The Bee Gees are the deepest Rabbit hole. Enjoy Emma 😊
This song was The Bee Gees contribution to UNICEF. It has raised more than $10 million for UNICEF since they performed it in 1979.
UNICEF. The child trafficking headquarters
I have a hard time believing you have gone this far in life without hearing the BeeGees ever ?!
The Bee Gees had the best harmonies in the business. Emma!!! 🥰❤️😍💘💕
Bee Gees, CSNY, The Eagles, Simon & Garfunkle, and others.
I think so too!
True!
They sold over 200 million albums and wrote over 1000 songs.
WOW!!!
I just listened to the BeeGees for 12 hours straight on ITunes on random play. Every single song written by them. Every single song beautiful. Every one. I only stopped because I fell asleep. They are one of a handful of people/groups that I can truly enjoy every song. BeeGees, The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, The Moody Blues, Doris Day, Sarah Vaughn, Linda Ronstadt, Al Green, The Carpenters… Gee, there are more than I thought! However, The BeeGees are phenomenal.
I did the same thing!
SAME! BeeGees for Midsommer?!!
You just named 2 of my favorite artists, Linda Ronstadt, The Moody Blues. You have an excellent taste in music. And the others were high on my list
Bee Gees' Nights On Broadway live performance from the Midnight Special is fantastic and features Barry's incredible chest voice. Definitely a must to check out.
That's the kind of harmony you can only find with siblings.
"music from the previous century"..... godammit....... I'm getting old. But I am very grateful that I am old enough now to have been young then. The music of the 70's and 80's is still being sampled today. It was the best time for music ever.
Some of the best slow dancing songs ever. The 70s are the best memories.
They are brothers. They had a younger brother that had his own career but he met an untimely end. The only one still alive is the lead singer in this track.
They do have names. Andy was the youngest, Robin stood to Barry's right with Maurice on the left. When they were live it was Robin centre as he never played an instrument unlike Barry on guitar who stood to Robins left and Maurice who played keyboards and guitar to Robins right. Also the Bee Gees name comes from their surname Gibb hence Brothers Gibb or as they are known Bee Gees.
They actually began performing in the 50s Emma. Among the best-selling music artists of all time, with an extensive catalog of great music...
And their harmonization. It's unreal
We grew up with the BEE GEES sounds , music , creativity .... Nothing comes close to them ... never , Ever ! 🤩🎶🎤
If you watch and hear the video of them singing the superb "Fanny, Be Tender With My Love" you will hear Barry's lower register and the ethereal Robin's fantastically moving voice.
Their natural vibrations are exquisite.
best group in history with incredibly diverse syles over decades
Their singing is just effortless, beautifully done...
Yes, it's falsetto. Barry tried it for fun and the producer said wow! You should do that more often, and they did. Most songs on the Spirits having flown album are beautiful like this.
Gold standard harmonizing
That was the music I grew up with. So glad you got to hear it. The Bee Gees sang together since they were kids. Few groups can harmonize like they do.
Robin on the left was Mr Vibrato. Barry in the middle was Mr Falsetto. Maurice on the right was Mr harmony. All brothers.
The BeeGees ruled the disco dance floor! ✌
Wow!! It’s great 😊
And when the backlash against disco hit, it hurt the Bee Gees more than any group. They couldn’t sell and ended up writing and producing instead for a lot of other artists and did it very successfully….Dionne Warwicks Heartbreakers, Kenny Rogers and Donny Parton’s Islands in The Stream, Frankie Avalon’s Grease and Celine Dion’s Immortality.
@@Stephen.McMillan little correction: Franki Valli's Grease 😅
Their voices are beautifully blended together it sounds like you’re being serenaded by angels. One of my most favorite songs.
I grew up with this great group & had a lot of their albums. Most people react to their disco era. My favorites are from the 60's-70's. Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "Holiday", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "The Singer Sang His Song", "Lonely Days", "Melody Fair", "First Of May", "I Started A Joke", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Massachusetts", "To Love Somebody" etc.
Beautiful song..There were three tracks of Barry on each of three parts in two octaves, so that’s eighteen tracks of Barry. Then, three tracks of the three brothers singing together. ... they are absolute geniuses and kings ...FAN4LIFE.. keep going down their rabbit hole ❤
"Night's on Broadway " live version
Yes, live on "The Midnight Special" performance. It is a great live performance of them singing "Nights On Broadway".
Bee Gees had two careers. Mid to early 70’s soft rock & 70’s leaders of Disco. This is disco era Bee Gees.
They had huge success in the late 60's,,,
As you probably know: in English, we can pronounce the letter 'G' in two ways: the more common one being in words like 'give' and 'get', but the other way to say it is like a 'J', like in words like 'gem' and 'giant', well in BeeGees it's the second pronunciation we use for the G, so it is pronounced 'BeeJees".
