Congrats on the sponsor, honestly want to thank you for the content. I got into plumbing after I left school at 16 and was one of the unlucky ones who either got used as labour or ended up working with bullies so I quit at 20. But watching these videos made me realise I do miss the trade and I am looking to get back into it, I’m 30 now but never to late as they say. Thank you PB
I don’t care what anyone says, being in our profession has to be one of the most stressful out there and we all have days when we’re miserable. Is it me or are customers getting worse as the years go on? 😂 Good on you for the honesty and congrats on the sponsor 👍🏻
Don't use continuity test on the multimeter on an air pressure switch whilst it's connected to the PCB, you'll destroy most multimeters. The Fluke is more tolerant, but you can see you're feeding voltage into the meter because of the negative resistance reading! Continuity tests should only be performed where no other voltage source is present.
When the nuts that tight to the olive and you can't pull it, I get a flat head screw driver between the nut and olive, gently prize the olive up just enough then get grips on it and pull as you would .. saves getting the grinder out etc
Your plumbing especially pipework is some of the neatest work I've ever seen! If people say different they're either lying or should've gone to specsavers!
My goodness, is there anything about boilers and heating systems you don't know? Your fault finding and problem solving is 2nd to none! Keep up the cracking video's 👏 👍! I'm also a plumber so know what I'm talking about!
I don't know what's more impressive.. how good you are at finding the faults or how good you are at fixing them with 1 hand aha! Great video yet again !
Great vid thanks PB. Annoyingly the threads on the Monument Olive Pullers don't seem to engage with most zone valve nuts, which seem to be finer than standard compression fitting nuts.
Pete I really enjoy watching your videos and understand your mindset having worked has a British Gas engineer for 44 years luckily retired for 7 years now had many days when I could have just thrown the tools away and given up but I hope you will keep posting your videos because even I am still learning from them Thank you
Another awesome video again PB, please don’t take those comments seriously in your heart, you know exactly what you doing, congratulations on your new sponsor, wishing you all the very best Jana
Hahaaa..... I know EXACTLY what you mean by nearly telling that guy to do one when he kept chasing for the sink to be sorted..... does my head in. Well done on the channel sponsor aswell Pete 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼
Another great video. Look forward to these so much. As for people saying about the lead pipe job haven’t they seen any of your videos (jobs ) haven’t seen you cut a corner or even rush a job. I think all your jobs you go the extra mile so as you do anyway ignore them. You know you will do a good job and so do thousands of others. As I said a great video well done
Top video pal. I like the viva fill valve but never used one but handy to know you can use it for side entry. Worth having one on the van. Like the little tip with the back nut too. Learn something new everyday!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Wow, I didn't think there was a tool Pete didn't own! Defs worth having an olive puller & splitter, both have earned there place in my van! Nice tip with the lead, amazing that works, appreciate effort it takes to edit the videos 👍
Another great vid m8, i really like the fault finding bits. Loving the fact we can now see where the probes go. I can never get where to put the black probe to prove the circuit. Hope you're good m8 👊
I've used tradify. It's good software for when there's more than 1 of you and you have staff. Downside is they don't do gas certs in the app. To book jobs in you need use to use laptop rather than app on phone.. I just wanted one app for everything. But otherwise great app
Great content again bud, I bought the solder bag you designed last week , really well designed & really well made. Great service from velocity aswell ✌️
@@PBPlumber I'm glad you said that! I'm a perfectionist and sometimes I make life hard for my self because of that. I'm glad it wasn't the case with you! I really appreciate the effort you put in to make these videos!
I did have to laugh when you said yep should be an easy job then turned into a complete bastard. Mate thats like most jobs i have to do on my house. Enjoying the videos
Great vid mate hope your smashing the gym ive just joined so trying to eat right, erm with the aps test on continuity can you test all like that i was scared would blow my multimeter as its 240
Hi mate, I went to a job the other day where the heating pump was on 24/7 even when the heating or hot water was not being called for.... I disconnected two zone valves and the cyclinder stat and it was still running. Any idea where the power could be coming from?
Hi pb long time follower learned plenty off your vids, I think it was your last vid you spoke about shutting down emotionally and don’t talk to anyone for like 1-2 months. Sorry to bring it up but I do this a lot also, like I just shut down and talk to no one for months go home and go to bed that’s all I want to do, I have no time for anyone. I only say this because I want to ask how you deal with this? I hate myself when I do it but no one else understands, I only ask if you know a way to break this cycle? I hate being a recluse for months. I also feel one time this depressed state will win.
Sounds like you need a help pal! Asking for help not something of being ashamed of. I guess you don't have a good friend who can pull you out of the hole. Look out for him or her. Or for an organisation. In my experience naturally we isolate our selves from everyone, but actually we need the right company and it passes quicker and easier. I hope it helps Pal.

I think that's probably one of the best explanations of 3ports and the wiring i've seen. It made a lot of sense to me anyway 😊
I "like" the videos before watching because you know there gona be good
Thank you James 🙏🏽

Really appreciate it when you write out examples and also draw diagrams. Makes things easier to understand. You should definitely be a teacher.

A master class in parts on this vid. I've just taken 3 lessons of the day from it.

Hi Pete can you tell what are 3 main parts of gas app appliance ps. I just want know

Probably the boiler pcb if it has a pump overrun mate. What boiler is it? I’ll have a wild guess it’s a BAXI solo as that’s a common fault on those
@@PBPlumber is there anyway to test that it’s the pcb? I can’t remember the model but it was about a 4-5 year old baxi
