Today is August 18th, 2023 and I am happy I found your video. My hair is growing back from having breast cancer twice and I have been using Taliah Waajid products. I shampoo and condition every two weeks, and I deep condition one a month. My scalp is still sensitive, I message my scalp every other day. Thank you for your video. God's love and blessings to you and your family in Jesus name Amen ♥❤ 🙏
I’ve always gotten compliments on my hair and as I started going silver, I still do. However, silver hair is very different. My mom started perming my hair when I was very young, about 9 or 10. I have very thick hair, so I think it was hard for her to do it. So I grew up perming it also. Now that I’m older now and have silver, this perming stuff has gotten old! So I have been wanting to cut it for years to see if I could do the “natural “ hair stuff. I love being the real me and I wanted to stop using chemicals. So I did it!! I cut it completely off Jan 8, 2020. I was so scared. But guess what? I was very relieved and pleasantly surprised. It was wonderful. I loved feeling my real hair underneath. I have shimmering silver that just “glows”. It’s beautiful. So my journey begins. So glad I did this. Live watching these videos. Keep them coming!!
You are wise beyond your years! The Universe has great things in store for you!😘 You should have more than 30k subbies. In the meantime I am happy to be one! Congrats beautiful. That smile tho🔥
I just cut my hair off for the 3rd time I love to chop. I only clicked bc you’re gorgeous. I find that when you just enjoy the process and not really stress the “growth” process and to moisturize hair grows like crazy. Also as you said genetics also play a role so people should look at their tree. Everyone won’t have long hair, thick hair, or course hair ya’ know? So get to know your hair if you want growth.
Our hair grow so much and we always change up and cut it alot I believe more than any others so people think black women's hair can only be short but that's because we choose to. I just chopped my locs after 1 year I missed my curls and mine grows really fast so I know hair growth is around the corner! I love our hair all textures
IF YOU ARENT JUST THE CUTEST PRETTIEST LITTLE SOMEBODY!! so beautiful . So glad you are clearing up that stigma that we can't grow long hair. I grew up with long hair but still felt like it was mix girls who could grow hair and that I was just an exception for some reason. Hope your friends little sister is thriving with her hair by now
Thank you for bringing up dry and brittle hair, which I have. Is their a such thing as 6c hair yes chil and now that I'm going completely grey my hair is really extremely dry and brittle it's almost like dying your hair bleach blonde. I am having a hard time keeping my hair moisturized and getting that softness. I drink lots of water this hair of mines need prayer and a good moisturizer Idk. I've tried almost everything
The big tip stop heat cuz u well make your hair breaking. And always moisturize your end because the end alway breaking and if your home breaking u can’t see the grow
Average growth is 0.5 inches a month, meaning there are people whose natural growth rate is slower or faster than this, nothing is wrong. You'll get there eventually.
Great video !! First off congrats on 30k 🤩! Never heard of the greenhouse effect ( on hair) will definitely try it. I’m 10 months post big chop and my hair is growing fairly fast too, one more thing I do is “protective styles “ 7 cornrows that i leave in for about 3-4 days then cowash & moisturize. ✨ thank you Ny!!
Have you tried a rice water Rinse for shedding? I understand if you do it too much it drys your hair out. So I do it 2 times a month and I get hardly have any shedding and My curls pop and hair is soft.
Drying with a T-Shirt is the one thing I learned from RUclips. Nothing else new to me, but that T-shirt is just so much easier to use and the shirt dries faster than the towel. Well the satin pillowcase an bonnets were new to me too. I used to use whatever I found in the house like a bandana or random scarf to tie my hair at night
Fascinating: total opposite of my hair, but I’m interested in how different hair types take care of their natural hair. A lot of the same principles apply to my “old, porous, fine, straight white hair” as they do to your “young, coarse, curly, low-porosity black hair.” Such beautiful hair. Thanks for sharing.
I wish my hair could stay moisture and curly and grow so I can wear it all the time. I do not like spending money on my hair all the time! I might get locs!
Today is April 3rd 2024 enjoying your videos. Thinking about cutting it back off because I also feel I didn’t get to enjoy it. But I’m being inspired. 😊 I know your videos are years old.
Great job Ny! I've enjoyed watching your journey growing your hair. I found your channel when I was about 3 years in as a natural but was keeping my hair straight. Your tutorials gave me the courage to try and wear my hair natural and learn how to take care of it. It's been 2 1/2 years since then and I feel great about my hair and my journey. Hair care truly is self care so I agree with your spill at the end about learning how to best take care of it as a part of yourself. I've learned a lot through my hair journey, not just about hair but about myself. Your tips were spot on 👌🏾 Much love from Tennessee ❤️
My hair hasn’t grown in years. I just cut it off short. Will it grow back? My moms hair is ok, not to long or too thick. I use the ORS hair oil and shea butter. I use Aussie to wash my hair twice a week and i deep condition once. I will try rice water 3 times a week. Will my hair grow?
Thanks beautiful sis. What sucks about being mixed with Panamanian, is not having anyone to show me how to take care of my hair. So it's absolutely wonderful to get tips. Love and light XOX
You are So Beautiful 😍 Thumbs up Subscribed and your presentation was Perfection and Yes Smile!!! Love the Make up silvery Gold lips a plus for your Skin! Your hair is Poppin! Moisturized and all! Will watch again Congrats to your Sunscribers.
I wish I knew what my dad's hair looked like. He's been bald all my life and in all the pics I've seen of him lol. His mother's (my grandma) hair was full tho. My mom's hair is thick and long too so I think I got it pretty good with the genes too. I do t have to do much for my hair to grow so I keep cutting it, and ppl get mad. I mean I donated enough to make 2 wigs for kids so.. I think I'm good
Make sure you’re getting to know your OWN hair. I was natural for years learning about other naturals hair and using what worked for them for me. 4 years into my natural journey I big chopped... again and I’ve finally learned MY HAIR. My hair likes to be washed 2-3 times a WEEK. my hair is low manipulation but high maintenance. So I can’t use Shea butter and use products with mostly natural ingredients. I can’t wear protective style frequently or any styles really. I use 2 leave ins and a coconut/jajoba oil mixture to seal. And I HAVE to style on damp/dry hair or my hair will not soak up the moisture. So figure out YOUR HAIR. Take note of what works and what doesn’t, feel your hair. And your hair doesn’t have to be soft as silk, not everyone’s hair is.
Glamorous BAILY# LOVE hey what works, works🤷🏽♀️. I never would’ve realized that my infrequent wash days was one of the leading causes in my breakage and stunted growth if I didn’t stop listening to the hype and just do what I knew best
Glamorous BAILY# LOVE you’re so very welcome girlie💙. My tips... 1. just make sure you’re listening and tracking. For example, I monitor my shedding. I don’t horde my hair balls but I take note of them week to week to make sure anything I’m doing is not cause breakage. 2. Pay attention to your scalp, I used to scrub my scalp with my nails and my scalp would always be sore. A few weeks ago I started doing natural wash and gos (no manipulative curling) and the pain was still there so I knew it had to be something else. Finally I realized that it was my nails, now I only use the pads of my fingers. Btw I DONT KNOW MY POROSITY, I don’t need to. And you may not either, it never helped me, it only led me astray.
Deep conditioning with heat!!!!!
Omggg also very important!! How’d I miss this. Thanks, friend❤️
Wwwoooww!!I never knew we NEEDED the heat!thanks ladies
Which is better to deep condition with - a dryer or steamer?

