Austin didn't lose the IC title. He had to give it up to the tournament winner because he was injured. He threw the belt into the river when The Rock wanted it. It's one of the most memorable angles on Raw.
Triple H and those bookers/ story writers need to really build other wrestlers instead of always putting everything into " Judgement Day" and " The Bloodline ".
Gunther, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Chad Gable, Jade Cargill, Ilya Dragunov, Bron Breakker....should I go on?

Triple H is a lazy writer who just fills TV time with boring wrestling matches as a way of avoiding having to write entertaining segments/vignettes.

Bron is the best thing going for the WWE right now. He’s a second generation wrestler who has a technical style that can still work in this era of acrobatic indie wrestling. But WWE will mishandle him because the people in charge haven’t got a clue how to push him.

The counter point to this argument is this: in the old days, if they had great wrestlers but who could only give average promos-- they had managers speak for them.
WWE, for the most part, has abandoned the manager concept. Paul Heyman ,as ECW booker and mouthpiece for Lesnar and the Bloodline, he proved it still works! Who else? The former Lana, manager for Rusev! I think one reason why Vinnie Mac abandoned it is for the same reason he didn't like Tag Teams-- he was a cheapskate! But like Tag Teams, fans like good managers!

I dont always agree with Vince on things but hes right about the problems.
I came back last September when The Rock teased his match vs Roman on Pat's show. I want to stay and love it again but its hard.
I feel like these guys are trying to down cut Attitude era as we saw from Cody's interview and Austin's comments. In my opinion it's a jealousy over the fact The Rock brought back many viewers and exposed the weakness in the current product and attempted to usher in what many of us want.
He succeeded until he left and Triple H went back to his own bull sheet. Some stories that do good I feel hes less involved in possibly.
Jey was built up but losing to Gunther was a bad idea. Nia Jax was the most watched segment and fans are behind her yet Liv Morgan beat her prior and many of us complained that it wasnt even believable. They want to Cram her down our throats and will give her Becky's title. She has a following but it's some who follow for many of the wrong reasons. So I get why they wanted her to beat Nia and Nia had been great about putting people over but I'm tired of it being at the cost of her own deserved run which has been ongoing a while now.
Piper also deserves better story.
As a woman I feel that those two get cheated because they dont weigh 100lbs.
Jey is really carrying crowds and selling a lot of merch. I did have some critiques about his fight with Jimmy at WM but I think part of it is their old tag team partnership. Jey deserves a push though. Having him lose that match was a poir choice and it was a poor choice to have him fight him even. With his critiques from WM he needed some matches to showcase his skill not a loss to Gunther in his big build up.
I want to like Gunther but after the Sheamus ordeal and now the Jey stuff it actually makes me dislike him. Do I think hes talented? Yes but I I didnt like what they did to Sheamus or Jey for him.
Liv was never someone I liked but asking me to suspend belief to think she really beat Nia is ridiculous and Nia deserves better.
The only interesting thing I find in Liv was her and Dom but again that's all just to likely prop her up to beat the other great one after Becky, Rhea. Can Liv stand? And at what cost to the other women will it be?
It says a lot when on the show with your so called Champions Logan and Cody they cant even match the viewers that's Nia and Jade got, Randy and bloodline segment came in second on that show as most viewed behind Nia and Jade. Their current top male champs came in last in viewers when they signed a contract to put their belt on the line or not.
Cody is constantly insulting the attitude era, The Rock and wont even admit he sabatoged his match with Roman despite it literally being in the public domain all along and now having more definitive proof including his own words.
Then he attempts to claim they are more popular but when was 6million people viewing the current product?
Its dillusional and alienates fans who were hoping they would carry on some of what The Rock brought back.
He thinks because they charge a much higher ticket price to less people that somehow equates to better. No Cody it does not. He should concern himself more with how to keep what Vince calls the Casual fans and turn them into every week fans. Do not sheet on the ones who paved the way before you. He should view the ratings and see the major decline and know his role and shut his mouth.
I love how he liked to quote how the ratings boomed last few months of last year. Hes right they picked up a bit after The Rock promoted his fight with Roman and made his first return. Vince Mc selling also helped the ratings boom some. The bloodline story also was a factor.
Triple H is so busy worried about his power plays in a company he is an employee in then creating stories that not just current fans will love but old fans and new.
In fact it feels like Cody may be rubbing off on him as he seems less story driven and more like AEW according to many.
I think they are seeing what a Cody Championship too soon is like. He sabatoged his way to a championship match (least anyone also forget his comments last year against The Rock he then walked back)
I dont personally know anyone who did not see What Cody did to Rock vs Roman as a straight up sabatoge and that angered many fans who returned to give the product a chance. But hey he's your champ who isnt even pulling in ratings paired with the other top champ. Cody needs to stop his "Cody lies" he likes to tell on people and own up to his fake face and bs before he further sinks the product
All the fake smear stories planted isnt gonna cancel him we are the millions okay. Even this channels writers repeated some of them like the one saying he was holding up the documentary which turned out false. How about the ones claiming Rock stole his match again proved false but no retractions are done just smear smear smear.
Who plants these stories to this team and others? Considering the conferences are fake and only softball questions are asked it's quite clear.

He worked for WWF from 1992-1999. He became a writer in 1996. The point is he acts like none of these cliques ever existed in his time in wrestling. Not to mention BSK was very much around while he was writing.

This was around the debut of Smackdown and he cracked under pressure. That was his job, not to work less hours just because he can't manage his free time. Everybody in the business has families but they make it work.
