How much did this trip cost to you? may be you said it and I didn't understand, I am not native in English, sorry. It looks expensive, but very comfortable. Even though I don't like the dirt, I would have said it inmediately.
I was about to comment how being a former crew member in the US for JetBlue how unfortunate it is that we’re given so little time to clean between flights, but oh my god this was on the ground for 24 hours! I could’ve done that whole aircraft 10 times!
I worked with air Canada on ground maintenance I never used to clean for them but I once had to fix something inside the bathrooms, during that time the cleaning crew came in and they did clean quite quickly but quite well. But business class was given so much priority and was cleaned so well. Delta employees and cleanliness just sucks ass
It happens. A lot of airports right now just don’t have the staff. I work for another airline, and in my base these days, we are always late pushing out and pulling in to a gate. Not enough ramp agents. Security and cleaning also take forever because there aren’t enough agents right now, especially night crew. People just don’t understand the severity of the situation. I flew a plane recently with no potable water. Our plane sat for 24 hours at a station, but staff is short and they never made it to our plane. It is what it is.
Air Canada wanted $2,000 to fly one way from Vancouver to Toronto in 2000 🤣. I flew with Sky Service for $158. Would never, ever give AC the pleasure of my business.
@@trappenweisseguy27 because you were looking at a business class price of a major carrier compared to economy of a budget airline that doesn’t even exist anymore.....
As I always travel in economy, I rarely have these disappointments, simply as my expectations are only that I won't die in an air disaster. I would be livid after having paid US$3000 for that ticket.
So I guess it doesn't matter if you travel business class or economy, both options still get you to your destination, just business class is much more expensive.
@@kinghenry100 about a month ago, I only paid about $550 to fly round trip from Panama City, Florida to El Marqués, Querétaro, Mexico. Using Delta airlines, but I went with economy because both business class and economy get you to there same destination at the same time although the business class are most likely the ones to board and unboard the plane first.
@@Kittyququmber My longest flight when I went on a trip in March was when I flew from Atlanta, Georgia to Mexico City, Distrito Federal, MX. About 4 hours. Then I took another short flight from Mexico City to Queretaro, MX.
As a DL frequent flyer (Diamond Status) thank you for shedding light on this issue. It’s pretty consistent these days. I feel most pandemic-related cleaning practices have stopped while other services like poor food and amenities in domestic F are still somehow reduced, with the blame on COVID… Flew this bird reverse SEA-JFK as a red eye last year so I slept in the crumbs vs seeing them. Great vid again. Keep it up!
Agree 100% Mike! I am invested heavily with Delta as I have there Platnium Amex and am a high status frequent flyer. They have let there service go no matter the aircraft or airport! I have asked numerous flight attendants and they all blame the work shortage and COVID. Tired of the excuses!
Same here, DM on Delta. Fly just about weekly on them. 3+ hour flights and they are still serving the "box" meals. I usually eat in the lounge, so the food onboard isn't that important to me, but they need to step up their service.
Cleaning in my last economy was terrible. People were removed for refusal to wear masks (which I’m fine with) but dang… dirty seats? Used tissues? Masks won’t stop crud from that.
On my last flight there was fecal matter on my economy seat, I wouldn't sit down and told the flight attendant, I was told there were no empty seats on the flight and was given a blanket to sit on. It was disgusting and no one should be expected to sit in fecal matter. They should have had it cleaned and sterilized being its bio hazardous material. Nasty, just nasty.
This is Delta in a nutshell since the pandemic. I flew to Amsterdam over the holidays, and the experience was similar to yours. As a Diamond member, I don’t think I can continue to invest in their programs if they don’t get their act together, and quickly! Now with Delta charging a ridiculous amount for flights + their point devaluation, there is just an abundance of good competition for international flights nowadays
I will still fly delta. They saved me countless of time. Being from Singapore and how highly coveted SQ is, I think DL has a lot more common sense in their service department than rigid SQ service team that is by the book all the time despite having PPS… of course there are better airlines out there but if you’re based in the US, it doesn’t make sense to fly United or AA in my experience. FA is just not as thoughtful as Delta. Alaska is the other option if you live in the right place.
@@jkjkjk100 I agree with you, in the US they are the best. But honestly domestic flights in the US really are piss poor compared to the rest of the world, so the bar is set pretty low in that regard
@@jkjkjk100 I’ll stick with Southwest. They work extremely hard to maintain their customer service. Currently, they are the largest airline in the world in reference to flights daily. They’ve maintained this pinnacle for the past two years. I appreciate their efforts during this two years of stupidity. Delta, American and United…..didn’t fly for three months.
