America's BEST Business Class | JETBLUE Mint Studio

- Join me onboard the brand new jetBlue studio from Los Angeles all the way over to the New York's JFK. This is one of the world's newest business class products and is flown on jetBlue's newest routes across the pond to London Gatwick and London Heathrow. I'll give you my brutally honest review of the studio and also the suites - yes there are two different business class products on the same plane.
As always in my trip reports, i'll be looking at the food service, what the bed is like, the lounge offering and overall experience for the money. Should you fly this? Well let's head over to LAX and find out together.
For background jetBlue name their Business Class MINT... I know, different right! And in my opinion demonstrate how the US should do Business Class... or what many domestic carriers like to refer to.. as First Class...
JetBlue’s mint has always been praised so much that people don’t talk about how good the economy experience is. It actually has more leg room than the major carriers on transcontinental routes and free-WiFi that’s pretty fast. This is always my go to airline for domestic travels in the US
agree, especially the food and the service. But hey, from in rich people's perspective I think they forget that. Love JetBlue economy. The lounges and a wide body is all they need to be complete in my opinion
Youre right. They were also some of the first to give in flight entertainment, and its direct TV, which is really unique. Their unlimited snacks are also nice.
Never been on a JetBlue flight. I’ll have to check the out on my next flight.
That’s two month’s rent, is it worth it?
@@1mol831 A studio in the SoCal area can be $1900. $1900 for two months rent is a dream!
What an awesome way to fly, especially on a narrowbody. I hope to experience it one day.
Trust me, once you try first class, you’ll never go back to economy 🤣
@@jojothe2nd607 I agree on anything over 3 hours
@@jojothe2nd607 imagine paying thousands of dollars to rent a chair lmao
@@failtolawl Don't have to
@@failtolawlmad as hell you broke
I'm from Scotland and my husband and I both have 'Trusted Traveller', the Pre check is amazing, no standing in Immigration queues when you land, you just go the same way as the US nationals and it's so quick, it lasts for 5 years and is worth every penny c.£150 you also have to go initially for an interview with their Homeland Security at specific airport, but then that's it. 100% recommend it.
What were the application times like? On the website it says it can take 4-6 months.
@@John_3_16 the application times weren't that long for us initially, couple of months at the most, once you get everything in place you then need to make an appointment with Homeland Security, we went to Vegas airport to have our interview, 10 minutes max it took, we have Trusted Traveller for 6 years now and it is the best thing we ever decided to do
With the flight direct with no stops from New York City to London and mint being so cheap it’s actually incredible
Great review. Useful to remember a domestic biz class ticket on most US airlines doesn’t get you lounge access without FF membership and status. Jet Blue look to be on a winner.
Thanks for watching Paul. The exception within the US is actually transcon Business / First, which gets your lounge access with the big three. Have to say, big fan of JetBlue overall :)
@@sabrinamurphy4009 Agree ... social media camera wielders can be so intrusive and sometimes so self-righteous about assuming they can film anything especially for a You Tube channel
@@Trektrendy This is only true on flights between SFO/LAX and JFK and sometimes BOS and only on special premium classes (e.g. Delta One or United Polaris). None of the big three offer this for flights from Seattle, despite the fact that a number of those flights (particularly to Florida) are longer. For most Americans this means that they don't see "free lounge access" on their transcon flights, unless they live in SF, LA, NYC or Boston, even when flying first. However Alaska Airlines, not one of the big three, offers lounge access to all first class fliers, if you're in an airport with an Alaska lounge.
@@Trektrendy I've noticed some comments that state there are times when you are filming that the other first class passengers appear on film. Have you thought about "blurring" out their faces for their privacy?
I flew JetBlue from LGW - JFK (return/economy) and was blown away by it - when I booked I had the option of upgrading to Mint for £240 each way and didn't - really regret that but that's not to say the economy experience was bad - far from it. I've had worse BA flights and will look to book again with JB. The economy food choices are good, and you select using the touch screen what components you want before departure - along with the unlimited* food and drink throughout the flight I was very impressed. I've flown similar distances with other airlines and been charged for everything except water.
Minor nitpick: JetBlue’s IATA code is B6, not JB.
Ahh, LAX....the Under Construction Forever airport. Haha. I agree the price is "competitive", but for that amount, they really need to cut a deal with an airline lounge or with Amex for the Centurion lounge. I paid $400 USD for a first class seat from DFW to LAX back in October on Alaska Airlines...and I had access to their lounge in LA. For some reason, only Alaska Airlines allows lounge access to their First/Business class flyers in the US. That said...I love flying JetBlue! Great seats! Great IFE!! and even greater crew!!! Plus the Even More Speed/Space stuff make it that much more enjoyable. Have not tried Mint yet, but will plan that for 2022. Need to fly a bit out of my way to do so, but I suspect it will be worth it. Great review as always! Look forward to the next one!!
