I just found about this channel and I am so happy to watch the content as I live in Belgium and I am in the market for an electric bike. You got yourself a subscriber.
I am worried about bike theft and what you said may not be accurate, if your bike gets stolen, you cannot see where it is unless it is nearby the phone, please correct me if I am wrong.

Did a test ride in London today.
Really liked it. Flying past cyclists on road. I also had a test ride on the Vanmoof S3 yesterday. Loved it but being 5.7 the frame is just a bit large for me. Don't wanna damage the crown jewels lol.
Gonna get the Cowboy but I know I'm gonna miss the S3 boost button, that's button gives me joy

It's really hard to grasp how fun it can be to ride an electric bicycle when you never have. Try explaining colors to a colorblind person, and them give him glasses that will correct their vision and you will see the difference in excitement they experience.
My friend works at cowboy and keeps talking about. Sure the bicycle is cool and so is the website I thought. He explained all the features and it really sounded like a cool contender. But honestly, no explanation compares to the experience of starting to cycle from standing still on a hill to reaching 20km/h in from the first push with no effort.
Sure you can do your research about your bicycles and you should. But at the end of the day you need to drive one to feel which one is made for you.
My only experience is with cowboy i never tried any other brand so I can't compare. But to me it's definitely a really enjoyable bicycle at a really good price.

I have this bike and it is a dream to ride. As an engineer I appreciate the design and features. I even had to ride it without battery power and it is fantastic (except when you need to go uphill). If you need to contact the company about anything they respond immediately. It is so clever in all respects.
If you don't have a smartphone then you cannot ride this bike, but even my mother has a smartphone and she is 86!

Hi Mark, I've got a couple questions about the bike, it'd be super helpful if you could get back to me!
I'm looking to get this bike both for general use, and for use as a courier with uber eats. I typically do around 30 miles in a night, but I anticipate this would be higher with an ebike since I'd be able to make deliveries faster, and ride for longer.
How easy is it to toggle the assist whilst riding? I definitely don't need assist everywhere I go, and would gladly leave it off on flat terrain and turn it back on for tougher climbs.
Do you find the range of 43 miles to be accurate, or is it possible to go further with plenty of coasting?
      Cheers

I really like to appreciate your English , which is more clear and understandable than the english , i heard in London but i couldn’t understand it . A lot of compliments the way you explained it . Thanks .

I received my bike but it came with a faulty battery here in the UK London, cowboy will replace the battery but they say I have to wait 2 weeks as there is production problem. I've had the bike for just over a week it came quite quickly after ordering. I've ridden it without battery power and it seems quite nice to ride. It definitely is a good looking bike in the flesh the seat post design is could of been slimmer. The Desiknio Pinion Urban is a good looking bike in the same stealth black but at £4,450 it's more than twice the price than my cowboy

Detailed, thorough review. Thanks! I agree with you on the pedals! I also appreciated your review on the Van Moof S2. I prefer the more integrated battery approach of the S2 , so the Dutch will be getting my money😁

    Hi,
I went on a testdrive, but found that I am too big for this bike (1m98)
I really like it but I was wondering How I Could adjust the bike so I could get a more upright position because my saddle is so high up.
Great bike and great review, Thank you, keep em coming

What about the tires? They are smooth, isn't that dangerous when it's wet? And you can't adjust the steer I think? Too low for recreative riding.

@@TWOWHEELSGOODmobility I want to like the Cowboy, I'm from Belgian, the company is so to. I'm just missing some things that seem logical to me at this price point. A bell for example, which is legally required here in Belgium. I HAVE to add one and if minimalism is their design philosophy, why does their bike not meet the legal requirements in the country it was designed? Seating position is sportive. While that is acceptable for short commutes, it's hardly ideal for long ones. If it's intended for short commutes, why does it have such a large battery (this impact price). The saddle is custom made and is rock hard, again, ideal for short commutes but there is no fun in riding a bike when your butt hurts after 10 km. The bike requires a charged phone to operate and has a huge battery on board, why is there no usb port on this battery so I can hook up my phone when it is dead (that would be really smart and it would not impact anything in terms of looks).
The only thing that puts me off on the VanMoof is that the gearbox is new and has yet to prove itself. Reviews of the S3 also reported clacking noises between certain gears (pre-production model) and as one reviewer put it: my mechanical mind shivers when I hear gears shift like that, it's not healthy and indicates it's not designed very well. If Cowboy would lower their price to 1600-1700,, I would be willing to put all these things aside but as long as they are at the same price (even above with the fenders), it's a no go for me personally.

@@londer71 Im fairly certain the cowboy comes with a traditional bell. Ive been looking closely at both bikes and the cowboy seems superior. The removeable battery makes a huge difference, both are city bikes, yet most people in cities live in small apartments/flats and don't have the space to bring their bike indoors everytime they want to charge it. Both bikes feature comparable apps and have GPS tracking. Vanmoof has gears, but with EV's of any kind the actual need for gears is questionable and cowboy's programming sounds very effective. Both have gps tacking. Lastly build quality and customer service: there is an avalanche of customer complaints regarding vanmoof's build quality, whereas i struggled to find anything other than the occasional cosmetic defect for the cowboy and issues appear to be rectified swiftly. For me the clear winner is the cowboy, i live in a flat in london and plan to use it for a daily commute of 30 miles total, reliability and being able to charge indoors, at work or home, is a huge deciding factor for me. The more agressive seating position is tiring but also more aerodynamic and comes down to personal choice. However i totally agree the lack of USB port seems odd and the saddle looks like a destroyer of prostates.

tomble womble actually, the VanMoof doesn’t have GPS tracking - it’s only GSM tracking. The Cowboy has real GPS tracking. As well as a torque sensor instead of the VanMoof’s more primitive cadence sensor, and of course a belt drive instead of a chain. So while the VanMoof is quite advanced in terms of smart features, in terms of the basics the Cowboy has a lot of significant advantages imo
