Very true. I do not blame John for replying the way he did -- after all, it was the 2000's, lots of such slurs were being thrown around a lot by teenage boys like him, so he "went with the flow". If John went unchecked and continued with the type of responses he posted in the beginning, we would be watching a documentary about another lolcow. John learned a valuable lesson by his dad stepping up, monitoring his son's social media, and properly disciplining him. Through hard work, patience, and politeness John shaped his channel into a way for him to make a good, honest living after learning that lesson. John's dad was a parent and not a best friend. He didn't care about hurting his son's feelings or if his son might be mad at him. He parented. It's hard, it's messy, and it is sorely lacking in today's society. Kudos to John's dad and John for doing the right thing, responding the right way, and being all around good men. I'm a proud new subscriber to Reviewbrah.

"He didn't care about hurting his son's feelings or if his son might be mad at him." Because constantly putting your child down emotionally, or making your child hate you, is a reflection of genuine poor parenting. Johns father put his foot down and did what had to be done BECAUSE he cares for his childs emotional wellbeing. The pinnacle of cool is to be yourself and not give a damn what other people think. Most are terrrified of actually doing what they want for fear of others' judgement, so they hate those who aren't. And the juxtaposition of old fashioned dapper dress and reviews of 21st century junk food is kinda brilliant.
Love Review Brah. The guy is just a breath of fresh air. I don’t even care about his reviews, I’ll never eat any of the food he eats, he’s just great to watch.
As a Floridian I am proud to say he is one of our finest representatives. He is so wholesome and genuine and pure and I do believe he is either a time traveler or a ghost, maybe an alien trying to fit in with humans.
His style is impeccable. His narration is professional. His channel is wholesome. His reviews are informative... Truly, for such a 'niche' concept, Reviewbrah is undoubtedly the king. Great documentary! Cheers!
It's nice getting feel good documentaries every now and again. This lad reminds me of a guy I went to highschool with who also appreciated older styles and the fancier things, and just doing what he enjoyed. Letting young people be themselves and enjoy what they like (within reason, as all things should be) leads to a kinder life

I think Jhon is everything Amber wants to be. He's funny, geniue, does food reviews, people notice his quirks, is viral and knows how to troll properly. The fact that he hides such a potty mouth makes him so much more precious.
That definitely explains his name. I couldn't picture him saying 'brah' in his reviews. Anyway, glad to see he's doing well and didn't let the negativity get to him

Back in the early 2000's My uncle was big into police scanners as well, he found the code for the Burger King drive-thru I lived a block from and we could listen to people ordering their food. One of my earliest memories of my Uncle.
It goes to show how easy it could be for someone without an actually strong support system become a lolcow type dude. Like, had his parents just not cared at all, he likely wouldn't have ever stopped responding so absurdly to negative comments and never had had the time to reflect on how he was behaving in the first place. Imagine if someone like Amber ever had a figure in her life that actually put their foot down and told her "no".
Its a common thread it seems. Lack of support, immature person with unrestricted access to the internet, feeding the negativity. Its the recipe for a lolcow. Imagine if Krystle's family put their foot down and said stop the YT or get out of our home.
Sad fact most people need a support system. The people who can go it alone and make something of themselves without someone there to help is small. That's why I hate there is really only 2 types of people. "You can't do anything anyone who makes it is lucky" types. Or the "you don't need anyone or anything anything but making it is just an excuse you just didn't try hard enough or want it" we're incredibly complex creatures with a vast variations in how we individually react to the situation around us.
His suits and ties always make my week. Being one of those who has to wear a suit to work, I get the look. After a few years in career, I realized that most new suits are just poorly made and started buying suits at estate sales and getting them cleaned, tailored, etc. I've been wearing those classic suits from the 40s to 60s for about 10 years and almost every day someone asks me how I afford such nice suits...LOL...I just tell them I buy them from estate sales and they can't believe it. Secondary benefit of browsing estate sales has been picking up some great furnishings before antique "dealers" can jack the price up.
This is so wholesome and fascinating. Whoever picks on this guy has a boring and miserable life. Who would have thought 100 years later that dressing nicely and speaking proper would be ridiculed like this. This really shows the decline of our society. Being gross is now cool, while being a gentleman is ridiculed.
I wouldn't be caught dead in a suit but I see so many people wearing clothes several sizes too big. Ironic considering he likes baggy suits but they're made with that design in mind while most are wearing clothes meant to fit close enough. I only wear t-shirts and jeans but you bet your ass they fit my frame.
I absolutely winced when he said he landed on his tailbone on that 12ft drop to concrete - I just cannot imagine the pain, ooof. John is a wonderful human being, so wholesome, so down to earth and not afraid to be himself.
