These guys sang together since childhood, without formal training. They never knew they could sing in falsetto voices until they recorded "The Nights on Broadway," Barry, in the middle could keep singing falsetto longer, and add in vibrato, which not many can do. So anything recorded before "the Nights..." was sung with their normal voices. Their music was all written by them as well, while they couldn't read sheet music. The theme from "Grease" the movie, is written by Barry, who wrote many hits for other top artists as well.

Barry Gibb has been making women melt for over half a century, and you are part of a new generation that’s experiencing the same thing your predecessors, as well as their predecessors before them, have experienced.
I once dated a guy named Barry. We were close enough to sleep together a few times. His having the same first name was a good coincidence. Made for no embarrassing moments during sex.
I love watching the reaction of the younger generation hearing these amazing vocalists that are pretty much non existent today. There are so many others out there for you to discover. If you want another experience listen to "Shining Star" by The Manhattans. Unfortunately, Barry is the only surviving brother from this group and dealing with those losses in his life. The only band today in 2024 that in my opinion has some truly has amazing vocals is Pentatonix, Mitch Grassi has the voice of an angel. Much love.
Barry Gibb, the one in the middle and oldest of the brothers has a great falsetto. It's kind of interesting to say that "it's his real voice". Of course it is him singing (and killing it, of course) but the word "falsetto" is Italian for "false voice". His regular voice is also very good and he uses it in some of their older songs like "Words" and "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart". Check them out too; you really can't go wrong with the Bee Gees.
Thank you for not stopping this lovely video. Barry the oldest is the lead and he discovered his falsetto by accident. The other two are his twin brothers, Maurice on the left of Barry and Robin on the right. They have been harmonizing since they were 9 and 6. Three pure voices, no auto tune (none back in the 70s) and no pitch correct. They wrote and arranged over 1,000 songs, some for other artists like Barbra Streisand, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross and Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers. The Bee Gees are the music I grew up with and I still love them today. Check any of their videos and even the newer songs and you will hear their amazing harmonizing. Sadly, Barry the oldest is the only member alive today. Maurice died in 2003 and Robin in 2012. 😥

Barry had such great 'Falsetto' control. He had back issues in the late 90s which made it hard for him to sing. Then the sadness of losing his brothers to different health issues brought about depression. I hope he's feeling better these days.
Oh mannn... I was a kid of the 70's. This song was sooo popular my brothers would play it whenever they went on dates with their girlfriends. Smooth and easy listening 🎶 👌
Andy Gibbs no doubt can blow his vocals remind me of Russell Thomas from the Stylistics, Russell may have the edge on Andy because of the way he plays with his notes, Till the Bee Gees we're the hottest group back in the 70's
Nice to see you back, the day is brighter with you in it. The Bee Gees were an awesome British band that had tons of great songs before they sold out and went disco, try reacting to their pre-disco era rockers and ballads like To Love Somebody, Massachusetts, I've Got to Get a Message to You, Lonely Days and How Can I Mend a Broken Heart, all superior songs to anything they did in the sellout era and worthy of being in a mix with The Beatles, Rolling Stones and the Kinks of that era. These are great songs and should not be forgotten, those guys were awesome songwriters in the late 60s & early 70s. Enjoy and good to have you back pretty lady! 🎸 Take care and be safe and well...
Imma play by play it for you...(before the starts) everything's normal. (Song starts) mood slightly changes, nothing major...(Bee Gees start harmonizing) eyebrows start to lose self control. (Barry starts his falsetto) eyebrows fully on their own, and independent of each other, they begin to move upward, and outward..(Barry takes it up a notch) eyebrows try and leave the face and take the mouth with them as the pretty lady's smile becomes upgraded and right before our right eyes pretty turns to sexy... amazing

It,s great to see the younger generation react positively when they hear the greatest harmony group of all time for the first time.
The album which this utterly beautiful song came from is Spirits Having Flown and it is my favourite album of the Bee Gees.
All without auto tune. Just pure talent!
This is my favorite song cause it’s my mom and dad song too me, to see kids younger than my 25 year old love this song!! It makes me feel so good
The most awesome, melodic ,and heavenly voices I've ever heard in my life.
Ditto!!!
Grew up listening to Bee Gees
bee gees are a beautiful thing
Goosebumps. I was 17 when this was a hit . Loved the reaction. Great pull
(Barry starts his falsetto) eyebrows fully on their own, and independent of each other, they begin to move upward, and outward..(Barry takes it up a notch) eyebrows try and leave the face and take the mouth with them as the pretty lady's smile becomes upgraded and right before our right eyes pretty turns to sexy... amazing
Welcome back.
Its comforting me to see young people love music like this and keeping it alive.
I hope you will do the same for the next generation. ^^
I with you so great to see so many young people really loving the music I grew up with and keeping it alive.
I'm 43 years old, and I love music from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, and I'm happy to see young people like you taking pleasure in listening to songs with the same quality as the Bee Gees, they represent what was good in the 70s/80s
All of them had beautiful baritones and can be heard using both the falsettos and the baritones in Fanny Be Tender. They did not know they could do the falsettos until years into recording. Cheers.
Love watching young kids discover all these amazing groups from the past. Makes me smile! Love you're reaction. When us old timers first heard them I'm sure we never reacted like that but we definitely knew they were golden!
