Those aliminum folding chairs are worth more than scrap $. People with vintage cars, VW's and trailers love them. Bundle it with an old cooler and picnic basket and you're golden $$$.

i am glad you said that about the stuff has most likely been gone through. we were thinking of checking into doing storage auctions but this one sort of changed my mind.

I used to own a thrift store that was attached to a storage facility. I just rented my space. I knew the storage workers of course because I was there most days. They DID go through a unit before placing it up for auction and would keep fine jewelry, gold, silver etc along those lines. They did not search everything super closely. so things did get through. I just suggest bid cautiously on units. There are always lots of people who bid way too high. I would score really well sometimes just by following that rule.

I would bet anything that a lot of the storage locker owners go through everything and take most of the valuables, then they get you guys to pay them for all the junk so they aren't stuck with the disposal bill!

Can't go wrong on a thirty dollar locker! That trolley should sell for close to that if you find the right buyer.

The storage locker company goes through the lockers before the auction for sure.
yes they do.. i live in the ny area and the newspaper detailed what was in the locker.. so i went to the storage place and they told me they have to go into the locker before anyone to determine there is no danger to the public before auction begins.

Check the price on those white shoes.. if their nursing shoes.. they cost a pretty penny
I had no idea they went in and checked out purses. I’ve heard of things missing from storage lockers. But you can’t pin it on the manager because you have no proof. The clothes and shoes and purses will pay for the locker and then some. I know you probably already know this but if you aren’t familiar with the brand of purses you can always Google them. The shoes that are faded glory are from Walmart. That’s their brand. Love the videos keep them coming makes my day I’m a shut in.
The wooden chairs appear to be vintage . 1920 or 30s . I use to have them . They last a long time until I got a dog. Very nice. Peace & love ✌☺👍💛💜💚💙.

$30 buck was a great price. The women shoes and purses could bring in more money than mens stuff. You will make good money off this locker if you sell it all yourself.

When you have stains on the fabric suitcases use aulsome spray sold for a $1.00 at $general works really well.

Paint over the grey paint on the table and chairs with black or navy blue. Only sell two of the chairs with the table at the flea market. It will sell faster than having three chairs. That aluminum chair might sell for good money on eBay.
These storage locker videos are bittersweet. Sad that people lost everything due to whatever circumstance, especially when children are involved, but good that people are turning a treasure hunt into profit...I suppose it's just life as usual. Glad you can get your money back and more off of other peoples losses.
Regarding your comments on open boxes, for the rest of the year there is a high probability that as people lose there jobs and shortly after they lose their houses/apts. the will go to their storage facilities and pick out what is valuable. But they don’t always get things.

Yes those bags were looked in . There should be a law or outside auditor to record the items for sale. Talk about being shifty. Good thing it cost only $30.00.
The law varies but in most places the owner can redeem their locker any time up to the point when the buyer pays (which is when ownership transfers). That would make it very risky to remove any goods prior to the auction. When a locker seems to have been picked over it is at least possible that the original owner went through to remove any items of value before defaulting on payment.
@@MrPaulMorris Wouldn't they just take the wallet/purse, or what ever it may be rather than remove contents only? Just asking, not trolling. I think it's the workers at the storage facility...
@@douglasscott5623 Having solicited more informed feedback from female friends and relatives, I'm reliably informed that they would always empty a purse or handbag before putting it into storage because, of course, all those empty lipsticks, fluff-covered mints and lightly used tissues are essential parts of their daily lives... That's not to say that things don't get left behind--so it's always worth checking--but realistically, what is left behind in most cases will just be those used tissues.

Just wondering if anyone else yells out loud while watching these vlogs. Stuff like "Don't pick it up that way or it will fall apart" or "Don't throw that away, it's worth xyz!". Wanna know if I am the only one trying to communicate to Mr. Stacks by yelling at my phone. Was secretly hoping that you would find a $20 sitting on one of those chairs or $30 dollars in rolled quarters in that tote. That gas can spout is worth it's weight in gold. Old style rules!

You have a couple hundred dollars worth of clothing there. You just have to be patient and wash it, then list it on ebay for $5-$10 and it will sell really fast. Also, that table base and those chairs can be sold at your flea market or on Craigslist. Well over $30 in that locker; you just have to put in the work.