This was very well done, im glad he is finding his own way through the RUclips stuff, sometimes his videos are recommended and they aren't bad to watch. Sometimes you just got to do what you love to do no matter who tries to talk bad about you.
@@justkiddin84 Yeah especially given what Elliot Roger did and how selfish and weird he was. Reviewbrah is just a quirky guy who likes old suits and food reviews I think hes very pleasant to watch.
Omg, a RUclipsr who actually had a parent, be a good parent?! 🤯 He’s so wholesome, I hope he is never involved in any insane mess 🤞 SN: I can’t see him dressing any other way, he was born to dress like that ☺️
Im autistic and love his channel, i dont know if he is or isnt, but i can see why people would think he was, honestly purely because hes just openly himself even if that is unusual to others. I wish it didn't have such a negative connotation to others and to him because even if he was, there's nothing wrong with that! People just see people who are different and say it's autism and use that to be derogatory to that person and to people with autism and it makes me sad, we're not a catch all term for 'people it's okay to make fun of' it's so annoying! Who cares if he is, he's the only one who needs to know that and it doesn't justify people treating him poorly if he is or if he isn't. Its surprising to see his early comments clapping back at people, but he was so young and being attacked so much for such innocent stuff i can hardly blame him, its just unusual to see him not composed. I'm glad he got his channel back and continued. He seems much more comfortable with his audience, he doesnt really interact very much and think thats for the best as there are lots of nice genuine people, but there are so many mean people making weird comments giving weird faux compliments that theyre hoping he'll read and not realise its making fun. He doesnt seem to entertain it these days though. I cant beleive people were going as far as saying he would be the next elliot rogers, just becauee hes a little different. Just because he wears a suit and speaks in a formal manor. Hes really done nothing wrong at all, and people are so cruel to him, hes not even THAT weird, he literally just wears older clothes and had a formal/almost transatlantic accent, thats IT. Thats all he does and people are so cruel about it. It baffles me.
auDHD & also really like his channel 😁 spend so much time in neurodivergent-positive spaces almost forget how some strangely consider the terms to be negative
I mean, he isn't entirely wrong, people, the majority of them at least, don't want to learn anything new, or learn about past stuff like Short Wave. The fact he dropped from 2000 to 300 views is proof of that.
I find him so calming and pleasant that sometimes when I have insomnia I put his videos on to help me relax. I don't even eat fast food, I just watch him for his delightful ambiance.
Never knew this guy's story (especially the trials & tribulations) although I did see him on Tosh. I'm actually surprised to hear that he struggled so much woth trolls because he was BY FAR the most self-aware subject of those features when he'd have memes or cows (we didn't have that word then) on to tease them a little but also give them some space to be funny or likeable. Tosh was good at finding where the people were at and would tailor the bit to their strengths or idiosyncrasies. If the person was a disaster, Tosh would play straight. If they were self-aware or at least fancied themselves entertainers, they would. This guy was the best straight man ever on the show. I guess he's really come a long way during his time on the Internet!

Thank you for the journey :) I had seen him, but never really watched him. I have an appreciation for these types of creators, sharing things that they are interested in. Putting yourself out there is harder than it should be. Being anonymous has made cowardly hateful people "brave". That can be difficult to deal with at any age, but especially so young. Good for him.
I've watched his videos on and off over the years and always liked them! My husband is a ham radio operator, started almost exactly the same way as John did. It's good to see him continue to do what he enjoys, in his own unique style.
I had only seen a few clips of him here and there and he was always overly serious in them. It's so refreshing to see the vulnerable kid who took his hobbies to the world. He always struck me as someone who was just living his life and doing what he wanted. It's sad to hear the bullying that he received. It's great to hear that he faced up to his mistakes even the little ones. Good luck to him. Hope he's doing well.
I saw this upload and I honestly had to force myself to watch. I was scared that A: I was going to find out not great things about someone who seems like such a wholesome person ( an unfortunate trend) or B: you were going to bully him. I am SO relieved you gave his channel justice. Great documentary! EDIT: I'm removing thought B based on watching historical videos after this ( sorry I only watched this one and the James Charles video) the term bully is not accurate. I guess I was afraid that I was going to find out shitty things and hear an honest review. Still stand by this being a great video.

Had never heard of this guy, and was so scared it was all gonna go south. SO glad it didn't and he's doing wonderfully. What a beautiful soul, please continue to make videos like this 🙏🏽 ❤
The pinnacle of cool is to be yourself and not give a damn what other people think. Most are terrrified of actually doing what they want for fear of others' judgement, so they hate those who aren't. And the juxtaposition of old fashioned dapper dress and reviews of 21st century junk food is kinda brilliant.
What a gentleman! What exquisite table manners! And so well-spoken! He's a delight. 👍🥳
Love Review Brah. The guy is just a breath of fresh air. I don’t even care about his reviews, I’ll never eat any of the food he eats, he’s just great to watch.
