As a current JetBlue pilot who’s a fan of your videos, I’ve been anxiously awaiting your review of our trans-Atlantic Mint service. I’m glad you enjoyed your ride from LHR-JFK. And hopefully one day we can compete with the other major (US) airlines on connecting flights with the premium product. *Bonus points as I’m also a Piper owner/pilot for the Cherokee shirt you wore on the video 👍🏼
You know Noel with all of these amenity kits you acquire on your flights the the oddly curious in me would love a review video of the best/worst ones you've had over the years lol. As always Noel love the videos and keep em coming!
I have never opened an amenity I have ever received! I find them to be totally useless but I know that I am somewhat alone on this. The kit usually has what I already have in my bag except maybe the stain remover! Thats thoughtful!
I flew from Gatwick to JFK with JetBlue for the first time in a Blue economy seat and I didn't have any issues, the planes were new and clean, staff were friendly and the website whilst slow didn't cause me any major issues and I was able to easily rebook my return flight.
In pre-Covid times, many of my corporate clients would choose to travel on JetBlue domestically. Although a trans-Atlantic journey, it opened my eyes to this airline. Thanks for a superb video.
I have flown the mint many times between JFK and Los Angeles or San Francisco. I have been pleased with the comfort of the plane (particularly the new mint studio seats) and the food. The lack of lounges is their biggest weakness. For those routes, the cost is competative with other airlines, and I think that Mint is better than most airlines domestic business or first class.
Another great video. Who would of thought 20 years ago we would be flying transatlantic on an Airbus 321. The Mint suit looks massive as you said in the video and all those amenity kits! Yes your right Jet Blue needs to have business class seats across the fleet if they want to compete against the like of American or United.
@@johniii8147 yeah I hear what your saying but the 757 has always been transatlantic as well as medium distance its always had the capability of flying these distances. The A321 in Europe never really ventured outside of Europe until a few years ago.
The price did seem a bit steep, but, then again, this is a new route for them. By the looks for the Mint cabin, there were A LOT of empty seats. JetBlue will probably start lowering the price as that is a LOT of lost revenue for them! Can't wait to see how the Economy Class goes for the second leg!
Thanks Noel for another amazing video! Mint suite is enormous! You could even bring a nerf basketball and basket and have a game. Really awesome experience.
all those drawers for bits and bobs would give me anxiety, I would be stressed the whole flight that I might forget something in one of them, I prefer one single large cabinet with inner drawers, other than that, brilliant video as always!

I love it! I have been in that terminal at Heathrow. Nearby there is a pub, as well as a place where I had French oysters on the half shell and salmon tartare. And I have scored snacks in the snack shop you were in.
Jet Blue is the best airline I've ever been on. Granted I almost always fly with them, always great service, decent internet, and amazing piltos and crew!
Just a quick update, that website issue doesn't happen here. Probably because they just started doing transatlantic in 2021. Also, it does include a lounge, just not overseas yet. They plan on finishing them by 2023.
That meal just reminded me of a line from one of the greatest films ever made. “What was it we had for dinner tonight?” ‘Well, we had a choice of steak or fish’ “Yes, yes, I remember, I had lasagna”
Everything I have heard about the Mint product is great, but its availability is just too limited. If Jet Blue wants to be serious about getting into the premium end of air service, they will need to make Mint available system wide (even if it's only 8 - 12 seats on most of their planes) and provide lounges at key locations like JFK.
The onboard product on jet blue seems like the one of the best transatlantic options , the studio almost seems like it is between business and first with a modern private seat and good food. As for the price im sure between LHR - JFK with early booking and off peak times the price would be way less possibly close to £900. In that respect that represents good value considering there hard product is better than most flagship airliners for the route only downside is of course the lounge
I booked last month with JetBlue and already had to make a couple of changes in itinerary and seats and to be honest this had been the best web experience I have had with an airline. I was in and out with my changes in 5 minutes even getting a refund because my new dates were cheaper. No hassle, easy to understand website and no tricks.
I love watching your films. Only just discovered them. They are so interesting. You love the aeroplane details and I l am interested in the meals. Thank you for spending more time on them and describing them. I am quite envious of your travels!
I got upgraded from a regular mint seat to the studio on a cross country flight in December. I actually prefer the seats in the back. The studio is too close to the flight attendants so you get to see their every move which I found distracting. Also, I prefer the old 2-1 mint setup where the seats are front facing. I like looking out when I fly and the newer set up is angled to where you have to look back and on to the side to see out the window. Still a great experience though and I would gladly do it again.
Great review, really enjoyed it. Despite the 18 HPMs. (Huffs per minute)😂. Once you notice you cant not count them! But seriously, keep up the good work.👏👍🏻
Honestly Mr Philips, your food intake is amazing! Maccies, KFC, Cheese and Onion slices with crisps and Dr. Peppers....Take me with you on your next trip!!! Great videos!
Size matters. Jet Blue has a on good on board product - but their scheduling / available number of non-stop flights per day between two points on their route map is very limited. If connecting to a second flight, the lay over at JFK or FTL can be half a day or more.
I am glad you had a great flight on the narrow body Airbus 321. The Mint Service looks nice and can be compared to Business Class in general on other airlines. I agree with you about champagne in a plastic cup!! I hope they will have glasses later on this year for champagne. Thank you for sharing your trip.
So, was the Mint/Business Class section full of passengers because when you scanned you camera i did not see anyone else. But the Flight Attendant went back to Economy Class and there where people back there. Wow!!! I have always needed Business Class flying long haul because I am 6"2 in height. And flying long haul in Economy Class is just not a great situation.
I think at some point Jet Blue will partner with some airline to give flyers access to an Airline Lounge especially paying that price for flying on them. And I don't mind paying for day passes even if I have a Business or First Class ticket. So wee will see who Jet Blue partners with.
Thank you for reviewing this, Noel. With the exception of the broccoli dish, most of the food looked like typical low-cost carrier carb stodge. Blue is an unfortunate corporate colour because it gives the effect of living in an igloo (which oddly enough I do not equate with comfort!) and does not enhance the appearance of food. Amex or PP could have gotten you into the Plaza lounge at T2.

