This arc has a lot of moving pieces and it can be overwhelming on the first readthrough, but each subsequent readthrough I do, the pictures becomes clearer and clearer and I feel like this is some of his most refined work yet.
Your point about there being too many names is totally valid, but I feel as if Togashi never punishes the reader for forgetting a minor character's name and provides reminders throughout the arc to refresh our memory.
Moreover, I think that the sheer number of characters, each with distinct names, character designs, etc. allows the arc to feel a lot more believable and immersive. I don't think we are expected to remember the names of every background character, but rather, understand the goals of all the factions involved, and they feel purposeful but only time will tell.
I would also strongly suggest checking out the Kurapika one shot if you haven't already as it provides key info on Kurapika as a character and is integral to the current arc, especially the Troupe backstory you discussed in this episode. Chapter 102 is a must read as well for similar reasons.

@@jaydesai2707 Very well said. Thank you so much for commenting, I’m sure this will spark a good conversation next week. As for the last part you said; we will be covering both of those in next week’s episode. It just won’t be as in-depth as these episodes were. I’ve personally read all this before but I’m gonna make sure Dylan knows everything he needs to for what’s to come. Thanks for listening!

    - Kinda confused on the take on the shipping routes not being important. Seems very important. I read that as an indication that last minute additions(Items and people) will be arriving on the boat 4 days later in the story. It's a countdown to something/someone's arrival communicated to us via a mundane conversation. Also the cut-off point where the BW is truly isolated from the Human World's interference sans a Knov style nen ability some group had prepped ahead of time to escape or an emergency.
The final blimps to arrive are also the last normal way for anybody wanting off the boat. I don't see why after stealing the Kakin's treasure or whatever Illumi is truly doing, they would want to stay on the BW. Also a possible option for people on Kurapika's side to leave. Kurapika thinks if one prince could get away it would end the condition of the Urn ceremony; A blimp is better than a boat to escape. When fighting breaks out it's also a potential way to get civilians off the BW. ALSO tells us that after 4 days whatever happens on the boat, help isn't likely coming.
    - Feiten speaks in broken Japanese; like a first generation immigrant. He doesn't talk normal in the anime either.

Love this. You are exactly the type of person I was hoping to attract with this channel. In hindsight it is strange that I decided to disregard that section, considering the fact that I covered everything else so thoroughly. I worked on these plot summaries over the course of a week, so I might’ve just had a different mindset that day.
Not sure if you’re a new listener or not, but for the time being, we are reading and responding to every comment we get on the show. There will be much to discuss with this comment, so thank you so much for writing in and we hope you stick around for next week’s episode!

But feitan was with the phantom troupe in meteor city even as kids? I’m not sure if he’s an immigrant, that or his speaking skills apparently never got better as a kid which feels inaccurate. Practicing as a kid is the best way to master a language.
Edit: I realize he barely talks at all in the flashback, so that might explain why it’s poor. 🤔🤔🤔

There's a Hisoka Backstory one shot by Sui Ishida(Tokyo Goul author). He is a very big fan of togashi

I'll keep it real. it was a little hard to follow along at certain points of this episode. But I get that there was a lot to cover, so still great work guys! excited to see what comes next . also I agree that tserri's guard isn't really a new faction but it's weird because it also kinda is 🤣

@@FinalFormKeith I appreciate the honesty! To be totally transparent, I really struggled with like every step of the way with this episode. It’s nice to hear that it’s at least not completely incoherent lol. I expect that we will be able to improve a lot going forward, now that the episodes won’t have as much homework involved. Thanks for the support as always!

@@brolybroncile6283 We’ll be talking about that next week. Not as in depth as we did these volumes, but I’m still going to bring it to Dylan’s attention.