Definition of taking one for the team. It's a shame that there's been basically 0 changes (except getting hot food) since your last vid exposing Delta.
I completely agree apart from this time not being in a crew rest seat and your tray table actually being somewhat clean. (who gives the flight attendant a first class suite?
@@alunesh12345 Several of my pilot friends fly for Delta. If I were in the back of one of their flights, I'd get on a first name basis with our savior real quick😰🤣
I’m a delta aircraft maintenance technician and it’s unfortunate that the cleaners did a sub par job cleaning that aircraft. It’s not always like this hope you fly delta again.
The issue with the spiraling down of customer service and fleet care with all US travel companies is that they really do not care, never did and never will. As long as they sell tickets and are able to meet their profit margin, they are happy. But fleets that are operated out of US, like the name brand Middle Eastern and European flights, simply enjoy competing to satisfy their customer, the American culture of "I don't care", "who cares", "it's not my problem" and "who give a s$#t", has extended into the American business models for as long as their company meet their profit margins.
I think it may have more to do with the fact that 3 airlines monopolize most of the US market so they don’t have to compete. Whereas European and Middle eastern airlines have lots of competitors so they’re forced to be better. What we need is lawmakers with the balls to break up monopolies.
@@kinocorner976 I mean most of the people watching this video weren't even born during the 90s Small Golden Age of Flying let alone the 50s and 60s LOL
I was a Red Coat until a few months ago. The claim of how they care about cleanliness is a total sham. All they do is that spray, which is something. But they don't give a F about actually cleaning. I brought this up repeatedly to management ( in Sea), and they could care less. Can't risk a delay in boarding metrics to clean up. I used to take wipes and try and clean at least the first class cabin as much as I could, but after about 5 months I gave up wasting my time. Why care more than management?? Truly a shame. They do so many other things well
Worked for Delta for 3 years until I switched to a different airline. We sprayed during the pandemic up until End of March 2021. We didn’t even wipe tray tables anymore. Just pick up garbage and vacuum. And of course take out trash. But people would always shortcut everything, especially with how quick we have to be so we don’t risk a delay. A couple months ago, some of the executives came to our station and basically told us to F Off about giving us better benefits and told us and I quote, “If you’re in this to make money, you’re in the wrong business.” Well I’m in this to help my career in becoming a pilot but thanks for showing your true colors. The next week I put in my two weeks and got hired by a different airline that seems to treat their employees way better. Bonus: we are unionized, and I’ve never looked back since.
I’ve only flown Delta for the past 8 years and unfortunately your review is spot on. Delta One simply isn’t worth it. The last 3 times I’ve flown I’ve experienced what you did. They simply don’t clean those spaces. I’m hoping to go to Europe soon and doubt it will be on Delta. Btw love the videos. Keep up the great work.
I carry Wet Ones and wipes on all trips. I wipes the tray tables, arm rests, TV screens and belt buckles. The cleaning crew will never be that detail unless you're flying with Emirates. Take the wipes into the bathroom because you'll need it there as well. It's a shame but it's true.
The filthiest plane i was ever one was emirates MUC-dubai. But it was the crowd that made it filthy. I will never fly emirates again because i felt like i was surrounded by nazghul and goat herders. Filthy
It is unfortunate that in this day and age, it was thaaaaat flithy! Also with the competition in the U.S. you would expect a certain degree of quality with the product. 24 hours on ground. No excuses for that! The toilet looked nasty, keeping in mind it is 'business class'. But as always a brutal and honest review, thanks Will!

This made me laugh. Those of us in economy are struggling to maintain our sanity and are treated like bottom feeders in a pond. I really feel for you. Bottom line is there is no accountability for the executives who most likely have never had to deal with any of this. The staffing is bare bones and if you don’t get to a connecting flight, they will find a way to wash their hands of the whole business, as per their business model. You barely even touched the tip of the iceberg…
Truer words may have never been spoken. Took a recent trip on Delta and sat right behind Delta comfort and but for boarding last... I wasn't upset that I didn't pay an extra $200 for snacks... next time, I'll spend $20 in the snack stand and buy more Clorox wipes and smile with my savings... bottom feeder treatment and all 😆
Thats true about Air Koryo. Very clean planes indeed, proper meals and beautiful cabin crew with a smile and no delays (even in the harsh winters) Experienced it myself. I flew many times on Air Koryo in the past... Its surprising to see how filthy the Delta planes are for such a developed country.
My mom is a delta employee so I fly Delta a lot between their house in Texas and my University in England. I sometimes get to fly Delta One. Honestly I just feel lucky to have a bed on a long flight. But, after her benefits changed and I’ve experienced Virgin Atlantic, the difference is astounding. Delta is just… underwhelming. If I was having to pay as much as other people invest into first class, I would be extremely disappointed in their service and cleaning compared to other airlines.