BeeGees name is the acronym for Brothers Gibb.
Staying Alive, Inside out , More than a woman. Are just a few of their hits
Gosh how do you choose the best Bee Gees songs? Alone, For whom the Bell Tolls etc etc. I've been listening to the Bee Gees since the 1960s and still loving them at age 74 ❤
9 number one hits and 35 top 40 hits to be exact.
If you watch the accompanying video of "Alone" it shows Home Movue clips from when they performed ay 8 years old upwards:)
Welcome to the world of the brothers Gibb!! And they compose all their music! Plus all the hits they wrote for others.
They are all amazing but Maurice the one with the bald patch is an absolute genius , multi-instrumentalist .
Barry's falsetto is awesome only way to describe it!
very deep rabbit hole! Give us more please!
Barry is one of the few singers who can sing perfectly in key in falsetto.
All 3 brothers actually.
@@Zlata1313 Yep!!!
they are all brothers, Berry Gibbs ( in the middle) is the oldest and Robin and Maurice are twins... the name Bee Gees is a play on "the Brothers Gibbs" - BG- Bee Gees..
This man in the middle is Barry Gibb. The oldest of three brothers. If you want to listen to his lower voice you should listen to "Nights on Broadway" from the year 1975 😊 Please, more Bee Gees!!! ❤❤
Love Barry’s chest voice!
They are brothers, who have sang together for years.
When Barry starts singing love the smile on the females
The chair goes well as it's got the Isle of Man emblem on it. Isle of Man is where Bee Gees were born
God bless this song, tears me up. Love it.
You Should Be Dancing live includes Andy as well. It’s just fun!
Bee Gees' Nights On Broadway live performance from the Midnight Special...You can hear a contribution from all 3 brothers! Please, you won't be sorry : )
Though TMS is a great performance, I would suggest the original studio recording for Nights on Broadway.
One of Americas best contributions to the world ❤
The Beegees are british! From the Isle of Man
@@albarn100And grew up mostly in Australia.
@hqlion wrong. Barry spent most of his childhood within the British isles. He arrived in Australia when he was nearly 12 and the twins were nearly 9. They only lived in Australia for 9 years before moving back to England.
BeeGees, John Travolta, Saturday Night Fever = Disco.
With a career that touched six different decades, you've got more than a few choices for a follow-up. I would recommend something from the 1960s catalog, either How Can You Mend a Broken Heart, or Lonely Days.
Start early and progress through their career - that would be a good journey. But the two songs you suggested aren’t 1960s - they’re ‘71 and ‘70 respectively. 😉
@@jeffhensley6929 I stand corrected. Thank you.
@@jeffhensley6929 it's out of print now, but we have their CD titled Brilliant From Birth, which is a lot of their late 50s early 60s recordings when they were adolescents and teenagers.
I'm going to a bed gees concert in the after-life when I get there
They also wrote a song for Celine, "Immortality", & accompanied her in it's recording, & wrote a whole album, 1980's "Guilty", for Barbara Streisand, which included the #1 hit, "Woman in Love"
(Celine also sang the beautiful "I Believe in You" w/ the classical multi-national crossover male quartet, Il Divo. -- definitely worth a listen)
Amazing Voices Amazing Song Amazing Bee Gees ❤❤❤
Interesting to compare this with the 60/s70s R&B group The Stylistics, whose lead singer also featured a strong falsetto. Try "You Are Everything" or "You Make Me Feel Brand New."
The Bee Gees were always good!!
They are!
The Bee Gees were born on the Isle of Man, but they spent most of their childhood in England and Australia.
Brings joy and Happy tears to see younger pp enjoy this great music that I grew up on!!!❤😂❤😂
U are so exceptionally beautiful! Absolutely stunning!
The kind of music you used to dance to with that special someone. When you use all the techno wizardry available today, to make music technically perfect, you lose the feeling these artists put into their music, creating art with the little imperfections in their voice’s. In my opinion the 60s and 70s produced some of the most talented artists of all time.
In the disco times , the Bee Gee's was very popular , there always a song from them in the Disco club with a big ball of mirror in the center of the dance floor .
My late wife was a disco queen.
They were a Super Group for years beginning in the early 1960's...all have passed except Berry the one in the middle.
They are Legend's !
You're Beautiful!!!
💪🏼❤️🙏🏼🌟🌹🦚🤩😍😘
BOTH MUST HEAR Classics,, The Bee Gees "I've Gotta Get A Message To You" & "I Started A Joke"...Please TRUST ME on these my music lovin' sister!! ❤🔥
one of their most famous songs..one of the most famous songs of our time, actually.
There harmonies were just as tight live .