As usual, your reviews are of the highest quality. Your ability to assimilate and present prescient data is excellent. Additionally, your video/sound editing skills are of the highest order. Thanks for running such a great channel.
I've watched other channels who review high grade travel , but I always come back to you. You're my favourite because you show and talk about all of my interests in these upgrades. You say it as it is without being rude somehow so its not nerve grinding and boring. You do a great job is what I'm trying to say! Lol!
Such a great channel and love your style of narration with giving all the things we should know in a clear and concise manner, keep it up buddy!
Glad to see how clean the plane is. I saw a similar video yesterday with Delta flying out of the middle east and the next leg showed the plane had not been cleaned. There was mold on some of the debris.
it's a business class ffs.
Having only has my first ever flight at the ripe age of 25 over the New Year to and from JFK to my home of London, JetBlue gave me the an amazing first flight experience, I was in economy (or whatever the term is for lowest class on their flight) and the crew were very friendly, offered great and constant service and the takeoff and landing meals were nice, and a surprising amount of leg room and space, provided a lovely blanket and cosmetics bag and on was a very well kept plane, very clean, this will certainly be an airline I try to fly with often!
So if JFK to your home in London was your first ever flight, did you take a boat to get to NYC?
What boat?
@@judsonkr TO and from JFK, as in a go to JFK first

I would imagine it would be better for JetBlue to contract with a lounge at key airports, if only for their mint/ mosaic passengers. The twa hotel & outdoor patio at jfk is kinda a lounge.
They are planning to open one summer next year. W just have to be patience 😀
@@sergiolaurencio7534 a JetBlue lounge would be great. They shouldn't rush into it. If only to do it properly. I still see them as a leisure/budget carrier, hence how many people really want a lounge. For me a lounge is a bonus regardless of airline.
@@thomasmoore9421 Good Morning( or good night if it dark were you are) I agree, they should take its time if they want to do it we'll. I really wish the best for them.
Will!!! Cannot believe you do not have TSA Precheck! It makes a world of difference my man… great work as always, cheers 🥂
The chicken is pronounced as catch-a-tori ❤️🙂 love following your reviews and destinations!
15 minutes in a security line in LA is practically teleporting. 🤣
Out of all your competition on RUclips your reviews are hands down THE best! Keep up the great work!
Wow, thank you so much :)
I am really excited to fly with Jetblue in the future, I've been following their Atlantic journey from the start.
Finally! You did my favorite airline. I am a poor man with an account with this airline and it was nice to see it come under your radar. I’m also glad to see that you gave it a decent rating.
Really enjoy your videos and it's fascinating to see and compare all the different offerings out there. If you're stopping through DFW it would be awesome to see the newly opened Capital One lounge up close!
I enjoyed the video and breakdown of the experience. My question is the elite flight option something that a Jet Blue Credit card member is offered as an upgraded and or discounted perk to having a JetBlue card? And if so, would you recommend anyone who is considering flying JetBlue to also look into applying to a card that offers certain advantages. See I personally live in the states, that while I have never had a bad experience on a JetBlue flight, I don't know if I should commit to only flying JetBlue if ever I want to fly an upgraded class for a similar price to other companies. Thoughts, and thank you in advance.
I love seeing things like this and I find it very funny when you say when it’s not perfect because maybe it is but your also in a giant metal tube
Loved getting to join you on this experience!
That chicken dish is Chicken Cacciatore (catch-uh-torrey) and it's a personal fave of mine!
Safe travels🎉
.We love traveling and cant wait to try the Mint Studio.
I only fly JetBlue for our Disney trip every year. I am not a good flyer and am so nervous with all my children with me. I have had the best flight attendants on the Jetblue flights. The personal TV and the new upgrades to them are incredible! So many options plus games that you can play against each other. The prices too we have gotten have been amazing. I have never spent more then $120 each way for tickets. Usually always under $100 from Newark to Orlando. We did get the Jetblue credit card to help with their frequent flyer "True-blue" points too.
i wish someone would do a one hour video of their adventure like this
Thank you for posting I hope you have the best day
Nice video with very useful information. I think I’d personally fly it within the continental US, and make it to the airport just in time to board.
6:05 is where the actual review starts.
at 4:39 the lady walking past you was speaking Amharic 😌 Was shocked to randomly hear my language in one of your videos LOL
"Its kinda like tap ass" "you can choose any 3 of the 5 offered ".
!! I had no idea there were two more offers! This is very intriguing!
I was in the studio 1F JFK - LGW in November. Wireless charger worked, that little extra flap seat thing that didn't raise for you, didn't raise for me, either.