I was 2 seats behind you on this flight and figured I would be seeing a review. (Actually snapped a picture of you at work on this January 10th flight). Didn't notice the uncleanness but I guess I also was not conducting a review. The meal was well done, I had the same ribs... so nice to see hot food back with Delta. Must say, as is usual with Delta, the crew was excellent. I fly them regularly (DM) and I am so thankful that even through the last 2 years this has not changed. Thanks for the great review and keep up the good work!
I just flew out on Delta 6 days ago (round trip) and just returned home. I was not in first class or any special suite, just regular domestic. I didn't have any of that. The plane was quite clean so I'm not sure why some planes are cleaned while others aren't.
Why don't you ever mention to the crew the state of the cabins? I think it would be helpful to the audience to know the crew's response in case we ever find ourselves in a similar situation.
I will never understand the americans. They complain - when in europe - about paying 0,50€ for the bathroom. If some teenager forgot to put ketchup in the bag at mc donalds, but here "the crew is not responsible" sorry, but they are the face of the airline and there for one can complain. @@hothotheat3000
I fly weekly since 2019 and I'm amazed at how the planes were not deep cleaned during covid downtime. The time between landing and boarding isn't sufficient to clean those planes! I've been on planes and the door handle breaks off when trying to enter the bathroom.
I’ve flown Delta on and off for the last 40 years, and their planes have never been clean. The crews are generally snippy, too, and I don’t ask for anything - it’s just an observation from watching them interact with other passengers and amongst themselves. I fly Delta as a last resort.
Sadly, this is also a problem with Emirates on some routes nowadays, although not as bad. I was coming from Boston a few days ago and the seat was quite filthy. It was Business Class, not even Economy
No, not EMIRATES! My dream is dying hard. "Emirates, Oh My Emirates." Such a jazzy carrier -- especially upstairs on the A380 -- but Singapore Airlines SQ is probably better.
@@AlmostMonumental27 I ran into a Emirates cabin crew enroute to Dubai and she was wearing pants instead of skirt. She was the desiganted cleaner during flight, amazing. Emirates is world class
Thank you for addressing the cleanliness issue, I love Delta but they really need to step up their game, specially during COVID times. Flying next week and will bring lysol to clean everything.
When the topic about the filth was brought up I figured it to be cause of a short turn around and cleaning crews were unable to complete the job. But when it was mentioned that the plane had been sitting for 24 hours prior to departure, that's when it has to be said the cleanliness ball was dropped.
Just found this channel, and I just wanted to say how much I love what you’re doing holding companies accountable, rather than take their money and be entirely fake. Cheers bro
Not really. That is more Josh Cahill. I get a more of a reviewer experience. Josh Cahill actually writes to and receives backlash from airlines he has been on.
Delta Diamond status here... put down close to 200k miles last year, this review is spot on. I have written several complaints to Delta about the lack of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Your reviews are splendid especially for someone like me who hasn't flown in DECADES. Last trip for work I was stuck in economy with my boss who reeked, was rude, and generally a pain. Being crammed into a tight seat next to Mr. Stink was miserable. I managed to get upgraded to first class at a layover which really pissed him off. But air travel certainly has changed some not for the better apparently!
The last time I flew delta (coach) was such a disappointment I have never flown with them again over the last 12 years. Flying from the US to France for a 14 day trip, I arrived in France and was informed my only suitcase I had brought was left back in the US by mistake. I was told it would arrive in France following day but I would need to come back to the airport pick it up. After explaining that I had absolutely nothing else to wear or any toiletries they offered me a small toiletry bag that had the bare minimum (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner) which included a white t-shirt with the delta logo which was so thin that my man nips were on display for all to see. After 4 full days without my suitcase, it was finally located and brought to where I was staying. I was relieved and excited to have my warm clothes at last as it was November and not warm. Again delta did not fail to disappoint when I discovered several items (gloves, phone charger, hat, and a couple other new items I had purchased for the trip were missing. I was told by delta that the only thing they could do was provide me the web address to file a claim/complaint. I figured nothelse could go wrong until I was on the flight home. They ran out of food at dinner with about 4 rows of people left. They did apologize but said our only option was to purchase food they had for sale or they could give us more of the free snack bags they hand out with the drink service. That is the last time I will give them my business.
Personally when I flew delta one for 15hr flight I had a delightful experience and the bedding was more comfortable then United’s Polaris first class for 15hr
I noticed that on a short 1 hour flight I took no one cleaned anything. I saw the people leave the plane and we boarded emmediately after. No cleaning whatsoever. We have to remember to bring our own sanitizing wipes to clean our own area.
