This really shows the cycle Cyrax goes through, the tweaks they make to him make either one of the objectively best characters in the game or the absolute worst. I still love him but man he’s the one that you just can’t win inbetween

Cyrax is one of the few characters in UMK3 that can punish jump kicks on block (with air grab). He also has an air grab infinite in the corner that looks funny. His strings are kind of bad (the kick string and bLP ender string have bad gaps). You didn't mention this explicitly (however its really easy to see in your clips), but MK3 Cyrax has no damage scaling present after throw. They added the damage protection for it in UMK3.
Imagine you're hiding in a secure safe house, protected by bodyguards and mercs, then cyrax come in and drops a 32-hit combo with a laser net, and blows the building with bombs.
Another gold standard MK video, love the Competitive History series! Mustard did a great job as well! A character I'd like to see the competitive history for is the sneaky double dealing sorcerer himself, Shang Tsung!
I can't think of Cyrax without thinking of the 2013 EVO Grand Finals between REO and DJT. An absolute masterpiece of unbalanced jank colliding with unbalanced jank.

Watch all these, do love them. But realistically what we basically have ALWAYS meant is "is this charecter completely broken or not, cos MK has almost never been a good competitive game really". But still love it!
Even though I've never been anywhere near a competitive level player. It was only when you mentioned it here, that it dawned on me how Cyrax weak actually was in MK: DA. All this time I thought I just wasn't good enough with him.

I loved human cyrax (and sektor) as a concept. It showed what they were like pre cyberization. I could see why Sektor was in such a hurry , he was clearly lagging behind everyone else. It be cool for both of them to return as DLC but have Cyrax be Human and Sektor be a cyborg (with reverse skins too!).

I love the Yellow Robot ninja Cyrax he always visually looked good always cool tragic backstory nice place in the lore even tho recently hasn’t been used as much always is a beast competitively if used wisely combos is god tier with the signature bombs and Green Net of death it’s just broken but has also varied over the years

I hate that in Mortal Kobat Deadly Alliance his Net (fireball) has been removed. It's really cool to see when he stunned his oppponent with Net like Scorpion with spear.
Cyrax is a powerful character relatively easy to play. With reset combos (mk9) you can beat up opponents in a few seconds. I really enjoyed this video.

That grab infinite was crazy hard to set up so I never could replicate it in video form :I