Chicken “catch-a-tory” cacciatore is Italian. My daughter used to call it “kitchen chakachory” Tomato, peppers, onion, carrot, oregano. Great with stuffed peppers too.
Great review. Their Mint product is very impressive.
Jetblue Mint's product is great, but I must say it's the service and attention to detail that always leaves me so grateful for the experience
Have you done a review on Frontline? Wonderful review of Jet Blue. In the meantime, take care and safe travels.
CATCH A TORY is how you say yr chicken dish. Lol. Brilliance as always.🎉🎉🎉
Great video!!! The lady that walked passed you on the bridge was speaking Amharic ( Ethiopian🇪🇹)
Nice review - looks a good class
Very informative and entertaining video. Just a pity that so many parts of the hard product seem to be flimsy or inoperative already!
Another great video 🤩
I dont know what it is but Jetblue is just cozy
I love it...I would fly with them....
It just amazes me in all of these high dollar seats, how many of the gadgets are broken.
21 year veteran Jetblue flight attendant. I do believe we have lounges in JFK and BOS for the Mint customers.
Great review. Finally made Platinum on Delta…maybe they can Delt’ can learn from Blue!”
Since JetBlue has no lounge, I might consider using The Salon at PS LAX before my LAX-JFK mint flight.
I am pleasantly surprised, but not shocked that the cool gadgets and gizmos are already breaking down. As a fairly avid console gamer I am waiting for the first of these "business suites" to have hookups for those of us travelling with our consoles to game in-flight...
LUV YOUR flight VIDEOS xox
If I was a trust-fund kid, this is exactly the kind of RUclips content I would make
Right?! 😂
Greetings World Traveler. I have over the years watched many travel videos. Thank goodness I found you while scrolling. I have hardly left your channel since. Personally I will never be able to experience traveling like that, but can do so vicariously through your videos. Thank you. And you are hot looking too.
Was waiting thinking I had kept missing your review for the week but damn Will... Brilliant review as always! Yes, I would fly this product!
I had to rewind to look at the menu in the middle of the food review! I've always said it the American way chicken ka-chuh-tory.
your pronunciation of Zucchini and Cacciatore are quite adorable :D
I’m going to be flying jfk to sfo in may, I’ll be flying one of the premium products either this or AA a321 first.
At the moment the jet blue price is double AA!!
Worth it, or go AA for half?
The transatlantic LHR/LGW to JFK is on my bucket list, alongside the YYZ to LIS route (operated by a TAP A321LR) . If I am completely honest, I wouldn't mind not having lounge access, considering the low price of the ticket.
I'm the type of guy who shows up at the airport 1.5 hours before the flight departure
If I were behind you, I would hate that you're filming me.
Otherwiese, I cannot wait to fly Mint!
@Luke Go, I have to agree; the least he could do is blur out the other's face for privacy reasons.
Oh that image of him sucking on the dirty water of that fountain is now baked in my mind as JetBlue's lounge...
Impressive!
Cacciatore is pronounced "catch uh tory"...I loved your attempt 🙂✌
Please do the review of westjet 787 from Calgary to Amsterdam on economy or business class
I know you have your way of recording your videos, but i hope you can give us more airplane cabin/seat review than the short 3-5min of it. I feel you give us more of the stuff prior than the actual airplane seat/cabin stuff. Just my opinion. Still like the content but just feel like wanting more or it please
I love you’re accent
Pre is great. But also get clear. Not every airport has them but when they do, it's the best.
You need TSA pre-check using Clear! Takes only a few minutes to go through security.
Depends on your phone if it works under those circumstances :)
For LAX-JFK, i prefer AA first if you want to chill in the lounge. The prices are hit or miss tho. Also AA miles are much more valuable than jetblue
You should do a segment on the internet quality and entertainment offerings.
I always like the walking away shots but man that must be awkward to then walk back to grab the camera 😅😂
I love your channel. I came across it about a month ago & I’ve now watched every video.
I’m American, but my Mom grew up in Reading, so your accent hits home for me.
However, I can’t believe that you pronounced “zucchini” like that😐😅
I’ve never heard anyone say it like “Zoo-Cheeney” instead of the correct way of “Zoo-Key-Knee”
Also, that chicken dish you refused to pronounce, I assume that it was “Chicken Cacciatore.”
It is pronounced with different ending sounds. It can be pronounced as either:
“Catch-Uh-Tore-Ay”
OR
“Catch-Uh-Tory”
You’re welcome, bud!😂
Adjective. moreish (comparative more moreish, superlative most moreish) (UK, informal, of food, drink, or other consumable) Causing one to want to have more.
I like that. From tone I honestly thought it was an insult, and needed specifics. heh.