The cleaning lady at my job, used to clean the Delta places. She said they only have 7 MINUTES to clean the entire plane. Said it was impossible to clean an entire plane in that time, they do NOT clean the seats or anything. Please bring alcohol wipes and clean everything you will touch. This was precovid. I can't imagine it being worse, (and it probably is) since that's bad enough.
Imagine that/those passanger(s) who had that seat before you and didnt care one bit about getting everything filthy.. You can only wonder what their home looks like.. But of course it should be cleaned after each flight.. Looking forward to hear what Delta says when they see this video,or if you made a complaint
I live in a Delta hub city (Minneapolis) so I fly Delta all the time. I have the Amex card for miles, a free first class companion ticket every year, and Skyclub access. So I appreciate their perks. But that dirty cabin was unacceptable! I hope you gave Delta that feedback. They should be embarrassed! But kudos to them for that nice meal.
If the cleaning crew do not take the time to clean the passengers area properly, I'm certain they don't enter the galley to clean it at all. or if so, I doubt very seriously they clean it to standard food safety. The food is actually made in the commissary kitchen so that may be delicious food. However, it's warmed on the plane and the food assembly is on the plane. YUCK! Seeing this, I can almost guarantee the galley in which they prepare the plates for the passengers is NASTY!
I rarely fly, but due to a disability, I need to fly in business class. It’s expensive but I can occasionally afford it. I doubt I’d be able to maneuver my body into that bed configuration. Thank you for the review!
Hi Will, great report. As ex cabin crew who used to work for a certain Heathrow based large carrier we had to check on cleaning standards. What you experienced was disgusting, I do hope you brought this to the attention of DL. Also toilet checks were something carried out on a very frequent basis. Happy travels.....
Thanks for watching Simon, i'm glad you enjoyed it. It's such a shame, as the cleanliness really let this whole experience down. Agreed, a few checks every 20mins or so would rectify any filthy bathroom scenarios, such as this one. Still unsure why the floor was quite as sticky, but hey, I guess best left unknown. Safe travels my friend
The cost of first class flights is ridiculous. You get more space but that's it. Who cares if you get a extra blanket and a set of cheap pajamas! The food still sucks. The seating area and carpets are still dirty. It certainly is not worth charging someone $5,000 to $10,000!
I love watching your videos because I enjoy travelling and going on planes but I can't because of Covid, and watching your videos make me feel a bit like I'm travelling. Keep up the good work🙂 Love from Japan🇯🇵
Very interesting review. I flew Emirates business class and found no complaints. A great experience, from being picked up by chauffeur to being dropped off at my location in the UK.
I sincerely hope you shared this presentation with Delta! With Covid still a thing and the hypocrisy of the video touting their cleaning methods, I should think Delta would be extremely embarrassed and raising hell with New York ground crew … there simply is NO EXCUSE for this for an aircraft on the ground for 24 hours! 🤨
It's VERY simple. It is just about every airline. "No help, no clean". People don't want to clean aircraft for MAYBE 15 bucks an hour and I bet some are paid less then that. Many airlines contract cleaning out to private contractors. The planes don't get very clean, contractors still get paid. Less help, MORE profits. it's really that simple.
@@trvman1 as someone that has worked for Delta for 3 years, this is 100% true. Especially the contractors. They will not do anything for the employees that work on these aircraft and keep the money to themselves.
Very surprised about the grime! I’m watching this 8 months later, and I flew in this exact plane about two months ago, so six months after you. It was actually super clean and comfortable. We flew from Paris to Salt Lake, and it was really quite an enjoyable flight.
In my day as cabin crew it was our task to clean the aircraft at certain ports. Looks a lot like the cabin crew no longer see this as a part of their duties.
@@cakexpress6235 So ... are the toilets just left filthy for the whole flight ?? Part of cabin crew duties should be maintaining a level of cleanliness and HYGIENE during a fucking pandemic. Not just left to the allocated ground clean up crews. That is ridiculous. The sticky floor near the toilet is probably urine which, of course, is another transmission route for the covid virus. On shoes ... into homes ... yuk.
@@lizsteeds6697 I think they are an exception. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard that they get somewhat of a wipedown during a flight but don’t quote me on that.
Interesting comment for access - the ones with the seats closer to the aisle are 'less private' - but are easier to get in and out. So there us a tradeoff. As for cleanliness - yes, that was pretty bad. But those seating pods could have better detail designs so as not to accumulate crud so easily - or be easier to clean. Each seat costs $200k and up.
