This is song is so beautiful but it's the way it makes me feel when I hear it that makes me love it SO MUCH. It's tied to childhood memories, thoughts & feelings. I can't describe it well enough.
He wrote, produced, sang all the vocals and played all the instruments on this classic double album.
BTW The Isleys Brothers did a SOULFUL version of this.
Todd produced "Baby Blue" for Badfinger & "The Locomotion" cover by Grand Funk Railroad (he's singing with them).
Also one of the ladies singing back up was Vickie Sue Robinson who about 4 years later had a disco/dance hit "Turn The Beat Around".

Todd is a rare talent. A great song writer, producer, recording engineer, AND plays many of the instruments on his tracks. The little girl in some of the photos is Liv Tyler, the actress. Todd's girlfriend was model Bebe Buell and is the mother of actress Liv Tyler (born 1977), whose biological father is Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler with whom she had a breif relationsip. Todd Rundgren is Liv's legally adoptive father. Liv knows who her biological father is, but Todd raised her and Liv calls him and regards him as her Dad. A reminder of the old saying that any man can be a father but it takes a special man to be a Dad.
Love that line: " Sometimes I cant help seeing all the wsy through..." wow. Remember when you first fell in love with someone, you could see the marriage, kids....
