WOW! This is a rare find! Thanks for sharing! I watch and listen to all videos of Linda Ronstadt! She is a global musical treasure and a wonderful human being!
Linda is about 47-years-old here, and I think she sounds great. She said she did not find her voice until the Nelson Riddle collaboration. I am diggin' what she found! We love Linda!
Been rediscovering Ms. Ronstadt's magic since recently seeing the documentary out now and reading her memoir. Watching gems like this and listening to recorded performances in small and large venues spanning all four decades of her career, I marvel how she never ever just "phones it in." She respects the songwriters, musicians, the audience and herself too much. Her talent is rare indeed, but she truly inspires all of us to do the same with whatever gifts we possess and in whatever venues we perform! Thank you for posting.
Cynthia! In anticipation of her 74th birthday on Wednesday, I'm revisiting my favorite performances. Just left "I Keep It Hid," the one you experienced live! Enjoy these 90's performances so much as she was still healthy, so content and confident as a singer, and had a little girl waiting for her home when returned home. Off to watch her sing "Oh, Baby, Baby" with Smokey. (Love that Andrew Gold accompanied her on this trip.)
Lorraine Liberti So good to hear from you again...of course, “I Keep It Hid” is one of my all time favourite songs of our beloved Ms. Ronstadt. This one including, “Adios”, “The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress”, “Shattered”, all composed by Jimmy Webb, are all right up there on my list. I’m pretty sure that on Wednesday, her family and lifelong friends, will be with her for her 74th birthday. I read somewhere that she’s never really big on doing anything for her birthday but considering her health issues, her loved ones will certainly not let the day go by without at least a little family get-together. Here are two links in case you haven’t come across them yet on RUclips from her “Frenesí” album. And even if you had seen them, guaranteed you will enjoy them again. I love these two videos particularly on “Entre Abismos” for she’s really having a great time singing and dancing. ruclips.net/video/MmCw6OVPLiM/видео.html ruclips.net/video/k7ldf9koTSM/видео.html Take care and be safe as ever... GOD BLESS. Cynthia
Gorgeous pipes on her still in '93. She had all the expression, all the nuance, all the power, the range and accuracy as in the 70's. I hear some breathiness in her sustain which is shorter than she used to do, but that comes with age. Her voice is still bright and sharp and she is bullseye on the notes, no slurring. Love her voice.
I could tell she was having trouble hearing herself on the last song because she kept covering one ear so she could hear herself (old choir trick) but she was still spot on with every note in spite of it. She's just perfection!
I love all the older singers like Linda Ronstadt. They had 'real' singing voices. Like Ms. Ronstadt said herself, "some of the younger singers of today do not enunciate". That's why it's so hard to understand them. Obviously, they were not taught how to sing properly.
No matter how many times I hear these she is great. Needs more recognition. Even tho she doesn't think so what an Rtist we had to listen to. I listened to her at the e d of the documentary singing with her nephew and cousin she can still get a little out if she tries. Loved it all she wanted was food. Xx
I can imagine what's running through that guitar player's mind "Omg, Omg I'm backing LINDA RONSTADT! Don't fuck it up! Please got, don't let me fuck it up!"

But as soon as anyone has an opinion, or is different from you, the true hypocrite comes out. Get the he!! out of here. You're lucky this is virtual cause it would be much more than words if you pulled this crap at one of her performances.
@@fabtastique believe me. I am the kind of man that Willie Nelson once said, the kind that falling in love with her every time when I hear her song. I am not in any way to play her down. Like Sinatra, Linda's voice in itself was a musical instrument.
Just can't stop listening to this. Her voice just takes you away some where. 😍😍😍😍
Yes, takes me somewhere, i am so lost in her. It is just an unbreakable spell.

God, even in this setting with a house band, she just brings me to tears. Missing you like a limb, sweet Linda.

Always perfect, every note done without excess, with the same range and power she has always had.
So admirable both physical and voice ... elegance perfectly shown on her...
Daily i've found myself praying for you... begging GOD to return back your golden voice...

J Burke Indeed. The clarity is so special - her voice is love.
Her voice was pretty fantastic up to the day she retired, even with the beginnings of Parkinsons. She's beautiful her

She's so talented, one the best singers ever. Wish I could have seen her in concert.
Yep agree she could have sung a bit longer . But thought it wasn't worth it to the audience to pay to hear her.

Those pipes! What an awesome voice! 💞💞💞
“00h Baby” there’s no one like Linda. Powerful pipes that are magical. Nice to see these Linda songs popping up on my phone. Cannot get enough!
Yes Nancy so many great memories. Playing albums over and over. Seeing her in concert. Wonderful!
Just spotted that Andrew Gold came along for the ride! Gosh, they shared so much music and so many memories.
One of the best musicians I’ve ever heard rest in peace Andrew
Linda, Simply the best. Ever.
she was almost 46 in this video...still sounding GREAT with a house band and looking like a 'hott" middle aged woman

It couldn't have been easy for her to perform in that setting, with a hired, local house band, but her immaculate vocals still shine through.
Yes, unfortunately, this band definitely didn't sound right, especially drums is too light.
The " music" is not loud enough at certain times, and stalled at other times, Linda actually had to work harder because of this. jmo

I would be. Glad to sweam into thé blue bayou with you.thank you...David from Paris...
No one better than our Linda!
Yes... it's true...
Beautiful. I am perplexed by one element. Seen her in concert many many times. At some point she began using a teleprompter to remember lyrics.

Not a fan of her ‘90’s look. She looks like a lawyer instead of a pop star.
She was 47 here, you can't expect her to look the same as she did when she was in her 20s and early 30s.
Who cares what's she's wearing. That's so trivial. She's Linda Ronstadt! Her voice is pure perfection. ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