Thanks for the video! So how come there was no room in your overhead bin? Someone else's belongings were in there? Equipment stored there? Or designed not to have bin room above that specific seat?
Great honest review and I agree the filth is something we shouldn't see nor should any passenger experience. It's the behind the scenes you don't see that takes place. It's bare minimum cabin cleaners, who's rushing from aircraft to aircraft. If they took the time to clean you'd be delayed every time. As a Delta cabin crew, I apologize for the uncleanliness. I would like to say there is a time limit as to how long they can be on board before passengers can board and people can be tough crowds :) especially when delayed. If you only knew! Thanks for flying Delta
I reckon the big question which is not covered in this particular video is any response from Delta; either at the time of posting or later. Should be most embarrassing for Delta, seeing as they push their ‘Cleanliness’ and ‘Covid-care’ in their recorded flight information. Or is it a possibility that the ‘Cleaning’ routines are done by people who just want to get through their days without any worry as to the consequences of their ‘slap-dash’ approach to their jobs; and a complete lack of scrutiny from the management?
How about shitty pay and work benefits ?? ... how quick you are to judge the workers. No doubt it will be a cost cutting effect by the airline company ... reduced cleaning crew hours to save money. The cleanliness was non-existent. A sticky floor in the washroom near the toilet can only mean urine on the floor ffs I can almost guarantee it is penny pinching by the company and labour stretched thin as wages are slashed ...
From the 1980s to the early 2000s, I was a Delta fan. They weren't as good as American back then (domestic US travel), but they were wicked close. Now, I wouldn't fly Delta unless I absolutely had to, and even then I might look into driving. Sad that I feel this way, but the US airline industry (United, American, Delta) don't really seem to focus on delivering a good/great experience for the customer anymore. Guess who's paying the bills? Right....anyways. Now I usually fly JetBlue, Alaska Airlines or Southwest. Or like I said...I'll drive if I have the time. If I just paid thousands for that seat and it looked like that, I'd be asking for money back or equivalent miles perks.
I read recently that JetBlue was way down in quality. Delta is still rated as #1 airline in the US if you care about getting to your destination on time
Delta was the best on cleaning their aircraft during the pandemic. I flew Southwest and there was tons of trash on the flood and crumbs. Delta was ranked the #1 best airline in the US for many years now. The fact that you let 1 video ruin your experience with Delta is just foolish. You're not flying Emirates here, you cannot expect the cabin to be *spotless.*
@@thecomedypilot5894 Yes, it was only ONE video that ruined my experience....not so much, but hey, everyone has an opinion...I can and DO expect the cabin to be spotless EVERY time, no matter WHAT airline or class of service. It's called doing THE job.
I fly economy on Delta and the planes are always dirty and old. A320s and 737s are what I fly on. After the pandemic, they were a little less dirty. You can see the extra cleaning. I recently started flying Southwest. Their 737s are new and clean. Great service. Great experience. I only fly Delta when Southwest doesn't fly where I need to go.
That cabin looks like it hasn’t been cleaned since the plane was built. There’s build-up of crumbs and dust there that’s many weeks old, possibly months. The claim that Covid is the excuse for no cleaning, is strange. But it’s a viral illness, and airline unions (let’s face it they’re likely to blame) deciding not to clean cabins between flights, speaks for itself.
Here is a tip on handwashing (no matter the place)....turn on water, apply soap, vigorously scrub hands for at least 20 seconds and rinse (leave faucet running). Immediately grab paper towels and dry hands thoroughly . Use dry paper towels to turn faucet off and unlatch door. Then dispose of paper towel. The point being...you don't want to touch already contaminated areas after washing hands.
Delta was one of the last to restore hot meals of the big three domestic carriers in the US. But that cabin, or at least your seat was filthy and disgusting. I’ve never had that on AmericanAirlines. I’m glad you’re doing these reviews of domestic carriers for all us people who are stuck traveling within the US in business or first class. It’s too bad you had to pay for that Mr. Trendy. Thanks for another great review!❤️👍✈️
I really wish one of the 3 large domestic US carriers would release a competitive product both in the US and globally. Can't enjoy status in America with JetBlue, Alaska and Southwest as better domestic products but not offering many routes internationally.
Airlines keep talking about ‘enhance cleaning’ and the use of those fancy sprays. Well, let me tell ya. That does NOTHING if you don’t physically scrub and remove debris and grease with actual soap or detergent. THEN you can use sanitizer. Pretty much all the airlines aren’t clean enough. I’m frequently cleaning grime off surfaces. Less fancy talk airlines. More actual cleaning.
