Former WWE Head Writer Vince Russo makes a big statement in this edition of The Wrestling Outlaws, also featuring NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3 and Dr. Chris Featherstone. He is of the opinion that Shane McMahon potentially wants to purchase AEW on behalf of his father. This is because very few people would want to do business with Vince McMahon, feels Russo, considering his current legal standing.

This is lame. Tony Kahn isn’t selling AEW. Shane isn’t talking to Tony Kahn. Stop making up BS stories just to make a YT video.
The only way I see it happening is if Tony Khan is trying to pour cold water on the rumors to keep it a surprise. And I definitely don’t think Shane (or Vince) are trying to get any sort of ownership in AEW. But Shane McMahon would absolutely provide help to AEW as an on screen character. Especially as an on screen authority figure. If Tony Khan wanted to turn a creative page and shift into a new era in AEW, what better way than having a member of the McMahon family show up on Dynamite and be the new “kayfabe” owner of the company?

After all the allegations against Vince in recent months, no one in business will work with Vince. But I can foresee Vince being a silent partner funding Shane's version of AEW.

Yeah Shane and Vince somehow buying AEW would not help them with WWE.
If Shane bought AEW, with his knowledge about the business and his Pops behind the seen booking… within 1 yr they would be selling out arenas and in direct competition with the WWE. AEW barely sells out half the arenas they’re in and current booking in AEW is on the downward slide.
Shane McMahon has no resume of doing anything like that. To think he's some prowrestling savior is false.

If it was strictly about putting on excellent matches and keeping it about wrestling less entertainment, they wouldn’t make any money to sustain itself. So it just like WWE & TNA a circus act to entertain!!! And when you can’t entertain on a TV National and International level you loose money and eventually close or get bought out. ie Jim Crockett Promotions NWA, WCW…
If someone ever does another invasion angle, the 3rd man should be a fallen baby face that is dedicated to feuding with that faction. And the faction itself should prioritize influence and control of the title over loyalty to the titleholder.

Maybe he's not buying it but he's hiring him to be the face of it and run it. Imagine the young bucks are having a match. They win the match. They're walking to the back and then the music hits here comes the money. Shane comes out and then he has 2 people jump the young bucks and announces he's now runing the show.
Creatively I don't see Shane making much of a difference but controlling the backstage and getting the show under control I see him making waves there. Depending on how much power he yields he could bring in some people to work on the creative if anything, appoint a good booker. Show runner and booker really need to be two different people. Kahn is showing us anything, he can't do two jobs at once as well as run a Football and Soccer teams.
Shane isn't a good businessman so he would destroy AEW.

I don’t see Shane going along with this. He seems quite content in his current life, and this is just people trying to get interest in the piss poor AEW product. Talking poorly about AEW on RUclips might be slowing down, even the ultra fans are seeing the profit in it, so it’s a saturated market. If there are insider moles within the AEW company that are still loyal to Vince and Shane, they can get the inside track on getting the Kahns to possibly sell aew not definitely. Always thought growing up watching (WHEN IT WAS WATCHABLE; 1997-2005), that Shane McMahon would take the reigns and be that Mr McMahon chatacter. Then as I stopped it looked lik Triple H was and then he had that heart incident. Shane to aew would be the biggest thing since he showed up on Nitro, But BIGGER because it would be REAL.

But you have to remember that WCW during 2000 was an unorganised mess, and no one could agree on anything or get along.
TNA was booked reasonably well during Russo’s second stint booking for TNA, until Pritchard arrived in TNA in 2010.
Once Pritchard got to TNA in 2010 everything went south.
I would say Russo is better than Pritchard, Modern Vince McMahon, Hunter and Tony Khan.
Pritchard is fucking awful, but Pritchard is better than Modern Vince McMahon, Hunter and Tony Khan.
So it goes Russo > Pritchard > Modern Vince McMahon > Hunter > Tony Khan.