I’m SO glad this guy didn’t turn out to be a jerk. My faith in humanity is restored.
As a Floridian I am proud to say he is one of our finest representatives. He is so wholesome and genuine and pure and I do believe he is either a time traveler or a ghost, maybe an alien trying to fit in with humans.
John seems like a very big brained guy. He reminds me of my own son, who’s about the same age. This was truly wonderful. ♥️♥️♥️
Same! I watch him occasionally and I’m like, is this dude my kid’s twin!?! Not that I am biased. 😆They would most definitely be friends.
Is your son on the spectrum
@@narutofan4545 Why would that matter either way?
@@smugandsmarmy that's what I thought
@@narutofan4545 Then why would you ask?
His style is impeccable. His narration is professional. His channel is wholesome. His reviews are informative...
Truly, for such a 'niche' concept, Reviewbrah is undoubtedly the king.
Great documentary!
Cheers!
He has a touch of the Art Deco era about him 😊
Yes. He kept reminding me of F. Scott Fitzgerald.
@gypsybloo yes, totally agree 👍
Warhol
@@Jimmy-jm1ol No. Not 'Warhol' at all. What is your issue? The guy looks straight out of the 1940s.
@@fshoaps I stand corrected. Might just be the awkward asexuality they both display, but that is neither here nor there.
Awwwe🥰 baby Reviewbrah. I had forgotten how young he was when he started. John is such a wholesome young man. I love him to pieces🤗🤗
I've been a subscriber of his for a while. I appreciate his originality. Thank you for this Report of the Week.
I just recently started seriously watching Reviewbrah. He's so peaceful and refined.
It's nice getting feel good documentaries every now and again. This lad reminds me of a guy I went to highschool with who also appreciated older styles and the fancier things, and just doing what he enjoyed. Letting young people be themselves and enjoy what they like (within reason, as all things should be) leads to a kinder life
Collecting vintage clothes and accessories is a fun and potentially inexpensive way to be stylish, and connect to history! John definitely wears the suits well 🎩
He looks like a child trying to imitate their father
@@narutofan4545 what’s wrong with that?
@@Tanya_Offscript LOL
@@narutofan4545 Definitely when he was... well, an actual child, but they are more fitting recent years.
@@narutofan4545 Buddy ran out of ideas for what to reply with. Usually I hate when people pull the "Jealous?" card out, but I have the feeling you might just be envious of the fact he is content with his life. Maybe get off the internet for some time?
So cool you made this, ❄️ I haven't tuned into The Report Of The Week in a few years. Love the character. I had no idea he'd been harassed 😕
His episode reviewing hateful comments is quite funny.
Gorlworld better leave him alone. He's a gem.
I think Jhon is everything Amber wants to be. He's funny, geniue, does food reviews, people notice his quirks, is viral and knows how to troll properly. The fact that he hides such a potty mouth makes him so much more precious.
Also not 600lbs.
Potty mouth and thoughts like 14:20?
That definitely explains his name. I couldn't picture him saying 'brah' in his reviews. Anyway, glad to see he's doing well and didn't let the negativity get to him
I had a friend that looks just like him, he reminds me so much of him. They both are unique individuals with good hearts. I’m smiling watching this.
I’ve never seen someone go into so much detail describing a bagel. That was unique.
I have never heard of John or his channel before this video. I absolutely adore his individuality, how genuine he truly seems and his sense of humor. Thank you Mr. Snowflake for making this video about John and his channel. It was a nice reprieve and John's has another subscriber.
Brilliant 😊
John is what we Brits call a good egg
Back in the early 2000's My uncle was big into police scanners as well, he found the code for the Burger King drive-thru I lived a block from and we could listen to people ordering their food. One of my earliest memories of my Uncle.
How cool 😍
This fellow is simply precious. i just wanna hug him. Darling
he's not a time traveller, he's a man out of time
It goes to show how easy it could be for someone without an actually strong support system become a lolcow type dude. Like, had his parents just not cared at all, he likely wouldn't have ever stopped responding so absurdly to negative comments and never had had the time to reflect on how he was behaving in the first place. Imagine if someone like Amber ever had a figure in her life that actually put their foot down and told her "no".
Well said!🫶
Its a common thread it seems.
Truly the last bastion of hope in these dark internet times. May he never waiver or falter in his truth with the industry.
Also, I'm really really hungry now, thanks Mr Cardiflake 😣
Don't care what anyone says, dude is a legend.
I've been subbed to him for years. Can you imagine FB taking lessons from him on etiquette 😮 Great job on this video 😊
This was very well done, im glad he is finding his own way through the RUclips stuff, sometimes his videos are recommended and they aren't bad to watch. Sometimes you just got to do what you love to do no matter who tries to talk bad about you.
