Our discussion includes what is basically a play-by-play of the entire fight, that we breakdown and try to make sense of ourselves along the way. Actually post mortem nen or nen after death is not a new concept, it was introduced in York New City where Phinks explained to Killua and Gon that they cannot kill Kurapika because he has used his chain (Judgement Chain) on Chrollo forbidding him to use nen and making contact with the Troupe members. He revealed that they are afraid that Nen after death will trigger if they attack Kurapika and severe Chrollo since post mortem Nen are mostly fueled by intense emotions such as revenge and hatred. This also appears in the Chimera Ant where Pitou's ability continues to activate despite her death to attack Gon out of pure emotion to protect the King Ant. This current arc is where Nen after death goes to the forefront and contribute directly to the narrative and you will see these new abilities that ties with Nen after death. The succession war itself is a product of nen after death.