Well, now you gotta do their brother ANDY GIBB.👍🍀
🇨🇦 Want o see some Magic ? If you react to their song "You should be Dancing" then 3 Bee Gees brothers will turn onto 4 brothers ! 🇨🇦
Barry in the middle , Maurice on the right and robin on the left the fourth brother was Andy. Barry is the only one left
This is one of THE Most Known Band's in the Western World!
[The BeeGee's -Brothers Gibb]. Barry's, in the middle is the eldest & the other two are twins, all had/have amazing voices!
These guys have made billions of dollars over their singing career & still are. RIP Maurice, Robin & Andy Gibb.
Yes they've been successful, but hardly billions!
Actually there are 4 Gibb brothers, namely:
Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, Robin Gibb and Andy Gibb.
One of the live performances by the Bee Gees is entitled One Night Only.
Thank's.
Their best concert IMO is "One for all" in Melbourne - 1989" IMO. The "One night only" was far from their best but is the most known.
Me encanta ver las reacciones y comentarios a estos cantantes con un talento increíble
This is my favorite Bee Gees song.
You are listining to one of the most Prolific Song writing Trios in History... and one of teh Biggest Groups ever...
Google them. brothers started band in 1958. yes they can sing deeper voiced. barry in middle is oldest. other 2 are twins. and andy is alot younger. all dead but Berry. they wrote 1,000 songs. barry still sings some. they write the music first then come up with the words.
The Bed Gees have written a phenomenal amount of songs for other artists like Celine Dion and Barbera Streisand. In fact there's a website called Bee Gees by numbers and it gives a list of artists who they've written for and artists who have covered their songs. It's like a who's who of the music world.
I always liked the Bee Gees, but this was one of the few songs of theirs my mom actually likes. They harmonize very well I think, in particular with this song.
That’s his voice always
So beautiful!!! And the song too 🤪
😘
one mic, no auto tune = live performance. great vocal talents - solo but amazing harmony with all 3.
This older music is really beautiful, as well as you Emma ❤
Knew you'd really enjoy this. They were so talented.
My favourite Bee Gees song has always been I Started AJoke.
They also wrote songs for other artists. Check out Chain Reaction by Diana Ross. A great song criminally overlooked in the US.
They wrote all their own music. If you want to hear their “natural” voices, try NIGHTS ON BROADWAY, from the. 1975 Midnight Special. That’s a live version.
That’s the most beautiful smile I’ve seen on you. I had to say. 🌹
The Bee Gees WERE the soundtrack of the '70s.... nothing like the harmonies of family.
Welcome to the 70s. The Bee Gees were not formally trained
You're amazing Emma. Great reactions everytime. 🌹❤
love you~~beautiful~~emma~😂😂😂😂
All trained as children and whoever did it, Bravo!!
3 brothers, unbeatable.
You know Bee Gees wrote and entire album for Streisand and there’s a famous duet video of Barry Gibb and Barbra
Barry co-wrote Barbra's entire album, the twins helped write half of it. And yes, Barry & Barbra's two duets in her '86 backyard concert are excellent!
2:38 Yep...that's the look LOL
They were known for their falsetto voice from Barry, but he always said that their youngest brother Andy was the best singer of the family.
That may be but Robin will always be my main man. ❤
Barry never said that. And Andy most certainly wasn’t the best singer.
He once said that of John Farnham, that he was one of the greatest.
@@michellepearce5278 I'm growing a lil crush on him every time I see another video/song! They all have amazing voices. All attractive in his own way. Now I need to go check out Andy!
Oh may goodness. You've opened a can of worms here...Wait till you hear Maurice's voice on it's own...
to know his vast range listen to older songs like Fanny be tender with my love, to love somebody, how can you mend a broken heart then staying alive and night fever
Love IS such a beautiful thing. ❤
You should hear The Bee Gees sing “Tragedy “
You need to listen to their songs from the 60’s… New York mining disaster is a great song 👍🏻
Check out their medley from their "One for all" tour. It's absolutely awesome and shows their amazing talent. Before this son the Bee Gees already had six platinum albums, all without falsetto. But packed with 3 part harmonies, awsome melodies and great vocals. They wrote all of their own songs. They adapted their music to the suit the era. Barry Gibb, is in the top five of most successful songwriters. It is well worth to take a deeper dive into their vast catalogue.
Their live version of 'Nights On Broadway' is reaction worthy.
Listen to their earlier songs, they have been performing since they were children, because they are brothers. The all have a lower register as well. They are all super talented please explore their catalog of songs which spans 4 decades.
unique song, a treasure from beginning in the late 70's
I saw a comment elsewhere about the Bee Gees, todays artist sing love songs about women. The Bee Gees sang love songs to women.
Bee Gees is pronounced Bee Jeez. He is using falsetto. The harmonies are perfection. They started on tv as children.