People who act like that are just pitiful. Imagine saying he was like Elliot Rodger? Cruel and trashy=nothing.
@@justkiddin84 Yeah especially given what Elliot Roger did and how selfish and weird he was. Reviewbrah is just a quirky guy who likes old suits and food reviews I think hes very pleasant to watch.
What is this? A Reviewbrah doc? Yes please! He is a genius and a classy dresser. A national treasure!
Bad dental work hits home so hard with me. It’s so debilitating. Completely drains you. Poor guy.
the man who went from bullet ridden to bullet proof armed with nothing but an admirable character
he is a living memory
Now THAT'S an apology & THAT'S a real 100k plaque!
(If you know, you know)
Best wishes from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤
I love the pivot from Gorl World to Reviewbrah. Such a great dude.
Omg, a RUclipsr who actually had a parent, be a good parent?! 🤯 He’s so wholesome, I hope he is never involved in any insane mess 🤞
SN: I can’t see him dressing any other way, he was born to dress like that ☺️
I like him. He's the bees knees. He would totally understand that reference.
He’s definitely an old soul.
Too dumb for that
@@narutofan4545Why? Why say that?
@@AltClev37 just look at how he walks
@@narutofan4545That’s really not nice to say. He seems like a pretty decent good hearted dude. Who cares how he walks.
@@AltClev37 an old soul would walk and dress properly
This is so sad. He’s adorable. People can be so cruel.
Y'know, its nice to see a feature on a genuinely good influencer :)
Palette cleanse content, I enjoy it without feeling some type of way. Pure enjoyment without the side effects.
"It's more likely that your grandma is to stop before I do" oh man 😅
Never knew this guy's story (especially the trials & tribulations) although I did see him on Tosh.
The world needs more Reviewbrahs (and fewer Foodie Beauties).
And James C’s
And Nikocado.
I’ve never heard of him! Thank you! I’m liking him. His taste is very unusual for someone his age. Very refreshing!
My 16 year old son dresses the same way. Has always been an individual who is interested in the vintage suits, just like this guy.
He’s such an old soul and genuine guy- a rare gem on this platform❤. Negative people are such a waste of skin, I hope karma gets each and every one of them.
He's getting his karma that's why his existence is so mediocre
The portraits of him were amazing! I even loved the simple pencil drawing of him on the couch. It must be so hard to try and not be bothered by all the grotty negative people. He's honest, inoffensive and wholesome. Love his accent too
This was so wonderfully done and heartwarming, thank you Mr. Snowflake.
People suck, this kid has done absolutely nothing wrong to anybody, just wanting to be his true self and share that with others. Good for him for pushing through and proving them wrong. Long live Review Brah.
What a sweet young man! Love his old style noir content & NY accent is spot on!! 🎉 Sending all the best to John & his YT channel!! Cheers! 🎉
OmGosh, who is his mom?! He is absolutely a gem! I felt like such a proud momma watching the clips of his first vids! Awww. I've watched a review or two, and I thoroughly enjoyed this vid!
Poor thing, they couldn't just leave him alone. He was having fun, maybe not everyone's kind of fun, but his fun, and that's all that matters.
Wait what happened?! What'd they do?? 😭
He needs help
Yes being stalked…so horrible!!
@@narutofan4545who needs help??? Not John (reviewBrah) his stalkers need help
@@CherrrrBear no man should act like that. He will never have a wife
I like his channels/series. John is a little slice of wholesome in the cesspit known as the internet.
I love Review Brah! There's something about the way he starts his videos and greets his audience that I find very comforting.
Mr S I love all of your films but this one ranks among my faves. What a refreshing change to watch such a lovely young man succeed, despite many setbacks. Thank you for a feel good experience 😘❤️
1:01:43 😆 black cravat
This is my favorite video of yours so far. I hope he reacts. You’ve made him a proper documentary
That would be amazing
It would be lovely!
This is the first time I've heard of this man, and he seems like a really sweet guy. I also appreciate that his parents did right by him when he was a bit out of hand. He's sort of got Mr. Rodgers vibes.
I've followed him for years. He's a genius...also, he's from another time and place..clearly.
He was so adorable when he started, that lisp. ♡
Ah this is such a refreshing little change! I love John’s content, he’s a wholesome guy. Hope he sees this!
I really love how in earlier episodes John had the New York attitude and accent. I for one get a lot of joy from this guy and wish him the best.
I remember when he first showed up on misc and he was a sensation lol. Then he came on the forum and started posting himself. Legend!
I love Reviewbrah, what a guy. His radio show is also excellent
Why would you think Mr S would bully anyone? Just curious.
@@justkiddin84 good question! At this time I only watched a few Snowflake videos. I'm beginning to understand the channel's premise as I'm making my way through the catalog. I'm going to edit my comment fo sho.