Well, here I thought you’d flown away!
also first time seeing a 3-point seatbelt on a plane! interesting
Nice review. How tall are you?
With dinner out of the way let's nip to the loo for a massive post meal log
I don't need a bed for a 5 hour flight. I just need enough leg room so I'm not cramped. People will say "you are just poor". The thing is, I would rather take 5 premium economy trips, vs 2 first class trips. I find on most flights if I can book the emergency exit seat, thats more than enough room for me.
Jet blue also serves meals on their flights to london in economy class.
I know, but it seems people focus more on the mint without telling the awesome economy. I do wish like like he said they have a lounge since this could be better for them. And I would say is better to wait in other to do it fine and have a good lounge. Overall, all in jetblue in my opinion is awesome
Im terrified of flying, the fact people just chill and sleep 30 thousand feet in the sky blows my god damn mind
Great review! Grammar nitpick: It's "LIE flat," not "LAY flat." People lie down. Or lay themselves down. Or lay something else down. Really. I'm not lying.
Looks very nice, but no lounge... no thanks at that price. And four thousand to London, but no lounge... no thanks at that price. But a Business Class window seat that is actually next to a window! What a concept! There a few airlines with their Boeing 787s, A330s, A350s and ancient Boeing 767s that could learn a trick from that.
I just checked Jetblue JFK-LHR Mint flights 30 days out and Mint seats were anywhere from $830-$1060 one way...so about $2100 round trip. Not bad at all.
What do you do for a living? Just curious :) We love watching your videos but I continually find myself wondering about it hahah.
@Tessa Brazel, I believe that his RUclips channel is his full time job. He started the channel over 7 years ago and slowly built up a following.
Great video… crazy how low priced that is even with no lounge access.
Thanks for watching mate and glad you liked it. Yeah I think when you book at the right time it’s reasonable. $4k transatlantic is a bit too high for my liking but we’ve seen pricing initially at $2k which is hopefully where prices will resume sometime next year 🤞🏼

When is the next video
Are you doing a Christmas video
What is the best thing about flying in first class
Jet blue is literally my main plane
Is there a price difference being choosing mint studio vs mint suite?
I love the Mint Studio, and JetBlue’s service is incredible on transcontinental flights! Aside from the fact the airline doesn’t have a lounge, JetBlue does a great job!
Amazing videos
Thank you 🙏🏼
What do you do for a job which requires so much travel? Keen to know 🙌🏼
@Sid Rens, I believe this is his full time job. His channel started out over 7 years ago and slowly built up a following.
do you ever close your window shade?
If you can get it I would look into Clear instead of precheck. IT's good for things like sporting events as well not just the airport. Could be more beneficial for you, especially as it expands. Enjoyed the video as usual though Will!
great videos. your advice please. I am applying for jobs w american, delta, and united for the sole purpose of flying standby business or first class for free. which domestic airline has the very best business and first class and which segments? thank you so much!
Whoever’s eats on a plane is very brave
While it is true that jet blue doesn’t have their own dedicated lounge, if you have the executive American Airlines card or a subscription to the admirals lounge, you can use that lounge. Most people don’t know that but if you read the terms for the admirals lounge it says JetBlue customers can use the lounge. Only issue is that you cannot use the lounge for international flights which is a bummer so honestly the only option you have is to try for a centurion card for the Amex club, hope your airport has a capital one club, or fly United or delta or a different airline or just fly American and have the credit card with lounge access with said airline.
It’s absoulutely brilliant how all of this is on a a321😅. This can easily beat the european business class counterparts.
another great video also can you review ITA Italy's main airline?
Have you traveled the Southwest business class or Premium? I have travel miles with Southwest and was considering travel to Central America or the Caribbean with them. Any lounges than Southwest is in agreement with would be helpful too!
I’ve flown Southwest business select and all it gets you is earlier boarding and a free drink. If you have A-list with them it’s both worth booking it. I fly roughly 70 times a year and I don’t bother since I just maintain A-list and often still get good boarding numbers with economy prices
You request your steward make up the bed. With lenin. Or is that not available. Frankly bringing a throw looks advisable.
JetBlue = the WalMart of American 1st class. 😆
In reality, jet Blue's business class is on quite a few top 10 lists in the world.
I never understood fancy airplane seating
I always hear people complain like “ooh it’s too cramped! Ooh it smells!! Oooh the flight is so long!!
But like… I was cramped, sat next to a smelly dude, for 6 hours, and the whole way I just really didn’t give a shit cus I wasn’t on the airplane to be entertained, I just wanted to get home. That flight was like $160 🤔 a fair price considering I crossed half of America, but idk!!
I wish u would do Dallas Tx to Hobart Tasmania business class or better.
You love that NASA sweatshirt don’t you?
