- Ash Ketchum is very well known for all of the Pokemon he owns and his achievements within the Pokemon anime, but he has never appeared in any of the Pokemon games. The closest we ever got was Ash-Greninja as a gift Pokemon in the 7th generation titles, but besides that we never see him or get to battle him. But what if we did get to battle him within the main series Pokemon games from Gen 1-8? What if he had potential teams for each of the main series Pokemon games? Which of Ash's Pokemon would appear on these in-game teams?

*PLEASE READ*
Sorry about the lack of uploads for the past 4 days! There are two main reasons to this. 1, I haven't been feeling too well. Don't worry, no symptoms of Covid or anything but my body has been needing some rest so I've been taking it easy for the most part. 2, The other more embarrassing reason is... Well... I've become somewhat addicted to Among Us which I'm trying to break free from haha.
Well because of both of these things uploads have been slow and I also got this video up a day later than expected, but regardless I hope you enjoy! EntityMays' #NationalAshKetchumDay has been a massive success with the Pokemon Company even acknowledging it and making it an official day for the fandom! So be sure to take Ben for making this happen! Like I said theres plenty of Ash Kethchum content with the uploads from yesterday so be sure to check out the various different channels and videos!

Ash's Scraggy was pretty memorable in my opinion.
Ya, I hate Best Wishes with a burning passion but Snivy, Scraggy, and especially Oshawott were full of personality. If only they were in a better series.

Only just got past the Red/Blue team, but i would argue that Ash wouldn't have all three Kanto starters. Most people only have the one on a playthrough so wouldn't Ash also be limited to one starter per game? Say Charizard, which eliminates the type conflict for Kingler.
Considering Ash's OG starter choice would have been Squirtle in the anime, he would have gotten Squirtle in Red/Blue team.
What about in yellow and lgpe
I was kind of hoping you would go, "Well you can only get one starter in the games so, Ash only gets one starter" and then fill in his team with either other catches that fill the types he is missing or just Pokemon in the game.

Thoughts on certain choices:
RSE, XY, & ORAS Teams: Obviously
RGB, GS, FRLG, Pt, & B2W2 Teams: Makes sense
Y, C, HGSS, SM, USUM, & Let’s Go Teams: Surprising choices...but in a way makes sense
DP Team: ...Yeah ok I’ll give you that. Whether for Ash & Dawn, it was such a waste cause of what happened to Ambipom in the end despite THAT MAJOR EVENT.
BW Team: Yeah...I get why you didn’t ...but if you at least watched a bit more...then you’d know Unfezant is actually one of those who didn’t do good either. Despite a Bird or better yet a Flying-type has been a staple in an Ash Team, I definitely prefer swapping her for Scraggy...and yet...sigh...Unova Series is what I’d describe a waste of potential. In my opinion, that does include some of the Pokemon he has and yes, that includes Unfezant. Getting the Dex entries about females being better in flying than males, I feel like she could be fast like Ash’s Swellow (but not as fast obviously) BUT with style & grace like Dawn’s Togekiss...but instead, we got the one that couldn’t beat a Riolu...That’s why I have mixed feelings about the choice of Unfezant
SwSh Team: Maybe come back to this once the Journeys series is over AND when The next DLC is released

Have you thought about making a video about all the Pokémon Ash has hatched and raised from an Egg? There’s eggxactly five of them (that officially count).
Phanphy -> Donphan
Larvitar
Scraggy
Noibat -> Noivern
Riolu -> Lucario
I don’t count Froakie or Rowlet as he never encountered either of them as eggs and hatched them himself, just caught them afterwards. And... let’s be honest, All Pokémon hatch from Eggs, even Arceus, so nuances must apply.

Jack Frost to be fair, Ash didn’t keep the egg and hatched it. He found Nebby as a Cosmog, even if he was Dream Visioning Nebby’s Birth, I don’t count it for similar reasons.
Larvitar doesn't officially count though.
Nick den Toom Ash may have never officially owned Larvitar, but he officially took care of the egg and Larvitar as well after the Egg Hatched. So he counts by the arbitrary parameters I set.

