Sometimes, newer fans don’t realize that the “BeeGees” are 3 brothers. Maurice and Robin are twins (the shorter two). Barry, usually in the middle and taller of the three is the older brother. BeeGee’s…..or BG’s, stands for “Brothers Gibb”. Their last name is Gibb. They had another brother named Andy who passed away years ago. Sadly, Maurice and Robin have both also passed away, leaving only Barry left. This was one of the greatest performing groups of a wonderful era. You should listen to more of their very extensive library. Every song is perfectly performed. No auto tune for these guys.

They also have an older sister who did sing with them in their early days, but decided it wasn’t for her and 4 brother Andy Gibb but much younger than all of them became a forced to reckon with all on his own sadly, he died at 30 years old, and of course the twins have passed their sister still alive. Mother and father have passed on… rest in peace..
Amazing family of talent, every single one of them !!!
Barry has been married to the same lady for 50 years. That’s impressive as well.❤️
They wrote songs for Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Dolly Parton, Samantha Sang and many more songs through out there the people have no clue that they wrote…

In the day, I came from a Country music background and many country fans and many hard core rockers would belittle the Bee Gees music (seems laugable now that we all did this) - many held a grudge for their influence in popularizing Disco - but as I have aged and seen changes in music and now free of gendre lock-in, I am amazed by the Bee Gees! I think this song could be one of their best. Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb wrote this track with "Tragedy" in an afternoon off from the making the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band movie! Amazing talent! They wrote Islands in the Stream! Which ws a big cross over hit for Dolly Parton w Kenny Rogers - and their talent in force from the 60s thru 70's into 80's was undeniable - Its great to sit down now and listen to them and be in wonder of how good we had it as far as music is concerned back in the day - we had been spoiled ;-)

Just came across your channel by accident, but happy that I did. First, good luck to you and the channel.
Now, regarding the Bee Gees ... you likely have heard some of their hits but may not have known it was them singing. Some other comments below mine have already mentioned several of their tracks. These guys were one of the biggest bands in the 70s. Barry Gibb (the main singer there in the center) is the king of falsetto. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the "standard" people compare that vocal tone against ... or at least one of them.
You are correct, no auto tune. That didn't exist until ... like the late 90s? Early 2000s? This is just raw, pure talent. Oh, and another thing you should go back and watch it again. You will see that all three of these guys are just relaxed singing the song. Barry was like swag personified in his day. Him just rocking to the music, thumbs in his bell bottoms and then casually leaning forward to sing. I mean, come on.
Anyway, I wish you nothing but success!

This is pure talent. Please react to more of their hits. There is a plethora of songs to choose from. This was recorded to support UNICEF, which is a children’s support organization. They donated all proceeds to this cause. So far it has made over $10 million dollars for the charity.

I am 60yrs old and I grew up listening to the Bee Gees. They are all brothers. The two on the ends are twins, Robin on the left and Maurice, Barry is in the middle. He's the oldest. I have a great song for reaction to. Barry Gibb and Barbara Streisand and the song is called "Guilty"

I first saw the BeeGees on the '60's Australian TV Show, Brian Henderson's Bandstand. They had their first number one hit in Australia, then took off for international acclaim virtually launching the Disco era. These guys wrote around a thousand songs. So many great hits. Thanks for your reaction Maddy. Cheers from Sydney.

All 3 had spectacular falsetto ranges - though Robin (on the left) also possessed an almost ethereal vibrato to his voice. For the purest sense of their talent, seek out their "One Night Only" show. In the middle they did a medley of a number of their songs (and they wrote hits for others as well as all their own) with just the 3 of them standing around a single microphone (much like this video) and a guitar. During a snippet of "Knights on Broadway" there's a spine-chilling harmony with Maurice (the one on the right in this video) doing the falsetto and shortly after as they step away from the mic a little you'll notice Robin turn and give a nod "nice one" in appreciation.

Love it! Brings back memories of Disco in the 70's. I use to go to the "Hub Roller Rink" & later changed owners and renamed it "The Axle" in 1974. Then the Disco years came and it was a blast roller skating, meeting the girls and dancing on the floor. 1 Summer I got to be a rink guard on the floor. That was cool. Down the street a few blocks was the Drive-in movie. The best time in the 70's. My whole teenage years were in the 70's. In my early 20's into the 80's was also a blast as well......Thanks Maddy!

Some of the best songwriters in history. Not only for their own performance but massive hits for the likes of Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand, Diana Ross, Dion Warwick, Dolly Parton... I think Barry still holds the record for consecutive #1 songs. Michael Jackson loved to hang out and write with Barry. Old footage recently released.

Truth be told, Maddy... I was always a Rock & Roller from all the way back in the early 1970s. There were Musical Performers I liked who were considered ( Lite Rock and Easy Listening.) But never voiced my opinion to any of my friends who scoffed at my preference for Easy Listening music. This was one of those performances I always kept to myself and never brought up in conversation with anyone, but Barry Gibb and his brothers, really knocked this 1978 performance,
    " Out Of The Park."

@MaddyReactions No auto-tune no back wood tricks just straight up talent from the Bee Gees. Sadly though, the youngest brother Andy Gibb a great solo artist in his own right but not in the Bee Gees group, passed away in 1988 first then his older brother Maurice Gibb of the Bee Gess passed away in 2003 then his paternal twin brother Robin Gibb passed away in 2012 leaving only Barry Gibb the lead singer of the Bee Gees. Great everlasting music from an extremely talented family.

20 Years before Autotune, so real voices. The Bee Gees had hits in the 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s and 2000’s and not only for themselves. They wrote songs for most of the top artists such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Elvis, Barbara Streisand, Diana Ross, Olivia Newton-John, Yvonne Elliman, Tavares, Frankie Valli, Jimmy Ruffin and Dionne Warwick to name but a few. They wrote over 1,000 songs, are in the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Maddy, this was 1979...the Bee Gees 1st mega hit, and it was MEGA after the disco era songs....these guys are just too awesome, and the studio they are recording in, right there, is the famous Criteria Studios in North Miami Beach....they recorded the whole Saturday Night Fever album there. Barry still lives with his bride of over 50 years in their LA Gorce (the name of the neighborhood in Miami Beach) mansion....it's beautiful !!!! I live in a western suburb of Miami