Have only sub your channel last night and I’m so addictive to your re views videos I was most impressed with the Qatar air way as I’m going on it very soon so thank for your re views on that plane I’m really buzzing on going on that amazing plane ♥️
I remember flying Delta from Sea to PVG in 2018 in their Delta One on a 767. I swear there were duct tape on the floors and the bathroom. Pretty pathetic.
That bedding issue is bizarre. If you’ve got beds and people are paying for them then bedding should be an absolute mandatory. As for how dirty it is, an extra few minutes would have made it clean which is extremely disappointing. When you pay the money you expect the extra few mins cleaning at least.
It certainly looks to me as an airport ops employee that the aircraft actually wasn't cleaned at all after previous sector. There are 3 stages of aircraft cleaning - gashing (stripping cabin rubbish, emptying bins etc) , disinfecting/surface wiping and finally dressing the soft goods like blankets, headrest covers, vacuuming and toilet amenities (all three steps lacking today). My gut feeling is that the only way this can happen is a rego change to a spare aircraft on a long layover or ex hangar maintenance without physically checking the aircraft after the aircraft was swapped. The multiple step failure at Delta JFK is that Gate staff should have checked when they applied the aerobridge and advised ops and then the Cabin crew should also have done a visual cabin inspection as they walked on, and told ground ops it wasn't cleaned at all. Put it this way, even if it was discovered last minute before boarding that flight should have been delayed to accommodate a clean. Even a so-called "quick clean" (less thorough) would have made it superficially much better than that. I would have complained to crew as soon as I got onboard and noticed that pigsty. The photographic/filmed evidence would be a written/email complaint to Customer Relations/Media demanding some form of compensation in form of voucher or upgrade certificate.
My thoughts ( though not as technical as I don't work in this field) were similar. Someone dropped the ball. I have flown Delta and have always had an excellent experience, and never experienced a dirty cabin. The restroom however? I have always made a point of either trying NOT to use it, or going early in the flight as possible. Otherwise, I bring my cleaning wipes in with me , and I don't care what anyone says. I have, however, done that after my 1st flight ✈️ in '89 on a United flight to Orlando. 🙂
I recently flew on a Delta A330 charter flight to and from Beijing (14 hour flight). I was in economy plus, but we all had an entire row of seats to ourselves and were lucky enough to have business class service throughout the entire plane. Food was excellent, FAs were friendly and attentive, and I didn’t really notice any uncleanliness.
As a former enthusiastic frequent flyer, I no longer desire to fly. It is obvious that the enforcement of standards is getting worse, not better. How long before this affects the maintenance of aircraft?
Thank you for the wonderful review glad to see I’m not the only one who has noticed especially recently how dirty some of deltas planes are. Like you I am a Delta platinum member. I typically fly first class domestic and business or a first class product for international flights I’ve also flown many other airlines and had some absolutely amazing experiences. One of my best experiences was Asiana both to South Korea and to Australia. Both of those flights were pre-2020. The planes were exceptionally clean and the service was amazing. But I bought a many delta flights especially in the last two years and been a palled at how dirty they were not let me be clear I’m a nurse married to a doctor I am not going to get into the ins and outs of Covid everybody has their opinions these days and everybody thinks they’re an expert but I definitely find it interesting that we are required to wear masks and they hand you a little sanitizing packets but yet they can’t simply keep the planes clean which One would expect no matter what is going on in the world to get on a plane and for the seat and tray table to simply be clean just like when I go to a restaurant or eat in the food court at the mall I expect the tables to be wiped in the restrooms to be clean and they are not it seems like we’re spending a lot of time these days preaching at people to wear a mask social distance alcohol your hands till they are Rall but we can’t do things that make much more logical sense like keeping bathrooms clean wiping things down between different parties things that really do make a difference in spreading germs but they also make experience in the world simply nice. I have to say most of the time I’ve had good experiences with the Delta crews I’ve had a lot worse experiences with American Airlines and I’m a gold member there. But I certainly had my share of snippy cruise especially when I’m flying with my children primarily my youngest one who seems to be ignored in the first class cabins now I know just like with Covid everybody has their opinions on whether children should fly first class or not let me be clear no parent is perfect and no child is perfect but mine have traveled the world since birth so they’re very used to being out in public and know how to behave I’ve had many passengers complement me on how well behaved they were I don’t allow them to get out of their seat with the exception of needing to use the restroom I’ve never had a baby cry I’ve never changed a dirty diaper or others are exposed to it and I’ve literally flown for 7 hours with my youngest and she’s never moved from her seat. (with the exception of me taking her to the bathroom one time she was still wearing a diaper then and if I had not picked her up and said let’s go wash up and check your diaper she would not have even flinched she slept most of the way) so with my disclaimer stated