切れなくなってきた菱ぎりを真似て研いでみました。
砥石も同じ物を購入し、研いでみたところ、思いの外簡単に刃が付き、程よい穴が空けられました。

Thank you for this, i have a diamond shaped awl. It's trickier to sharpen, can you do a tutorial.
This was diamond shaped. But he chose to reshape to a flat awl. Like for French style pricking irons.

With an awl, you need to punch holes to easily pass the thread. This diamond-shaped awl was specially sharpened under a rhombus, spent time and skill ... What is the point of such a sharpening?
This shape (like a sword) is best for European style stitching as it makes less wide holes. The resulting shape of the hole is still a rhombus, just thinner, so the resulting stitching looks better.
仕上げなどもとても美しいですが途中からほぼほぼ解説もなく菱ギリの研ぎ解説としては不親切かなと思いました。必要なのは解説が無くなった中程だと思うので次の菱ギリ研ぎの動画があれば期待します。