His Sinnoh team is still the best in my opinion because its balanced, Unova and Kanto have a lot of options too but all those unevolved starters wont do much in game past a certain point
Maybe someone has mentioned this by now, but you can’t get all three starters without trading in any game except Yellow and the Let’s Go games. Giving Ash all the starters in any game but those doesn’t really seem right. He almost never traded and he caught all his starters himself.

I'd still like to see you do a Mass Effect as Pokemon trainers. I have Jack | Subject Zero's team if you want. And I gave her a bit of Fakemon but I can still do a true team since they were evolutions of existing Pokemon. On top of that I have a second selection given to me by friends. So if you wanna do a video on them I think you should.
P.S. I will help by giving you the characters' personalities as well.

Leavanny is the second strongest Unova mon behind Krookodile.
Charizard doesn't count on his BW team honestly, since Charizard was only brought back for fan service and came after the league as well, so i would choose Boldore.
I would give Ash Mudsdale instead of Melmetal, Mudsdale can provide the same tank support Melmetal those (And he gets at least one tank in every series anyways).
Mudsdale doesn't really make much sense tho. Ash has never had a strong relationship with any Mudsdale or Mudbray.
My favorite Pokémon that ash had in the TV show would be his Torkoal

He HAS to evolve Pikachu. He's intentionally handicapping himself by keeping it as Pikachu.
Even MandJTV had to replace his Pikachu with a Zapdos in Pokemon Yellow because it was too weak.
Raichu is just waaaay better. Sure, his Pikachu is abnormally strong, but I don't believe evolving would make his stats worse. If anything, it would probably boost his already extraordinary stats.
If Pikachu was mine I wouldn't let him in the team against major battles. I wouldn't want a team member who won't give it their all.
Plus, the main reason for Pikachu not evolving is because of marketability. It's only masked by excuses of wanting to be better *as* a Pikachu. Wanting to improve *as* a Pikachu doesn't mean you can't improve *as* a Raichu. The reason is more financially driven so I'm not as easily swayed by emotional scenes artificially created by the studio to reason out Pikachu's desire to stay unevolved.
You clearly either don't watch the anime, or don't understand how the anime works. A Pokemon's stats in the games have NOTHING to do with a Pokemon's power in the anime. Pre-evolution does NOT equal weakness. Pikachu has beaten multiple Raichus, and many of Ash's other Pokemon have beaten their evolved forms before. Just because Pikachu is weak in the games does not mean that it's weak in the anime. SURE, Pikachu would be much stronger as a Raichu, but it doesn't NEED to be in order to be strong, and that's obvious. Pikachu has taken down multiple legendaries, it doesn't need to be any more powerful. Let's be honest, would it be exciting in any way to see a Raichu destroying everything with one attack? No, it wouldn't. I'm not sure if we're watching the same anime, but Ash is NOT handicapping himself by keeping Pikachu as a Pikachu.

@@Wheeler07 I know how strong Pikachu is. He's holding Ash back by not evolving because he's not being the best he can be. He can do better, but he choses not to.
Sure, he doesn't need to evolve because he's already strong enough, but imagine how many more battles would've been easier if Pikachu just evolved. Sure Pikachu has beaten Raichus, but he would've beaten those Raichus WAY easier if he was one as well.
"Pre-evolution does NOT equal weakness." I know, you can beat the entirety of Pokemon Emerald with only a Mudkip. Pre-evolution does, however, mean that you're not fighting at your best and you can do even better.
If I were to battle someone in, for example Tekken, I'd be insulted to know that my opponent was only playing with one hand against me, when he can use two(assuming he's not amputated or something) no matter the result of the battle.
Lastly, "Pikachu would be much stronger as a Raichu, but it doesn't NEED to be in order to be strong, and that's obvious." yes, Pikachu IS strong, unbelievably so. He has my respect for being that strong. But Ash rarely wins championships, and Pikachu is NOT as his "strongest" to help Ash with that dream.
@PanFriedNoodles That's a lazy explanation as to why Pikachu won't evolve. Just because GMAX Pokemon can't evolve in the games, doesn't mean that they can't evolve in the anime.
But Pikachu itself just doesn't want to evolve,it wants to be stronger as a pikachu. Pikachu even ran away from the thunder stone in the recent Pikachu-episode. Ash knows and respects it.
