I have the Vanmoof s3, I would not recommend Vanmoofs products at all! It is a great bike but the reliability is not good at all. After 2 batteries and 3 cartridges replaced I got an error code on the battery again. These major parts should be designed to go for years. I will never buy a Vanmoof again

Thanks for the insights. They are all flawed in some way but the Van Moof much more so than the others. The Veloretti takes the win with a belt drive, appropriate gearing and user-serviceable parts.

I wonder how veloretti bikes without a battery??? Coz if u forget to charge it on time and if ur battery dies on the road, how does it bikes.i want to buy one to.Someone told me it will be hard to padle coz of the middle motor.
I've made this test and you can ride it just fine. A little bit harder but still get you to the destination

Hi. Thanks for great review. Honestly never heard about Veloreti bikes before. Was considering to get vanmoof s5 because of design. I see on Trustpilot that vanmoof has really problems with customer care but in such bike customer care is essential. Which bike is more water resistant( vanmoof or veloreti)? Do you recommend vanmoof ? Where can i get spare parts to vanmoof? Vanmoof allow to unlock 32 km/h speed, is possible same in veloretti? Thanks
Hi John, well - Vanmoof has indeed "growing challenges". It is a super smart bike with a lot of innovation / software and they indeed struggle sometimes in terms of customer care. When you have a Vanmoof store close by you have a place to go to. Otherwise you depend totally on the app in terms of support. Veloretti offers a super solid bike and you can get the parts in every regular bike shop. Also keep in mind: Vanmoof - you cannot take out the battery. Waterresistant? I would say both bikes are fine for all four seasons ;)

Planning keep vanmoof on partial cover balcony and additional cover with special cover. Do you think is great idea? Do you recommend veloreti or vanmoof?
@@johns2260 Non-removable battery means you need to take the whole bike to charge it, wherever that is for you. You cannot remove it from the bike. Cowboy for instance you can remove it and take it home, leaving the bike in garage (for example).

Be careful! If you live in North America, Vanmoof is a scam!! I spent $3,900 $US on a fully decked-out S3 on August 15, 2022. I live in Windsor, Colorado. The bike did not arrive until February 2023, six months after my check was cashed. It came broken and missing parts. It does not shift gears and the motor does not work, never has. It is now April 7, 2023. They can take six months to ship the bike, but you only have two weeks to return it even if it arrives broken and you don’t figure it out because it is the middle of the Colorado winter. Customer service wants to know if I took it to an authorized bike doctor. There isn’t one in Colorado. This company is ill-equipped to sell to North America.
Here in SoCal VanMoof is a pretty easy bike to manage. We have a service center in LA and SF tho so that really helps. Bike docs here are mobile and come to you!
Returning policy does not apply if it's a warranty case. I don't know the laws outside of Germany but here in the first year the seller always has the burden of proof. So if it arrives broken he pays for repairs and all other costs like shipping back etc.

Van Moof is on the edge of bankruptcy, not recommended.
