hot comb it constantly. Then it will just stay there. No matter what I seem to do. No heat, commercial colours, tight styles, wigs, extensions, braids for the past two years but it's no longer.
so it seems like the big secret is protective styles, along with moisture. But I'm a dude, I don't even think I could wear a wig...where would I even find a realistic one for dudes...I really want to grow my hair without doing the dread option, but I just don't see another way. And with my job, my hair has to be presentable...any advice
i had to subb i love natural hair you look bueatifull please keep your end moisturized and hydrated that's the secret in keeping lenght among other things!
Erm not to be a debbie downer but your hair grew 5 inches. Because you did not big chip bald you had at least 2 inches on your head. This could be misleading for some.

Good for you girl!! 💕 the first year was the hardest for me and now my hair is flourishing. It has definitely helped me gain patience
The back of my hair is the longest 5" the front is like 2-3" I struggle with front tbh but since I cover my hair when I go to bed it grows pretty well.

Wow, props to you for getting all your hair in that bun. My hair is slightly longer, but even still it could NEVER. Junk’s too thick.😅🙄
Lol it’s a lot of work. My hair was stretched in cornrows for a few days so it was easier to do
Am 11 months natural, w would have been a year but I permed for a month ( do regular trims though) before starting my journey. All I know is my front hair reaches my nose. Am hoping i can grow more.. When I have the money to. Right now I don't use any natural hair leave in mpo.

I think you are on the right track......just keep working hard and researching hair growth tips and products for your hair type. Good Luck!
Your hair sometimes seems to stay at one length for a long time but it might actually become voluminous or look nicer and healthier but yeah
@@QWAsingz True, it does feel thicker, softer and it clumps under certain conditions. I've recently realised I'm a wiry 4b rather than 4c.
@@antoinettebutler7231 Thanks👍🏽
@GeminII _😀 When you figure it all out, please let me know!
What are you oils mixtures?
Nice one darling ❤

I feel like anyone can wear a wig. But you have to find one that fits your own personal style that you can style for work.
Justine Horton this going to sound mad dumb. But where do I get a wig? The beauty store?
Curious fan..why did u cut ur hair??
