In an '85 small bunk Freightliner. My step mom's idea. My Step brother and me were both 13 at the time. When my daughter was 10 I got to take her on the truck as often as she wanted. Disposable cameras are great. Get a case. Let the kids have fun. She's still got the pictures.

Thanks so very much for sharing your truck with us! I have fond memories of seeing these trucks working everywhere when I was a young kid in the sixties and seventies! There was construction going on around my home because of building of I-55, new homes and apartment complexes. I loved the sound that they made and the Bulldog hood ornament! To me every truck was a Mack truck!
When I was a kid in late 50's and early 60's , these truck were everywhere ! I miss seeing and hearing them ! Thanks for the trip down memory lane ! My dads first truck was '59 Brockway , they were based off the Mack. Ours had Cummins 220 though, I miss the Mack sound !

Baby Skiddle is an awesome truck. B model Macks aren't huge (kind of like driving a 1940s vintage car) and would make great restoration projects for those who'd want to do a truck rather than a car. With so many B models built, body parts shouldn't be all that difficult to find if needed.
2Speed rear 😲
Your B Model does not have the Twin Stick Maxadyne Transmission, is that a 2 speed rear shifter button ? Or is a Road Ranger High/ Low Transmission Shift button ? I drove a B 61 single axel Tractor in 1974, pick up and delivery of Rental Trailers and storage trailers for a leasing company. But it was the Single Axel Tractor model, with the Twin Stick High/ low Mackadyne Transmission. Nice to see the old girl running.
Its a 5 spd with a 2spd Eaton rear. Actually ordered that way from Mack. I'm hoping to get a new video out in the spring with a walk around and description of the truck, Stay tuned :)
Nice rig. But what's going on with the clutch brake? Worn out? And some friendly advice: try to float the gears instead. Your left leg and the counter shaft will thank you.

@@madtack that’s cool. I was beginning to wonder before I commented thinking it was gas before hand. Usually that I know of the gas jobs usually had a 2 speed rear end but I guess you can order it with the diesel too which I didn’t know. Cool video. 😄
Believe it or not I remember when there were B Models everywhere I looked. Then came the Beloved R-600. A friend of mine had a one that he hauled chemicals with.