Thank you so much for accepting that genetic plays a great role. You and your hair are beautiful
I paused your video just to come and tell you how beautiful you are. WOOOWWW.
Your dad looked like he could’ve been a teenager now! That’s odd. 🤨
not odd because black don’t crack
Because black people have children super young
I waste a lot of water, sorry California!!! LOL
The big tip stop heat cuz u well make your hair breaking. And always moisturize your end because the end alway breaking and if your home breaking u can’t see the grow
I had the video playing in the background for a moment and the "then it hit me" part scared the hell outta me 😭😭
Bwha sorry friend!
stacy same here lol. As soon as I read your comment I heard it
I needed this cuz I'm already 6 months in and it's like a 2 inch difference
Zaniah X honestly I feel like I’m doing a lot of things wrong ugh, and single strand nots will be the death of me
TogunsuaXx honestly 😔
I think it’s just her genetics tbh
Average growth is 0.5 inches a month, meaning there are people whose natural growth rate is slower or faster than this, nothing is wrong. You'll get there eventually.
Be patient is so hard but so worth it !
I cut my hair April 1st
You remind me of Ashley from fresh prince🥰. Did my big chop last month. Thanks for the tips😊

Your hair, skin, and paintings are all beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

God bless you girl, you have a gift of teaching, so articulate and relatable. Love ya
Your the first person I've seen with hairas thick as mine. I want to see how you got your hair in that style.
How often would you say you do the greenhouse method? Thanks!
Have you tried a rice water Rinse for shedding? I understand if you do it too much it drys your hair out. So I do it 2 times a month and I get hardly have any shedding and My curls pop and hair is soft.
I can’t believe I’m here again after three years because of another big chop
Okay but like all that art in the background. Do you do that yourself?
Yepp!
Great job explaining the process of hair growth and retaining the length of the growth 💕💕👍🏾👍🏾😍😍

I do in five sections because pulling on the crown to fit into the four sections can make it weak and eventually break off.
That’s perfect! I do 4 and then create sub sections
