Trace making it all the way to S-tier was bloody wild. Marowak really pulled through against incineroar. Jokes aside, Geeta just raw-dogging her way to second place without items is awesome. Guess that’s what having two protect options and reaping the benefits of powercreep does to a team. If you want a topic, it would be cool if you went through every champion and competitively optimized all their teams by mixing and matching their best Pokémon and moves based on all their appearances(including masters) and ranked them.
Honestly I feel like a good follow up video would be to rate the champions on their potential based on all the Pokémon in their roster. If they’re the strongest trainer in their region and they were told they were going to participate in a doubles tournament beforehand, then they should have the ability to prepare a strong doubles team with the Pokémon they have access to. They can change moves, abilities, stats, and items, but they can’t go out and catch a new Pokémon.
Never played a sun and moon game so I never knew what hau has on his team (or even him being the champion? I thought it was the sexy professor) so I'm decently surprised he actually won
Something I noticed. Especially when it’s been said that Nuzlocking BDSP can be a pain because of the crazy difficulty spike. It’s mostly the same team but the items and such are actually pretty tough. Even with cheesing and using Manaphy my first playthrough I remember it being actually pretty tough to win
Despite Hau only having three moves on incineroar, that decidueye set is definitely what got him to S tier. Tera grass decidueye running that set actually won the irl Pokemon VGC Mariana Trench Championship next week.
I was EXTREMELY pleasantly surprised during my first playthrough of the indigo disk when I fought dreyton first out of the 4 of them. he's got the EQ + flying combo, the rain + swift swim combo, and the rain + electro shot combo. my partner and I decided we weren't going to overlevel (at least not by too much) and only use indigo disk pokemon (that we liked, not that were actually good), and we had a surprisingly hard time against him. as I remember, our reuniclus with calm mind, recover, and psychic was what pulled through at the end due to its sheer staying power. it really didn't help that we were using an empoleon as well which had basically 0 switch ins and no real damage potential on his team either.
"[Peony] gets whatever the bad version of a silver medal is" ...I am leaning heavily towards telling you that this would be a bronze medal but you do you :D
When you were talking about Blue, the symbols in Machamp's Superpower and Stone Edge are twisted. You put rock in Superpower and fighting in Stone Edge. But the video is great, congratulations! I am only surprised that Hau managed to win the whole thing, very unexpected.
Paldea is flipping weird for this since they treat championship as just like... a rank multiple people can hold. Nemona *absolutely* is following the "is holding back" trend despite being a champion before the game even starts, and Geeta seems to just always be the top ranked champion no matter what.
@@MoxieBoosted I more meant the part where she's a champion before the game even starts, and decides to "start over" metaphorically and train up a new team to be your rival: She's still a champion, even when facing you with just a level 5 Sprigatito/Fuecoco/Quaxly. Yer right that her end-game team she's says she's not holding back anymore, but she *was* holding back for the vast majority of the game, despite being Champion rank herself, hence the weirdness.

They can change moves, abilities, stats, and items, but they can’t go out and catch a new Pokémon.
holy cow I can't believe Hao won A rank
Where’s Ni and where’s Ichi?
(Ni Hao. Idk the pinyin)
(Ichi, Ni, … {Ni as in 2})
San shi go fuuuun
Hau being S tier because of having incineroar is hilarious
Damn that decidueye from hau is supringly powerful and I think even better than all of cynthias teams combined
*(dies of very minor spelling mistake)*
Never played a sun and moon game so I never knew what hau has on his team (or even him being the champion? I thought it was the sexy professor) so I'm decently surprised he actually won
I know kakui is the champion in sun and moon and hau is the champ in the ultra games. It was entirely to make me seem more surprised
I knew hau was goated
Thumbnail goes hard man.
Also I'm really surprised that Hau did so well, didn't think he'd get past Cynthia and Kieran like that.
This got me curious, what evil team leader has the strongest comp team?
Episode RR Giovanni, probably.
Subbing just because you said good things about Let’s Go! Which deserves way more love. Also a great video (:
Wow I can't believe hau won this, that decidueye must have done wonders for him
I feel Cynthia could've moved up alittle if you used her BDSP final team. They all have items, EV/IV trained, and with competitive natures
The fact that Red cheated to get a Blastoise with Water Spout and still was surpassed by Hau is insane.
Personally, I would like to see where other generally strong trainers would rank in this tier list. Characters like volo, proff.Turo, proff.Sada, etc.
Volo: _Pathetic._
Hop (Zacian): Hello there
Despite Hau only having three moves on incineroar, that decidueye set is definitely what got him to S tier. Tera grass decidueye running that set actually won the irl Pokemon VGC Mariana Trench Championship next week.
God i wish the games has an option you can toggle so gym fights, elite 4, and champion are turned into double battles
I always knew Hau was one of the GOATS. His team is so good at dealing with opposing threats, especially with Primarina.
I need Cynthia to look at me like that ngl
Ong she can take all my pokedollars and I'll still feel like I made a good purchase 😭🙏
...You two are downbad.
Man, Hau winning was a real surprise! But I appreciate the breakdown you gave of him!
Hau that high is crazy
Honestly it’d be a pretty interesting vid to go thru each of these teams and see what u could do to optimize each one with the mons they’ve got
Finally some respect for my boy Hau!! Glad he is on the top of the chart, he has the best Competitive Team!
he has three moves on his incineroar and no intimidate
"[Peony] gets whatever the bad version of a silver medal is"
...I am leaning heavily towards telling you that this would be a bronze medal but you do you :D
Bronze is 3rd place (3rd best) though, not 2nd worst on the list😅
When you were talking about Blue, the symbols in Machamp's Superpower and Stone Edge are twisted. You put rock in Superpower and fighting in Stone Edge. But the video is great, congratulations! I am only surprised that Hau managed to win the whole thing, very unexpected.
Paldea is flipping weird for this since they treat championship as just like... a rank multiple people can hold.
Nemona *absolutely* is following the "is holding back" trend despite being a champion before the game even starts, and Geeta seems to just always be the top ranked champion no matter what.
She says in her dialogue she isn't holding back
@@MoxieBoosted I more meant the part where she's a champion before the game even starts, and decides to "start over" metaphorically and train up a new team to be your rival: She's still a champion, even when facing you with just a level 5 Sprigatito/Fuecoco/Quaxly.
Yer right that her end-game team she's says she's not holding back anymore, but she *was* holding back for the vast majority of the game, despite being Champion rank herself, hence the weirdness.
Tbh you surprised me with hao being at the top of this list, that decidueye is really working wonders for his team