it’s very frustrating when I’ve boarded planes and I’ll take drink and food orders and completely ignore her my older kids usually don’t have a problem these days but experience the same when they were younger I like I said I’m not a perfect parent and they are not perfect children but I do believe children can be a nice restaurants Fly on premium products when parents first and foremost know their children’s habits and know how to set them up for success and also parent them meaning that that’s not the time to enjoy the luxury product if you’re going to take your child along you have to be actively engaging in the parenting duties not sleeping drinking etc. so although most of the time I have experienced that particular situation on American Airlines I have had a Delta crewmember or two that I was severely disappointed in the lack of service equally to all paying passengers. Anyways glad to see I’m not the only one who has noticed things have not been clean like I said not to get into the back-and-forth as to whether we should or shouldn’t be doing certain Covid mitigation strategies or whether they work it just makes me frustrated and chuckle that we are doing certain things things that I think whether you agree or don’t agree most of us can agree with the fact that they’re not all enjoyable and yet despite that they can’t do their simple part of keeping the plane clean and they’re still charging high premiums they’ve taken away services although Delta has brought most of them back (i’ve still noticed a lack of things like blankets on shorter flights in standard first class) I just feel like if they expect us to do certain things they could at least wipe the planes down now I understand there is very little time between turnover although not in this case the plane was on the ground for 24 hours but many times you literally watch passengers get off in a few minutes later you’re boarding. I certainly don’t know what the answer is but I do know that I’d like to stop doing certain things if they can’t keep the planes clean that’s just my opinion I’m sure many will have a different comment on it hopefully my disclaimer will prevent it turning into a back-and-forth this was not meant to be a Covid discussion just simply a statement that if we are supposed to do certain things they should keep their end of the bargain up and keep things clean (although they should probably do that regardless). Thanks for the really nice review. Sorry it wasn’t the best flight.
I booked a flight on Virgin Atlantic to Europe last year and paid for business class. The flight over was amazing but they transferred me to a Delta flight on the way home and it was HORRIBLE. I wouldn't ever choose to fly with them again.
I'm glad you have this forum to tell the world about the filthy plane. A letter sent to Delta would have been chucked in the waste basket. The problem is perhaps the result of an insufficient number of cleaning staff and/or expecting too much from the poorly-paid cleaners.
Could you imagine being privileged enough to even be able to afford something like this, and just completely dog it because the under staffed company can't get enough underpaid employees to detail the plane every time it lands. Be grateful and move on instead of thinking you are tackling relatable issues.
Hygiene = health. The fact that this reviewer can afford to fly business class is irrelevant. That's just your jealousy speaking. Personally, if you are paying for a superior product, then you expect to receive it. To put it in terms you might understand. Go to McDonalds and order a bag of fries. Is there mold on the cardboard carton they're in? Would you eat them or would you complain? It's the same thing - health issue.
I really appreciated this video. I was planning to fly Delta one on my next trip to Paris. I know now what to realistically expect. Be assured that I will document any discrepancies with cabin cleanliness and demand either compensation or a refund.
I agree with you about the filth at your seat but the dirty lavatory is on the passengers. How difficult is it to completely flush a toilet or pick up after one’s self?
Agreed it’s important for passengers to keep the lav clean but it should be refreshed throughout the flight by the cabin crew as per other premium cabins. The overflowing trash and sticky floor however are not acceptable
I’m a retired aircraft groomer of a major Canadian airline. I have seen fellow employees pour tonic water on washroom floors to clean 🧼 the floors. Yes, the floor may look clean, but the result is that the floor gets sticky when the sofa water dries. It was pointless to try to tell them not to do this as they learned this bad practice from senior employees and sadly I have seen quite a few people cleaning washroom and galley floors that way.
Love the reviews! One of my favorite RUclipsrs! I love to fly! I think you should try out United Airlines Polaris Business Class! The good business class, not the old bad one! Big Fan @Trek Trendy
Also suggestion, from couple videos of yours, dont open wc door with you hand after you washed them. Think that someone closed it with dirty hand or opened before you without washing their hands. So basically you washed your hands for nothing. Use paper towel or something.
Getting your space clean would use a hand vac, cleaner sheets for the bathroom, a bag for trash and lots of sanitary wipes. 30 minutes later and you’re clean. I cleaned executive offices and bathrooms for several years. Never had a complaint to my cleaning.

As a DL frequent flyer (Diamond Status) thank you for shedding light on this issue. It’s pretty consistent these days. I feel most pandemic-related cleaning practices have stopped while other services like poor food and amenities in domestic F are still somehow reduced, with the blame on COVID…

While they beg for government handouts with one hand, then blame the pandemic with the other, neither hand is doing its real job anymore.