Yep, I whole heartedly agree. I LOVE JetBlue, definitely my preferred US Airline. They have phenomenal flight attendants, spacious seats and great food. However, the whole charging Mint but flying economy for certain legs of the trip is not good. I recently booked a Mint flight from upstate NY to Aruba (had to connect in JFK). The flight from upstate NY to JFK had no Mint experience, which was fine because honestly it's only an hour flight and smaller plane. However, they did offer "Even More Space" seats. I thought surely because I had purchased the Mint ticket I would be able to select one of those seats for the first, short leg of my flight. I was wrong - they actually charged me extra money for those seats, just as if I had bought the entire ticket as an Economy flight. I thought this was absolutely crazy.
Of course you can 🤣 If and when I do drink Dr Pepper I wouldn't be bothered if I was drinking it out of a watering can . I think it's proven Champagne and it's taste, deteriorates drinking from a plastic cup.
You should definitely look at doing the flight from Brize Norton to The Falklands. Its a public flight run by the RAF which is shared by military and civilians.
I flew JetBlue way back in the day when they first started up. They were one of the first, if not the first to prove In Flight Entertainment on short-haul domestic flights. Satellite TV, Radio and a selection of movies. In 2005 that was basically unheard of. Not to mention, they were labeled as a Low Cost Airline. I don’t fly then much anymore because I’m kind of a snob when it comes to flying. I have to fly with some sort of comfort (NO ECONOMY….EVER) and JetBlue just doesn’t cut it anymore. However, I can’t recall ever having a bad experience flying with them.
This is exactly what I came to ask, I was thinking WTF did I just see, looks like a 747/DC10. I think you may be right, it's isolated and seems to have scorch marks around the doors.

You need Priority Pass with all the traveling you do!!! It's hit and miss sometimes, but Heathrow has a few lounges with PP.
It's very blue in that cabin!
A bit pricey and a shame about the lounge access but seems like a comfortable space. Thanks again Noel
Great review! But I think the price like you said is outrageous for essentially "half a business class ticket" with no lounge access.
You can't complain about champagne in a plastic cup when you also drink Dr. Pepper lol
Dr.Pepper is soooooo nice 🤤
Of course you can 🤣 If and when I do drink Dr Pepper I wouldn't be bothered if I was drinking it out of a watering can . I think it's proven Champagne and it's taste, deteriorates drinking from a plastic cup.
I love the video - I can’t wait to try it myself. - can you also give the prices in US dollars?
What is that thing at 06:50??
Looks like a gone wrong mix of a 747 and a MD-11.
What model is that?
Nice video Noel, as usual.
I thought I was the only person wondering about that! Can anyone clear up the mystery?
That is a fire fighter training mock up
love that bunker you were in.....
I’d love to see you do some flights from Gatwick! The south terminal re opens soon, Come see us at the service centre!!!
You should definitely look at doing the flight from Brize Norton to The Falklands. Its a public flight run by the RAF which is shared by military and civilians.
Excellent suite that Noel plenty of room , nice food too
Thanks for watching!
Love this channel - Noel ya beautyyyyy
Just a good normal bloke, thank you
I Like you PA28 shirt. I have the same one. Good choice.
Im looking forward to when Jetblue finally can fly to Kona HI... Ill fly Mint service then😉
I do think that your intro for the toilet review was hilarious
Is the green thing that looks like a 747 forward cabin with a DC-10 tail stuck on it the Heathrow Fire trainer?
This is exactly what I came to ask, I was thinking WTF did I just see, looks like a 747/DC10. I think you may be right, it's isolated and seems to have scorch marks around the doors.
It was a bit odd looking 🤔
Your diet is terrific mate!
The amenities it’s were excellent. They are usually just basic aren’t they. Looked really comfortable, especially for a fairly small Epson like me.
