Loved the B Model. I used to drive a B Model boggy drive in North West Australia pulling a three trailer road train, either cattle or general freight in the Kimberly's when I was a teenager in the late 60's. Spent a lot of time gear changing of course. Sometimes had 100 ton up behind that thing on dirt outback roads
The B61 was a styling masterpiece. It looked like a dog! I've loved these things since my youth and I'm 67. I especially love the sound of those B's that had air starters. Mad Max would have been proud.
Seeing that time clock brought back a flood of memories of watching my dad's morning routine of putting in the paper disk, logging it and locking the case before he left. Good memories.
Emil You like me ever since I can remember, I ALWAYS been diggin the Mack B model They're just plain COOL , awesome videos always! Thanks for sharing, keep on keepin on !!
Brings me joy to see soviet tractor in the US. Never saw one, equipped with forklift before.. Love the variety of your collection. (mostly the engines)
Used to drive the B model Mack back in early 60`s. Had to be a hunchback to fit in it. It had a duplex transmission and the mechanic heated the 2 sticks so I could shift it with one hand, using my palm to split the gears. It was a real tank but got the job done. Great video and my compliments to you for keeping the old iron going.
It is a beautiful b61, wish I had one, pity me l live half way across the world from that Beauty.Too old to migrate,,any way those rigs always keep me company at night in me dreams... ❤❤❤❤❤.
Badass man. Thank you for sharing subscribed. I’d like to see more on your welding lead spools to get an idea on how you made them. Very cool trucks. Utilizing old technology is flipping sweet in my book. Thanks again
Awesome man, we ditched cable years ago. RUclips videos at the end of the work day! Love learning from RUclips ! Would love to watch your builds. Two good video makers I have been following to learn from is goonzquad for there builds and there editing format. Also Andrew camerata for his camera equipment and his hard work ethic! Hope to see more videos from you. Kevin murano, Connecticut!
Wow, bad ass Mack, I always preferred a Mack, drove a 1988 Biscayne model Mack, 5 speed, she didn’t like hills but on a flat highway, she tore up the road, she was the fastest rig in the yard, never broke down on me, mechanically, came to work one day, and she was transferred to another terminal, bummer. The owner of NEMF had several restored Mack’s, nicely done and a mint green interior, real nice!!
Excellent work! Maybe crank up the welder someday!! The slant 6 is great!! It must be a '60s vintage Hobart? Keep up the good work! You're an inspiration to me!
Love the old B models. At one point you shut the door and the solid sound was amazing. I had one and it did the same. Transmission? Single stick, duplex, triplex, quad? I have a ‘46 Dodge 1.5 ton truck and I also used to have a ‘80 W900 A model KW. Keep it up!
I love learning how you start carbureted trucks. I wish you would not edit out the full startup no matter how hard it is: and always film it from inside like this!
I see that your from PA you need to bring the Mack to the Mcungie truck show in the spring and to the Mack show at Gearheart machinery in Litiz PA in October
Hey man I love to learning about your 1946 Chevy dump truck and your 1957 Mack b61 and your 1976 Kenworth w900a could you please do more videos on them in the near future I would be looking forward to that
That has to be one of the coolest weld rigs in the world man. Im about an hour north of you. I have a auto repair shop in Oil City. Man im really good with electronics and shit with cars / trucks. You ever need something lemme know. Fast Eddie's Diagnostics & Repair.
I'm retired after 45 years on the road, when I was in my early 20's I drove a couple of B-61's, they were very cool and not antiques at the time lol. My only problem was I'm 6'1" and they have a very cramped cab for someone tall. I enjoyed the hell out of them though. ;-)
Great video man. I would like to know the size of material you used of the old Mack floor build. Because I have an old GMC 9500 truck that I want to put a floor like the one you put in the Mack. Would also like to see more on the kenworth as well. Thanks for the update. 👍😎
Kenworth has the small 350 cummins. Engine work on the mack?!?!?! Fuck.....That's a story in itself lol! Make this short and sweet. When I got it, suppose to add a battery and it will start up. Every fuel line was rotted, I fixed those, went to start it, I had a stuck valve, bent push rod. And one valve was hardly even there it was so old and rusted it was about half the size it should be. Sooooo yea everything on the engine sucked. Oh and the injection pump plungers were all locked up and the injectors were all junk. So lol. Hope that answered some questions. Now, runs smooth.
What kind of visor is on the Mack ? I do like the 46 Chevy as well. The foot pedal starters are cool OLD school. The clock/tattletale box is rather cool. Do you plan on keeping it in the Mack?
Hey man I got a question? May I use a few screenshots from the video when you redid the floor in the cab of this Mack? I am getting ready to post a video of the floor in my GMC showing how bad the floor is and what I am wanting to do to my truck. Thank you for your videos and time.
Andrew Tauke some had airbrakes. Some didn’t. And I don’t have my cdl. In pa you don’t need a cdl for airbrakes. You need it for weight class. Which anything over 26k pounds u need it. But it’s basically recreational so don’t need cdl. It’s a gray area. People will say u do. Some say you don’t. Every cop I asked didn’t have a answer. So I just left it at that.
@@95Cummins2500 I drove a 1988 Biscayne Mack 5 Speed when I was an LTL Driver, she didn’t like hills but man on a flat highway she tore up the road, the fastest truck in the fleet, never broke down on me mechanically, blown tire perhaps, I wish I took pics of it, dammit, I came to work one day and she was transferred to another terminal, damn!
This is absolutely perfect. Loved watching the build. If you're on Facebook. There is a page called. Vintage Truck Marketplace, you'll see tacagraphs on there. I picked up 2 for my old rigs and they work like a charm. You don't see much torsion bar suspension on 70s trucks. Some old rig collectors might be interested in the torsion suspension and axles if you've thought about selling them.
Does the Mack have the Maxidyne or the Thermodyne? Does it have the Tri-Plex Quadruplex or the Duplex trans or is she the 5spd? We had a B61 up @ Kalani Honor Camp. That was the only prison that allowed us cons in the Garage Work Line the opportunity to get our Type 7 license, our Mack pulled a 8,000 gallon water tanker.. Last question you gonna leave it a Rat Rod or are you gonna paint it?
leaving it rat. cant repaint something with that much work under her belt. Actually non of those transmissions. Has a unishift transmission....made by mack..and Thermodyne. 673
Hope you make more videos and not so many slideshows. like to see you spray the bed you built with maybe some spray bed-liner under all the things you put on it. maybe even the floor of the truck also. I wonder what color you are going to paint the truck?
I drove a 1958. B61 Duplex transmission. 2 sticks a 5 and 2 for Sindall Transport in New Holland Pa. in the mid 60’s hauling New Holland machinery to Canada and Hay for the back haul. When are you going to paint the B model?
Very nice rigs. Any issues with getting tires or having the tires changed with those locking ring wheels? I have a 72 F700 with them and no one wants to mess with them any more.
Wow.good old truck
Very cool stuff! Glad to see people keeping and fixing up the old iron.
A classic rig, for sure! Thanks for your restoration, the Mack deserves it...
I also like the '46 Chevy 1 1/2 ton dump truck, and would enjoy this adventure, too. I also learn on every video.
Prettiest truck from that era hands down, still working too, nice
Lovin the young ones bringing back the ol school trucks and keeping them alive....

I love the video as well. Lets see the engine of the Mack. Restore that 76 KW! I was born in 76, nice truck like it is.
B- model Mack’s were the prettiest trucks made
They also kicked ass as fire trucks in numerous countrys!

MHFtractor 1/4 diamond plate for the bed of the truck.