Now with Delta charging a ridiculous amount for flights + their point devaluation, there is just an abundance of good competition for international flights nowadays
and the also dont resprect their partnerships anymore. I am a skyteam platinum member and usually eligible for certain perks. not anymore it looks...

Never did?
US airlines in the 50’s and 60’s were the best in the world.

I brought this up repeatedly to management ( in Sea), and they could care less. Can't risk a delay in boarding metrics to clean up.
Filthy
Wet ones are definitely something that people should have with them at all times. Life savers.

I sincerely hope you shared this presentation with Delta!

One my favorite reviewers these days. keep up the good work
I reckon the big question which is not covered in this particular video is any response from Delta; either at the time of posting or later.
Delta is too busy shaming passengers and making their next woke advertisement.
How about shitty pay and work benefits ??
... how quick you are to judge the workers. No doubt it will be a cost cutting effect by the airline company ... reduced cleaning crew hours to save money.
The cleanliness was non-existent. A sticky floor in the washroom near the toilet can only mean urine on the floor ffs
I can almost guarantee it is penny pinching by the company and labour stretched thin as wages are slashed ...
The airline industry in the US has always been behind in most facets of the entire flight experience. They have not caught with the premium airlines.
@@itsnotme07 Well then you should probably never fly again because you'll never have a flight where there is not 1 single crumb on the floor.
@@thecomedypilot5894 LOL Yep, maybe I shouldn't.
Thank you for giving us simple but thorough reviews without excessive editing and talking nonsense.
What kind of coat is your red coat and where did you get it, I really like it!

Oh man! Thank you for being honest. My OCD would’ve kicked in high gear if I were on that plane. Thank you for your review.
9:28 - That meal costs Delta about $12.50 and it's "priced" into your ticket at $117.50. Enjoy!
I really wish one of the 3 large domestic US carriers would release a competitive product both in the US and globally. Can't enjoy status in America with JetBlue, Alaska and Southwest as better domestic products but not offering many routes internationally.
Jetblue with the 321xlr one to begin more routes to Europe and to Hawaii and for Latin America from what I hear. And planing longe this summer
You and all the travel bloggers are providing an invaluable service. Thanks! Hope the airlines are listening.
Have only sub your channel last night and I’m so addictive to your re views videos I was most impressed with the Qatar air way as I’m going on it very soon so thank for your re views on that plane I’m really buzzing on going on that amazing plane ♥️
Had a friend who was a Delta luggage handler, he said cleaners go through in about 5/10 mins....not a deep clean in that time!
Undeniably the best channel on yt
Thank you so much 🙏🏼
I remember flying Delta from Sea to PVG in 2018 in their Delta One on a 767.
They just dropped Westin Heavenly bedding last month, so it doesn’t surprise me that they’re struggling again.
Disgusting interior. I would avoid Delta unless I had no other choice. Thanks for shining the spotlight on this problem, Will!
Us average people couldn’t afford business class. I would love it extremely.
Now that you made me aware, I will make sure to bring one carry on full of cleaning materials. :)
Pathetic that Delta - which identifies itself as "premium" - won't properly clean their aircraft before and throughout flight. Lazy sky Karens.
I'm glad you have this forum to tell the world about the filthy plane. A letter sent to Delta would have been chucked in the waste basket. The problem is perhaps the result of an insufficient number of cleaning staff and/or expecting too much from the poorly-paid cleaners.
Emails mean nothing now..it is social media that has the power to make them change.
Could you imagine being privileged enough to even be able to afford something like this, and just completely dog it because the under staffed company can't get enough underpaid employees to detail the plane every time it lands. Be grateful and move on instead of thinking you are tackling relatable issues.
Flight attendants for delta make up to 60$ an hour. Shut up with your nonsense of “UnDeUrpaId eMploYees” you have no idea what you’re talking about.
Would love to know if you complained about the (lack of) cleanliness?
I agree with you about the filth at your seat but the dirty lavatory is on the passengers. How difficult is it to completely flush a toilet or pick up after one’s self?
Agreed it’s important for passengers to keep the lav clean but it should be refreshed throughout the flight by the cabin crew as per other premium cabins. The overflowing trash and sticky floor however are not acceptable
@@Trektrendy-Indeed. But then who would want to be served by a flight attendant after seeing them head to the head with bucket and mop?🍻
Good video. I must remember to bring sanitary wipes. Thank you. ✈
The fact you pay for First Class and then have to pay to use the lounge is just another example of big business shitting on everyone.
Love watching all you vlogs for the total honesty 👍👍always engaging to watch
